The worse after effect of gambling is when you are already engage too deep, like what you said more on luck but the sad thing is when you are unlucky you keep trying and hoping that luck will come up and bring you the money that you desire to earned, and again, after you achieved that, your desire to win more will dominates you, greed will start to take over and the outcome may lead you into addictions.
The most important and most difficult issue is that stopping and not gambling often seems very difficult for anyone, even, I think, for the average player.  It is not easy for any player to stop playing abruptly, because all the same, this player is constantly and constantly drawn to play and try again and again to win back his loss.  But the probability of this is certainly less than the probability of gradually losing more and more.  So the moment will surely come when the player will still have to decide - to stop and stop playing or continue to play and get already serious problems in the form of addiction, family budget disruption, scandals with his wife and relatives, and so on.
Unfortunately, this is the path of a very large number of gamblers.

Breaking the routine is sometimes necessary, and if gambling has become part of your routine, it's important for you to take a break. Start by taking a day off, and then gradually increase the gap between gambling sessions. If you've been gambling every day, skipping it for even one day can be challenging and require a lot of willpower. Therefore, it's a good idea to start taking care of your body, such as by going to the gym or learning yoga. This can become a positive addiction with many benefits. This is just a suggestion and sometimes people are able to take a gap without doing other activities to break the routine.

What is important in this situation is your willingness to take that hardship and seriously taking care of it no matter what, your opinion is valid, if you can surpass that one day without gambling then it's also possible to increase to a week then extend it to a month just to prevent yourself to any form of gambling, I like that idea of bringing yourself to a gym or to a yoga sessions, it will help you to keep being busy and not to think of anything about gambling.

If you are really willing to quit away, there's always a way, but if your willingness is not true for sure, you will always find a good reason why
you keep coming back.

If a gambler wants to quit gambling, he or she will have to put in a lot of effort. It takes discipline, willpower and determination to do this.
Gamblers who quit gambling may return to it again. Therefore, you need to work on yourself, on your emotions, on your thinking. This is a very difficult and long process.

I still hard to believe if a gambling addict will stop and realized if they was wrong with their gambling habit, because there are many gambling addict get forced by their parents to not gamble and get kicked from their company, but it doesn't make them to stop gambling.

There's nothing wrong about this thread, but if you hope you can help an addict by creating this thread, you shouldn't hope to high.
Theirs one my thread I made i stated it that gambling addict is like someone who some virus is running through the blood vessels, and you very well that anyone a virus touched the blood it will be very difficult before the virus will be flushed out of the blood, the way I'm seeing addicted gambler I don't think that someone can stop a gambling addicted person not to pertake in gambling, the only thing I said before now is that you can move the person to a place it can not see opportunity to gamble.
When addicted to gambling, it works in a way that seems to mix with the blood.  Just as blood cannot be removed from the body, it is difficult for them to give up gambling. That is why gambling has to be controlled from the beginning so that it cannot control our-self. Management of animals is very difficult so we have to be careful in all directions otherwise we can't get into a good position. And we have to take responsibility for our own losses
I disagree with your analogy bud, gambling addiction has nothing to do with the human blood, else, a gambler will easily get addicted as long as the love and continue to gamble for a very long time, I personally love it and I have been gambling for so many years now, and here am I, I am not an addict, in-fact, I can go a week, a month without gambling if I so desire, and i wont feel any urge to gamble until I decide to gamble again.

what I am trying to explain to you is that gambling addiction is a formed habit, a formed habit has nothing to do with the blood, it is commonly said that what ever has a beginning must surely have an end, the same the same way a gambling addiction habit is formed in the human brain, it can also be dissolved if the victim work put in the effort required to get the habit dissolved.

It is absolutely certain that the best solution to such a problem for such a player would be a complete refusal to further participate in any gambling.  However, far from all people can do this, especially if problems have already begun in the family due to too much loss and due to the fact that the player began to use the family budget money necessary for the normal life of all family members, children, of course, first of all  .  If such a player could not stop playing before such gambling costs, then it will be very difficult to recover further.  Because such an addiction is definitely already a disease, and without a doctor and medicines, most likely he will not be able to recover without outside help.
However, the player must be able to stop even if he finds it difficult because it is for his own good and that of his family. He can't use the budget for his family because it can disrupt his family's finances. Maybe he can talk to family members so they can help him overcome his gambling addiction problem while accompanying him to go to a therapist. But this requires openness from the person to tell the truth about what happened to him. But the average person addicted to gambling will not tell others that he is addicted to gambling.

