Bitcoin will have a great future but it depends on its users and businesses in the financial sector because without its users help bitcoin itself cannot develop and expand in the world through adoption and also businesses plays a major role in that because there concern to combine there core transactions is essential to speed up the process and bitcoin more popular in the financial sector which are things happening right now so we would see a great future than today for bitcoin
Bitcoin has brighter future, as time goes by it became more popular in the entire world, though a lot of countries so far are little by little getting aware of it. But still majority didn't accept it as one the tools to help their economy. But someday Bitcoin has a potential to become the world currency in my point of view on this one. Where I think this also be the thinking of others community here in this industry.
When I come across phrases such as this" the future of bitcoin" I think about the many possibilities that bitcoin could usher in in the universe.
I think about the potentials and the cryptocurrency untapped market.
I think about the future if Pay when bitcoin I later accepted generally as a payment medium.
Then I come to the conclusion the future of bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole is very bright.

1. During the Hype the transactions costs where at 10$, who wants to pay 10$ if he want to buy a coffee in the coffee shop around the corner. Furthermore the confirmation of those transactions were very slow. It took too much time for daily usage. Sure, Lightning should solve the problem, and all ppl which are involved in it are saying what a nice technic and that it will be the Future. But the not technic customer has no idea how to use it.
You mentioned a point that has been discussed for several months in the bitcoin community. For some people bitcoin is good and for other people they want bitcoin to be adopted around the world and for that it should have improvements. Then they fight: the centralization VS decentralization. The case here is:
- What is the purpose of bitcoin?
Be decentralized? or be a means of payments used around the world? or be both? this is a matter that generates war in the community
2. In my opinion POW-Systems are also not sustainable for the future. In a world where sustainability and environmental friendliness gets more important, POW is a waste of energy. And, it's not even profitable anymore.
This is another big problem.
3. Decentralization, the best argument for Bitcoin is the decentralization. But it can also be used against the Bitcoin. Because it isn't as decentralized as it should. 5 Pools would have more than 51% of the total hash rate. It sounds not real, that they would do a 51% attack on BTC, but nobody says that it won't happen in the future.
This may become worse in the next years... Because only giant companies will dominate this mining market
the future of finance is always a thing people do not want to discuss under the topic called "evolving technologies" as it tends to override the already existing financial structure setup by institutionalised agencies and regulated bodies both locally and internationally. but the truth be told today, Cryptocurrency is the future.
We all really don’t know what is the future of bitcoin is, but we all have the power to make it big in the future, we all need to think of something for bitcoin to be recognised all over the world so that the people all over the world will also use it for their everyday lives. Maybe we should advertise it more or we have to use it for everyday life. In my case, i use bitcoin for having my cellphone load.
Bitcoin is a first cryptocurrency coin. And bitcoin much more popular coin. I think bitcoin future very good. And one day all people will use bitcoin without Pocket money.
the current situation is quite troubling, Bitcoin owners and users are starting to feel bored with the value of bitcoin which is not moving forward significantly, but what should be praised, the enthusiasm of crypto lovers does not fade. it seems that it keeps increasing, it indicates that the future of bitcoin can still look good, of course with optimism.
The future of Bitcoin and Blockchain is very bright and optimistic. Yes, Proof of Work (PoW) is a waste of time and waste of energy. Hence Proof of Stake (PoS) is suitable and acceptable. It will help the development of cryptocurrencies transactions.

My opinion about bitcoin at the future will be more success and have higher price, how ever when you see bitcoin at lower price right now, never worry and keep hold your bitcoin because speculative price is usually happen at bitcoin, its not the first time bitcoin at lower price, we still remember when China banned bitcoin and make price down, but just few months later bitcoin come back to the higher price and have stronger support from investor.
The future of bitcoin will not rely on bitcoin itself or its popularity , the big support and trust of the people ,the customers and investors to the bitcoin and this cryptocurrency ,will determined its faith and fortune , with the real support of the different stake holders for bitcoin , means it will be the fall, the fate of bitcoin is from the strong support of userof bitcoin.

So, what is your choice if you don't choose bitcoin as a coin who will replace? And I just curious when someone who have high motivated for cryptocurrency replace money fiat using. Whereas anyone can use both simultaneously in their live, including you. Because untill know we need fiat, seriously. Cryptocurrency was suitable to be use as investment place or a place to get profit just look the movement cryptocurrency price in a few years back till now, whilst money fiat can be used as a transactions tool because have previous functions and the government strongly recommends using money fiat to be used in all transactions.
Everyone seems to be concerned with bitcoin future more than anything else. Well, bitcoin was never stable and it has shown fluctuations in the past as well. In Aug 2011, the value of bitcoin fell down by 57% in just three days and people thought bitcoin is going to end soon. It came back to its peak value in 2017. Though it is extremely volatile right now, there are chances of it getting back to normal. I think it will keep fluctuating in the future as well because it is not a stable coin. People who think that it will turn into real currency are extremely mistaken. This is not going to happen anytime soon but its the best way for people to invest and earn a profit.
bitcoin is constantly improving and evolving, and so far it has been the best cryptocurrency that has been created because it is at a balance between all the features. it is not going all out on one thing to sacrifice everything else. like having faster transactions without decentralization.
of course like any technology it has only so much to improve but we have at least another 50 to 80 years before we see something that can beat bitcoin in its game.
You have a point about that, sacrificing the decentralization with a faster transaction is not a good idea in my opinion because Bitcoin is decentralized and no one controls it but the majority of the people hodling it determines its value. As what I see, the future of Bitcoin will be awesome even there is a lot of negativity spreading all over the crypto space I am still optimistic and will still believe in Bitcoin's technology and progress to the following years ahead. That 50 to 80 years is so long but I guess it those years the technology had grown dramatically and the usage of paper money could be at minimal because the majority of the people is using Digital type of currency or Crypto Currencies.of course like any technology it has only so much to improve but we have at least another 50 to 80 years before we see something that can beat bitcoin in its game.
i chose 50 to 80 years because like any other technology there will always going to be a better version of it eventually so it is safe to assume some day we will see a better alternative. but at the same time we have to consider that fact that bitcoin itself is brand new still and on top of that it is also changing and improving. so it won't happen anytime soon.
We should realize that, bitcoin is the key to success in life.we cannot even think of our life without bitcoin. Bitcoin going to end up then the world will fall in acute poverty and people will lead very unhappy and miserable life in near future if it is not controlled. So bitcoin is future.

ohm well the creation of a centrally contrlled cryptocurrency index has nothing to do with decentralisation its, just a powergrab by the bitcoin founders.
bitcoin is more central then the central banks that have at least democratic humanist controll.
bitcoins indexation system that keeps it higher than other cryptocurrencies, has a very very central structure, so there is no point talking about decentralisation when talking about bitcoin, cause its not.
