If you are thinking of mass adoption = to higher demand than you are right. Because mass adoption can really generate a new demand that Bitcoin is yet to experience. The price will considerably go up because the higher the demand will get the higher the proce will Bitcoin have. With that being said Bitcoin is still yet to mine all of the Bitcoin out there, until then we may now say Bitcoin has a limited supply to match the increasimg demand.
1 BTC = 10^8 satoshis = 100,000,000 satoshis
The estimated world population in 2017 is 7.5 billion
So 7.5 bitcoin is enough to give everyone 1 satoshi
According to survey : As of 6 February 2016, there are 15.2 million bitcoins circulation of a capped total of 21 million.
15.2 million BTC divided by 7.2 equals 2026666.667 BTC
2026666.667 satoshis can be given to every individual
lets say bitcoin's price is about 10 million dollars....
What Im trying to say is Bitcoin is enough to sustain the exchanges and demand of the current fiat system.
