Here is a small mod you may add to the OP for the fan of the fury.

I checked the oil well on the fan that comes with the fury. Dry as a bone.

http://acehardwaremaldives.com/product/auto/10705/
http://www.overclock.net/t/773256/prepping-a-sleeve-bearing-fan-for-work

Note to nst6563
Maybe nst may put that link in the mod section of the OP or second of the OP. It's best to control the fury/blizard by manual diff?
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/guidelist-of-all-scrypt-mining-pools-manually-change-difficulty-645532

Maybe if you can nst, throw both of these into your mod/tuning section somewhere?

1st post updated.  Sorry, was out of commission most of the day with a migraine...I hate those things.

Yes. The smell come from within the miner. Cry Cry Cry

No visible damage to me.

It's a very normal setting
--zeus-cc 6 --zeus-rc 300 --zeus-cg --zeus-clk 340 -S zeus:\\.\COM4 --no-submit-stale

Is it Zeus or GAW? You seem to have a legitimate case for warranty replacement.

Damn, was mining halfway and 1 of my miner got down and i smell burnt smell coming from it...it was only with me for 3 days..

Are you sure it's the miner and not the power supply? If there is visible damage can you post a picture?

Beautiful.........  Grin  Grin  Grin

I upped my diff to 1024 for the fury. Pools side is reading 1.4 from the fury, + 3048 from my gridseeds.

NST, you rock brotha!

What is the command u use for requesting difficulty ?

Side-track. Would you guys like to setup a whatsapp group ?

Did you do any mod to it ? what is the temperature of your miner ? seems like one of my week 4 fury is nt hitting 1.3mh. keep bouncing between 1.25 to 1.28

Abesoultly no mods to anything, I cant get the exact temp but I cant tell you that they are not hot at all, the are a little warm to the touch but definitely not hot. notice in my config my clock speed is 340 and not stock of 328 I think and this was determined from the bfg miner thread linked in the op https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=20477.0

thebotnet, what's your pool side hash rate for these? what happens when you run them all on the same instance of BFGminer?

poolside rate is 4.2mh/s 24hour average. I tried running them all in one instance but 1 of the 3 wouldn't report right for some reason and in the op here https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=20477.0 it says
Quote
It seems that the current driver has issues with a dedicated amount of parallel miners (>=5) in a single instance AND more then one miner per instance leads to a drain (10-20%) of accepted shares from the pool.
im not sure if that pertains to my setup or any of yours but they seem to run the best in their own separate instance.

Also here is a picture of my setup of the 3 Furys, notice how I setup the power supplies on their sides so they can get better air flow from the fans on the Fury.

This is my 3 week 4 Furys running BFG-Miner 4.2.2 on clevermining.com with vardiff for 2 days with each Fury on a separate instance.
Code:
bfgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://us.clevermining.com:3333 -u MyAddress -p x --zeus-cc 6 --zeus-clk 340 -S zeus:\\.\COM3 --no-submit-stale

Is there any software where we can monitor the hashrate as well as the temperature of our miner ?

I've read that a higher difficulty will reduce hw errors.  According to the documentation available the Zeus chips like a higher difficulty unlike the gridseeds which preferred a lower difficulty.

If that holds true...then raising difficulty should reduce hw errors.

I usually run mine with 256-512 difficulty when I can set it manually.  I've seen it as high as 1024-2048 with vardiff though.

Would it be better for the miner if i remove all the casing and run them without it ? cooling measure  Tongue

Unless you have a huge heatsink to put on the backside of the circuitboard, I would say absolutely not.  You'll do more harm than good.  The casing IS the heatsink.  If you want to take further 'cooling measures' then replace the stock thermal paste with some good quality non-conductive/non-capacitive thermal paste and add some small heatsinks to the tops of the chips and add a fan to blow through the chamber.

This is what i bought
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Cooling-kit-72pcs-For-Bitcoin-Miner-Antminer-ASIC-180GH-s-DIY-Aluminum-Heatsink-Cooler-Reduce-About/1661008735.html

Low profile enough to keep the case on. I should have them soon I hope.

And then I got some pk-3 thermal paste and cleaner to redo that backside.

Should help a lot. I have no idea why they are cooling from the backside. The PCB doesn't transfer heat very well and the chips are getting super hot in the stock setup.
