I don't really think use of cryptocurrency can make use of FIAT currencies go extinct, it's not possible. Both are essential in their own ways. As a matter of fact, crypto is dope but doesn't fit into all scenarios, so both crypto and FIAT are necessary for successful day to day finance activities. Crypto mainstream adoption will come someday, we all hope so but nobody knows when, so for now let's be optimistic.
Cryptocurrency is a new breakthrough with the sophistication of blockchain technology that will provide tremendous convenience in the digital world. I am proud to know and be part of cryptocurrency.

when your choice is between bitcoin and the current existing altcoins, then the choice is not hard at all and everyone knows the answer to that question. that is why bitcoin is ahead of everything else. that is why everyone dumps altcoins as soon as they see bitcoin price movement...It's hard to tell. i seriously doubt that.
Honestly crypto have a great future two to four years from now because all we know that we have a very progressive technology that can make all possible so even the innovation of our currency will have a big possibility of innovation. And I think bitcoin will lead the changes because all we know that bitcoin is the most popular and most progressive coin.
Cryptocurrency is really an innovation for the use of money or transacting money. By the helpof cryptocurrencies, we can do transactions without leaving from our place. Investment can be done individually, we just hold our coins and wait for its boom. But we can't tell if those coins will be the future coins because the government will not tolerate the use of such technology because they can't regulate the use of that technology wisely. Maybe it can be an alternative way of usung money but not the main way for using money because it we will still use fiats as money.
Bitcoin has a good future, because Bitcoin is a new financial and payment technology in this world. Bitcoin is a modern technology that emerged and developed in the era that is also increasingly modern and all digital. Even though at present, many countries oppose Bitcoin, but in the end they will accept Bitcoin, otherwise they will miss the new technology in payments that are developing later. The future of cryptocurrency is bright that we can see people using it in the future but there is only one coin which i know we will all be using and that is bitcoin. It will become effective for five years i guess then some altcoin will get along with it. Ethereum will be a great help.

Not all of us can afford a safe and banks aren't as safe as we thought them to be. Most of us can afford a hardware wallet and all of us have mobile phones capable of running a crypto wallet. This is the real value and this is the future! You don't have to produce physical goods to add value to the economy.
I agree with your opinion. I also think that we are waiting for is the future. But it will take a long time for this to happen. It will not be easy for people to get used to the new method of payment and therefore it will be slow and take a lot of time.
Sincerely I don't know what the future holds for cryptocurrency but I am optimistic that the future will be bright and there will be more adoption of cryptocurrency in the world probably some years from now. I am positive as regards the future of cryptocurrency and I wish for a better future of crypto.
If I look at the tightening of governments on cryptocurrency by imposing tight regulations, taxations etc., I already suspect that these things will kill cryptocurrency in the future, but its too good to lose hope so I still hope crypto will survive and users will also fight and hold on. 
Blockchain is being integrated everywhere. It's been developed as a hack proof system as it's decentralized and the hacker needs to control more than 50% of nodes to relay a message. That's why it's being used in IOT, for self driving cars and for financial activities that needs auditing. Crypto would soon be all over our lives.
And with that being said, I believe bitcoin will still dominate the crypto adoption. And with the introduction of Libra coin in the community among FB users, eventually this will create more bitcoin adoption as they will learn the benefits of a decentralized nature of bitcoin as compared to Libra's centralized one. And since blockchain technology is being integrated in all facets of our lives, no doubt a big percentage of humanity will be using crypto at one point in their lives.
