It's still happening intermittently, and also internal forum images (avatars and UI elements etc) aren't loading, this time with a 403 error. The image proxy for external images seems unaffected. It seems to be Cloudflare related.
Yup, I've been battling, too. I'm on Tor, so browsing the forum is always a bit of a hassle (spend my life hitting CTRL+SHIFT+L), but it's been worse than normal lately (intermittently).

I'm using crhome and I'm doing fine so far although sometimes I feel a little irritated because of the slow internet connection. Yes, it's obviously very annoying.
Are you sure the slow internet connection isn't from your side, depending on the device you're using, network and broadband connectivity you're on to? Sometimes, it could be. I use chrome too and haven't been witnessing that error message assessing this forum. Nonetheless, I must admit that it's like this is becoming a thing on BTT. There's A Brief Break in Transmission thread that I commented on yesterday on this same issue. I hope this issue is speedily taken care of before it becomes highly irritating.

Not experienced any such error on the forum from many days and it's loading completely fine over my devices and have checked again both on chrome and firefox and the page is instantly loading so this error is on your side only.

Although the normal cloudfare check is there which is this kind when I try to check for all pages of a thread to load them :

But the Error 400 bad request you are getting is fault on your internet as it's not able to load the page and showing you up this error but it's only for few minutes only and you will be able to login back again soon or you can try to :

1) Clear the cache on your browser
2) Clear Browser cookies
3) Check your internet connection
4) Restart your system

And this issue will be solved as we have also encountered with these sort of error sometimes but not from a long time has witnessed these kind of HTTP bad request but don't worry about it.

I haven't experienced any bad request errors lately. Nothing out of ordinary is happening with either Chrome or Firefox from the two locations I access the forum from. If it was a widespread thing, Meta would be filled with complaints and drama, but we aren't seeing it. Someone did create a thread about not being able to access Bitcointalk maybe 2-3 weeks ago, but similarly to yours, other users reported that everything was fine on their end.

I also use Firefox, and I hadn't had any issues lately. I visit the forum at least a couple of times a day. I'd recommend trying some of the basic steps: clearing your cache and cookies, resetting your router to get a new IP address (if your ISP gives you a connection with a dynamic IP). Hopefully, that will get you going.

Some people experiencing it but most aren't (including myself)? Typical Cloudflare edge network issue. The data center that's supposed to be relaying your requests to Bitcointalk must be malfunctioning.

Yep, same with me. I am also using Chrome and I never experienced any problems when I accessed the forum with my Laptop.
But I ever experienced that the forum cannot be accessed when I was trying to access it with my smartphone. I was not really sure what the reason is, whether it was caused by my connection or something wrong with the forum.

By the way, I guess your problem with a slow internet connection has nothing to do with the problem explained by Foxpup above. It is surely caused by your own connection, mate.   Smiley

I access the forum most at times through my phone but I notice that the connection is slow when I use Firefox than Chrome. Although the 400 error I had experienced was through accessing from chrome. I think the bad/slow connection was as a result of bad weather, because I notice ones there is a clear weather it moves on fine.

I used to be a Firefox user, but it's only been a few months since I switched to Chrome.
The problem is not like yours. only the older access got me moving. I realize my problem is not specifically related to the Bitcointalk site. the problem is in my Firefox.
after that, I no longer use Firefox to access forums. Chrome is more friendly now.

I haven't had issues recently but used to run into problems with the forum and/or cloudflare creating too many cookies. I don't recall what the error code was, but it wasn't particularly descriptive, might have been the generic 400. Checking request headers via dev tools would reveal a huge amount of garbage. Clearing the cookies would take care of it.

I think some time last week, I also experienced something which is related to this as well, if not actually the same thing...
I made a post about it HERE on Bitcointalk, though after this experience, I've not come across such screen again till today.

You already gave a clear and understandable explanation as to what could be the possible cause of the problem, my hope is that it doesn't get worse over time, and that those in charge could try to find out if there is a way this could be fixed.

Not at even once in the past few days, i'm using firefox too but for mobile.
400 bad request errors are mostly in client side so its probably just on your side doing as others dont usually experienced it. Clearing cache or cookies, and clearing dns cache might work.

I didn't have any issues whatsoever in last few days and I did browsing with several different browsers.
It is possible that Cloudflare temporary blacklisted your IP address, so you could try testing with Tor or vpn to see if there are any improvements.
You can also try Librewolf fork of Firefox or Brave browser, and if everything works fine than you have issue with your Firefox browser.

I have indeed hitting some errors when accessing the search option over the past few days, did not note the particular error, and also did nottthink too much of it, as it was not in an amount to be bothered about.

I'm guessing your case is of a much higher duration than 2-4 errors over that span of about 3 days and over two different browsers (Firefox and duckduckgo).

Today not at all. Got that in the past now and then - very seldom - but not today.
I am reading the forum from Chrome on desktop and Firefox on mobile.

I don't think it's a problem related to the browser, I would blame the ISP and maybe your current IP address (did you try to restart your router?)

However, not sure if it worths to mention (not relevant I think)- I had very bad experience with forum search as it was taking years to load the search result which resulted in giving up.

I've done a search right now, it was not fast, clearly, but not too slow either, but the keyword/number of results matters.
However, I recommend you use https://ninjastic.space/search , it does the job better in most cases.

I wasn't online for last few days but browsing the forum from last more than an hour. Usual Cloudflare browser check, nothing more. All is working just fine. I could be too late to this too, if there were any issue at all.

I had very bad experience with forum search as it was taking years to load the search result which resulted in giving up.
Forum search was never a good tool. It gives you better result when you are using short distance day range like 5 days back or 10 days back but when you are looking for long days back then you are meant to get results those are irrelevant.

No. I can't remember if I had used firefox or not in the last few days as I use both firefox and Chrome frequently but I had no issue like this you mentioned. However, not sure if it worths to mention (not relevant I think)- I had very bad experience with forum search as it was taking years to load the search result which resulted in giving up.
