Most gamblers aimed winning and winning. Just in first minutes early aiming for fun. Betting always ask for a reciprocity, thats profit. If only for fun, i think it's just waste of time.

Either way gambling is still gambling but I think most gamblers prefer to seek fun rather than they seek profit. There are a couple though who are seeking profits but as day goes by they will realize it is not that easy to target profit from gambling so they would switch to a fun play rather than profit play.
every gambler starts gambling to make easy money but the real time experience will make them switch fun gambling. You can give any adivice they won't listen until they experienced it by own. Some people will realise, and they switch to fun gambling, but some people will addict to this gambling. 
For me I just play for fun and nothing more than that... Before i already encounter and suffer such losses and i alredy regret swear not to do it again. Even if it is hard I tried controlling my self and set up some limitation in me, not only to avoid such failures but also to quit gambling slowly. My advice to a newbie would be to take gambling as a form of entertainment and not a money-making opportunity. Always go in with a loss limit and do not chase your losses. In the long-run, the house always wins, so be prepared to lose some money in the long-run, realistically speaking.
Actually if the goal is to have fun or to make money just the same. The most important is to gamble with a calm heart, do not get carried away emotion when gambling. And all the other suggestions from you are the right things to me.
Sometimes people seek for fun first in gambling to relax from work and once they enjoy in betting and win they will want more to gain profit from it. Having a limit and control to myself in losing an amount in taking a risk in gambling will might save something what I have.
There is nothing called fun seeking gamblers they simply termed themselves as fun seeking because they have lost a lot of funds. I play gambling to make a profit and so other gamblers. Those who are saying they only play gambling just for fun is sounds more an alibi to me if they lose. Whenever you decided to go to gambling, your main goal is to make a profit.
I was a lottery gambler few years ago and of course at that time my only purpose was for profit only. There is no fun thing on local lottery except I won something. Well being a profit makes desperate to achieve certain amount or you won't stop until you got what I need where as fun seeker you are already prepared to lose some money and it is less stress because even if you lost, at least you had the contentment of seeing the odds and watching people question there decisions when they lost or they got robbed after they had a big win.

My side is always on profit seeking gamblers, because i'm not a rich guy that go to gambling only for fun. I need money and also my reason to gambling is to get profit, i know it's very risky but here i am. My suggestion to newbie about gambling is don't chase your loses, if you keep chasing you will get more loses for sure.

To profit, you can only consider those types of gambling in which you can analyze the outcome of events, all other types of gambling should be used only for entertainment.

Honestly, I'm fine I just gamble the amount I afford to lose and as for the newbies don't gamble too much if you can't loss and risk.
this i guess is the oldest questions that people ask. and i believe it doesn't have to be one or another. you can do both at the same time. in fact one of the best part of the "fun" is the "profit". for example when you win the lottery or win the roll on a dice game you have extra fun and that fun is what gamblers are after.

Entertainment in gambling to me is a fall out from the original plan of money making objective because I don't see anyone who will lose money and be happy about it. Even if it's to waste it, you get to give someone and be happy you put smile on someone face. If its entertainment you don't get to retry when you lose because deep down within, you want to recover what you lost and there is no two way to that.

That is true, in addition to these tips is that newbies should try only small amounts and not go all in or go big when they are starting. Since, they do not know what will happen when they dip their foot in the water. Gambling is totally something for the mature minded person. It's really hard for immature people to avoid addiction and getting bankrupt.