~snip~
I would say that in the case of such results in the game of such a professional, you should not just take some kind of regular vacation for two weeks or a month.  You need to take a much longer break from gambling.  Well, like half a year.  For half a year without gambling in a person’s life, a lot will change in any case, and a return to such professional activity will be more favorable and effective in terms of winnings, for the reason that during the specified period he will not completely forget his skills and abilities as a professional player and easily  will restore them.  But a long break will really "clean his brains" more effectively.
True, he needed a longer vacation than usual because he had been gambling for too long, and maybe he could enjoy his moments of rest with the long vacation. But it's even better if he can get the winnings from gambling so he doesn't have to think about the expenses for his vacation. And after sufficient rest, he can return to gambling and resume his activities. But it's better for him not to gamble anymore and to start his life by creating new activities that are not related to gambling. It would make him leave gambling for good.

~snip~
This is too excessive and we need to make sure that we keep working on ourselves anytime we noticed that we are spending too much time gambling. Gamblers are nit meant to be addictive to gambling, we need to have a sense of understand and moderate way of gambling unless we might keep making the same mistake over and over again. We need to be responsible as a gambler so that those that are learning from us will be moderate in the way they gamble. There is spirit behind gambling and if we are not careful enough, we might become an irresponsible gambler that we don't ought to be.
At least, we have to prevent ourselves from getting addicted like that player so that we can still play gambling as usual and don't have to worry if we get addicted. It does take time to reduce gambling addiction, but every gambler deserves it and needs to learn to be a responsible gambler when playing gambling. And because gambling has temptations that can draw the gambler deeper and deeper, that is why by having a responsibility, we can prevent those temptations from affecting us.

~snip~
What you say it is true, there are many aspiring poker players which want to make a living out of it, and while it is possible they do not realize how hard it is, on most jobs even if they can be quite intense you still have some moments of relaxation here and there.

But poker is not like that, you need to keep your concentration for tens of hours each day, every day, without rest, and a single moment of doubt can be enough to produce high losses, in fact I would say this is probably the biggest hurdle for aspiring poker players, as remaining concentrated for so long is not an easy feat at all.
As long as they can have a responsibility while playing gambling and have the ability to control their emotions, they can just try it. But they must know that it is not easy because of the temptation of gambling that can make them keep coming back to gambling.

And it is true that in playing any gambling, we must rest after playing gambling for a while. That is to reduce tension during gambling and prevent loss of responsibility during gambling later. And it's better to play gambling in moderation so that we don't experience anything bad after we finish gambling.

Even professional players need help. A short story that I saw just yesterday.

There is only one poker blogger that I rarely watch. He has 3 children and leads a healthy lifestyle, which attracts me. So he decided to arrange a marathon to earn a certain amount in 20 days. Yesterday he started the last days of the marathon and was closer than ever to the goal to win it, but after spending 11 hours on the stream, he lost everything he had won before in this marathon and went into the red. Even though he has 15 years of professional poker experience. Now he wrote that he needed the help of a psychologist because he could not cope with this. This shows how difficult it is even for professionals with great experience.
Anyone will need help, even a professional. Spending 11 hours playing poker must be so tiring he needs a break, even if it's just for a little while. He was risking too much by spending 11 hours even though he was close to his goal, but it was not worth it. And finally, he needed the help of a psychologist to cure him. This proves that, after all, we must take full responsibility for ourselves, especially in playing gambling, where we can continue to be tempted to play. And you give a real example of how someone is tempted to achieve the target he wants in gambling.

You cannot reduce an addiction but you can control the addiction behavior. That would take a lot of willpower and control of the mind to be able to achieve the desired result. I have seen many fellow gamblers who were able to control their addiction, it did not come in a day as it takes some time. It would require an addicted guy to consult with a professional or a group to help an addict control his behavior.

Addiction can be totally stopped in some situations, but it depends on the decision of the person involved. You know that there are some people who get addicted to something, but they themselves don't even realise it, and if another person tries to caution them, they will begin to get angry. But there are also some people who, even when they are doing something wrong, still have that sense of understanding that what they are doing is actually bad. Those kinds of people are likely to change if their cases are well handled, but it can be very hard to change someone who doesn't even accept their addiction behaviours. Those are the kind of people who need a professional mentalist to handle them, but for the other group, they can still take advice from their loved ones, and if the advice is persistent, then they might easily change.

Yesterday I watched a video about a guy addicted to gambling telling his story about how he got rid of addiction. As often happens in such interviews, he decided to hide his face behind a mask and change his voice.
So he shared that almost never a dependent person will go to the clinic himself. The problem is always first recognized by their loved ones and sent to the dependent for treatment. And often the addict himself does not recognize the habit of playing for a long time, he pretends that he realized, but only about the third time when he is sent to the clinic, the dependent person begins to understand that he must accept the fact that his addiction is already controlling him.

Whenever a person has family by their side, friends, it is a blessing, but there are people who have no family and few friends, sometimes these things when it comes to friends can help a lot, but there are people who are very lonely, no I know if a lonely person realizes his addiction, maybe yes and I look for a quick solution, for the very reason that he is alone because he does not want to have a bad time and that is why if necessary he seeks professional help although I imagine that it is the first period of the addicted player is in Non-Acceptance, although it is something very common and that is understandable, any player likes to look good and not with a problem thanks to the casino or sports betting.

