If you're not a patient person, then you should avoid both things. Investment is a way to earn money which we have to wait for long time. Gambling sometimes could be a shortcut way to get money, but a not patient people wont win there. If you are a patient person, then I think gambling is better. In my opinion, investment is a good way, but we need big capitals to get nice profit.

Some people try to equate gambling with not very trustworthy investments. But it is not the same.

Investing supposes that the business would do the best for making profit, and trusts the word of the owner (along with some other considerations i.e: is that profit possible, trajectory, etc.) that it is not a scam.

Gambling knows right from the start that the gambling site gets its profit from the gamblers losing money. It is just that some people hope that the losers will be others, and not themselves.

So investing has hope in that everyone wins his part, but gambling has hope that I will profit while others lose.

Not the same by any means.

Well, everything has it own risk but if you want to grow your coins i recommend you to invest. But, take a note that internet "investments" nowadays is full of scam, ponzis, and shits you really have to research on the legit investment so that your coins can grow not blown away by someone.

Don't even consider gambling.

GAMBLE OR INVEST?... sounds like "do I want more or less BTC than I currently have?".

Some say gambling is fun, I tend to disagree. I've posted this before, gambling creates addiction which people often confuse it with fun. People gamble to win, not to have fun. Just think how popular dice gambling is among BTC gamblers, and I absolutely fail to see the "fun" side of dice. It's addictive, it gives you the illusion of magical winning formula, well, everything but fun.

Investing in the right thing at the right time can be indeed rewarding. But some would argue that investing itself is gambling... oh, I'll let you guys debate this further more!

Well this should be self explanatory, no? Why would you ever gamble for God's sake? If anyghing was possible by gambling, people would find ways in the last 100 years on making money, it's simple as that.

That leaves you with investing, but investing in what is a right question. I sgill haven't found anything worth of investing in the crypto ecosystem. Everything is full of scams and short lived pump and dumps.

Well this should be self explanatory, no?
If you don't believe anyone can make a profit by gambling, then invest in the house maybe? There are still a few decent sites that would offer such option.

So here comes my advice, don't do either. Leave your bitcoins in cold storage and wait for the mass adoption. This just might be your best investment.

And how will ever the mass adoption happen if everyone keeps their BTC in cold storages?

Well neither will mass adoption happen if you piss away your bitcoins on online gambling!!

I meant stick them in a cold storage instead of gambling and investing in shady businesses. Of course, all of the bitcoiners should have obligation to spend bitcoins daily to boost the usage and make number of transactions go up. This should everyone do!

Investment is considered safe but not all investments. BTC investments are not safe at all because you're trusting someone you don't know at all with just a site and a name and they can run away pretty easily with all your investment funds. There aren't any legit investment options with BTC but you can lend here on the forum with proper collateral but again it has it's own risks. For me I prefer gambling, I wouldn't recommend it to anybody but I don't have the patience to invest in something and they just wait for it to gain some profit, it's boring, I'd rather gamble and take my chance.

If you want to invest, then invest in an idea, think of something a business , a website that can bring good returns and invest your money and effort into making it success.

to all of you guys.. what do you think is better? is it to invest or to gamble in sites? tell me your point of view and why.

Depends on what you want to achieve.
If you want to have fun and spend some time, then obviously gamble.
If you want to try (yes, try, because there's still a risk like in any investment) to earn some money, then obviously invest.

I like to gamble from time to time but it can quickly turn from fun to a drama.
I'd invest, although there's a lot of uncertainty in the crypto world right now.

If it turns into drama, then you don't afford to lose the money you gamble and you should stop gambling.
And if you don't afford to lose money, then you should also not invest, because an investment means some risk too.

Investing can still be gambling, but obviously one hopes that you are being prudent and doing research, stacking the odds more in favor. Obviously I believe in investing.

Neither.

Investing in this space is just as shit as gambling because you're just giving money to anonymous scum and hoping they don't rape you.

That's the trick. You need to estimate the risk of getting raped, confront it with possible gains and decide whether it's worth it or not.
There is no such thing as risk-free investment.

Gambling is fucking dumb and I find it astounding that it's often offered here as a legit way of increasing your coins. In how many investment forums do you read - 'hey, I'm looking to increase my returns on my dollars' and the answer is 'gamble it, dude.'

You won't see it in investment forums, as gambling is not considered an investment. And gambling is a legit way of increasing your coins (unless illegal in your jurisdiction), just not particularly the smart one.