One sad truth is that there are too many irresponsible gamblers that are coming to that moment of taking loans because they can't contain the excitement that they want to gamble. And, when they've lost a lot and there's no money anymore they're trying to chase losses through selling their properties and other assets.

It's an emotional battle that's hard to overcome when the affected person is no longer controllable. No one stops anyone from gambling but please don't be too much that you're harming yourself and also affecting others especially your immediate family.

There are no other people that's going to help you at first but them.
Undoubtedly, support and communication on these topics from loved ones is one of the best medicines. The other side is that in most cases gambling addicts do not tell anyone about it because they are ashamed.

Close relatives will find out only after the gambler loses a lot. And even after that, he can be silent. Even I, who am well acquainted with such problems, can not immediately see it in a person. What to say about those who do not even know about such problems, for example, parents who are already in old age. I want to urge everyone to be attentive to their friends and relatives, perhaps you will save them at the right time.
That's because addicted gamblers exhibit symptoms and patterns of behavior that is similar to someone who is suffering from Depression. The seclusion, the lack of motivation to do anything besides what they are most acquainted, which in this case is gambling. They feel ashamed of what they do which is also a definitive reason of why they keep to themselves as what you said. The thing is, and this is true for most of the cases where people who are addicted to gambling is involved, intervention is needed like 90% of the time. You can't just ask and addicted gambler if there's something wrong cause they'd lie about it, so actually taking the initiative and giving them the help they need even if they say "they didn't want it" is going to be helpful and pivotal to their recovery.

It is not all winning streaks that leads to defeats but it has been proven that many winning streaks leads to losses. So it is advisable to always stop playing when you have won consecutively. But if I were to advice, I will say that when you are on a winning streak, you should rather set out a budget from your win to continue playing. When that budget is exhausted, you will stop playing, that is the best to do. If you continue playing, it is certain that you cannot continue winning.
But usually, after getting successive wins, we can experience successive losses, especially if we really want to get another win where it won't be as easy as we imagine. Many have had successive losses after winning, and if you are experiencing winning streaks, you should immediately stop and leave the casino. And when your budget is running low, it's better to stop immediately and don't even think about spending it hoping you can win at the last minute because that can't always happen.

[/quote]
I know that in gambling it is not possible to always been winning and win again after a successive win.

There must be a point you will get to and you start losing and that is so much natural. Even in Bitcoin some people will think that the price of Bitcoin will keep going up but at a point after going up for some certain time, it will start coming down.

So when someone is hitting nice streaks, it is advisable to pause and have a rethink before continuing to play with a very limited budget.
But then I feel that some experts have a better way to escape this speculative scenario

I agree that it is possible to stop it in an instant but I believe there could be a heavy reason why that gambler instantly stop doing gambling. Like myself, my addiction didn't stopped instantly as I've face so much struggle like withdrawals when I try to stop instantly. In my case, it takes some time before I manage to fully control myself and stop doing gambling whenever I want. We have different scenarios and situation, it depends on the gambler on how they will value things that are important to them and if they are willing to change and remove their addiction.

Yes, no one is exempted when in terms to this kind of situation, that kind of gambling participation risk a lot not just the money but more on the health of the person, and we know he's not the only one who's leaning to him, he got his family and those children will be affected if he's not going to have that self-will to cure and to bring the balance back in him.

Hopefully with that statement, seeking for professionals will help him but that self-will is the one that he needs to really move him away from this problem with him.
He should have known he had a family to support so he wouldn't have taken such a risk. That is the same as taking risks beyond what he can afford so that he falls into the trap of gambling even though he is a professional who should have better abilities than other people. And if he really regrets it, he should really find a therapist who can help him get out of his gambling problem and not gamble for the rest of his life might be a good solution for him.

The break is really needed. At least in order to disperse the flow of blood to the brain and other reasons. Apparently he was simply absorbed by the excitement of this marathon. It's safe to say that he failed. But what was my surprise when he announced a new marathon today, and he set the conditions there that he would easily complete the last one. This is to make him feel confident again when he does it. And this will heal his moral wounds from the last marathon.

For those who are interested. The graph of how he went well and then fell into the abyss in 1 day: Before and After
And it turns out that a gambling professional can also experience something as bad as that, which turns him into a gambling addict. This was really worrying for her, so she had to quickly seek help from the people around her, to help her out.

He forgot about rest, which everyone needed, not just those who gambled a lot. After all, resting would lower his emotions, especially since he had been gambling for so many hours that his emotions could peak at any time. If he could rest, maybe he wouldn't experience what he said, and he could still gamble with better self-control.

Every one of us here have different experience  involving addiction in anything in life and yes once you are in the addict mode you can not say that you can leave that thing easily and also once you want to quit then there's a process about it you should fight your mind and greediness before you can fully achieve your goal in life that you want to quit gambling or quitting in your addiction.
