Everything boils down to emotion and greed some people do not know how to control their emotion and they don't also know how to control their greed. When they are in for it, there is absolutely nothing you can say unless they exhaust all the money on them before they will listen to you.

There is nothing wrong with gambling if it is done like a fun and not when the gambler uses all he has to do bet a particular game and which eventually when the outcome does not favour the gambler he will loose everything and plunge into emotional damage.
When someone is on that state they will not hear a word of what you are saying, they are so focused on their goal of trying to make money when they gamble that any comment which has to do with how this is a bad idea will get immediately ignored.

And what is even worse is that once they are out of that state they are not going to remember either that you tried to stop them from this behavior, and they may even recriminate you about not doing what you could to stop them, and when I have being on the receiving end of those recriminations I simply leave as there is no point on talking with someone that is not being rational at all.

Emotions are very difficult to handle when you are in a middle of rage and sadness together as this is what produces when you lose money on gambling, this is more emphasized on games where you keep playing continuously and where you see the result instantly thus accumulating lost amounts. In such situations no matter what we try to tell them they will ignore us,even me personally if I was in such position I would ignore anyone talking to me because of this rage that heats a person up.The moment where should we talk to them is after a certain little time that they have quit their session, this I have seen to work out for me as I am more lucid and clear and I understand better what is being talked to me.
Oh wow, you really got to me there. Have experienced that! Taking a chance is like drinking a glass of poison, no doubt about it. But as the old adage goes, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger"! As for guidance, nobody beats a veteran in the field. Get up from the table and stretch your legs, buddy. Feeling angry is your brain telling you to give up and get away. If this were a poker game, you'd fold, right? Therefore, why not in real life? Get familiar with the regulations before you jump in. And, you know, if things become heated, just change the game!

For those venturing into the high-risk realm of investing, or what some may call gambling, emotion, and greed are like the two horses of the Apocalypse. People seem to lose their minds when they go in headfirst, their vision clouded by thoughts of money.

Like a friendly game of poker with coworkers on a Friday night, betting should be enjoyable regardless of the outcome. In a word, that makes me happy. It's no longer a game but rather a time bomb the moment people start risking their life money. The repercussions can be disastrous, both psychologically and monetarily.

Who am I, though, to dictate how others spend their hard-earned cash? They get to decide in the end. A little bit of caution is never a bad thing, though, you know?
But sadly we can take gambling as an investment because gambling outcome cant is predicted and for that gambling does not belong to an investment class, I agree with you on the part that you mentioned risk indeed gambling is a high-risk activity and unlike investment where you may lose profits but not capital but in gambling when you lose, you part away with both your stake amount and the profits.
This is the reason one needs to take full responsibility while gambling and only gamble with an amount you can part way with that will not affect you both financially or otherwise.
Talking about risks, everything has risks and we live in this moment also have risks, it's just that these risks are different.
Gambling is not an investment whatsoever or making money or profit it is like a very impossible story to me if there is someone who is able to make money from gambling it is a lie.
Because I understand that gambling is a place to find entertainment as well as to try your luck, you don't need to keep trying it, and only a few times a month.
Self-control is very important here because someone who is responsible for their gambling will also be affected when feeling upset or emotional.

Yeah, greediness is the number one killer when we are talking about money, and the first thing that you need when you are into gambling is money, having the right mindset and having the right balance and control with your emotions will always keep you away from any possible greed, if you can continually control yourself from making the right decision in each gambling sessions that you take, it will help you to continue enjoying and limiting the amount of money that you may lose when you exceed from your sets limitations.

At the same time, like any average player, I like to additionally play with bonus money. I love the feeling that the casino allocated funds to me, and I didn't pay anything for it. I don't know how much such promotions make us get involved in the casino, but one thing is clear that the emotions are great: to play for money that is not really yours, because you haven't invested anything. But in such a game I once won $ 350 by betting on the correct number! the bid was, if I'm not mistaken, $10. And it would seem that I should start playing further, motivated by such a win. But in fact, I never visited that casino's website again.

Precisely, it's always going to end with both emotions and how you control your own self while playing. If you fail to control your greediness, then what do you expect? The chance of losing money or worse, losing all your money, including all those you saved, can be withdrawn and deposit to the gambling site if you are already out of control with your gambling addiction.

Like what you mentioned, there's no problem with gambling. It's you and your own will that will bring you to the problem that might be the side effect of your gambling habits.

With good control and a good of sets of limitation, you can always be in the upper hands in terms of controlling both your time and the money that you are willing to spend.

I have always seen greed as part of emotion, that is a type of emotion, I don't really know or understand how and if emotion and greed are two separate human characteristics, but I've always considered being greedy, as a type of emotion rather than see them separately..

Anyways, you are right about some gamblers who never listen until they've emptied their pulse, it is something that is normal mostly for gambling addicts, I have a friend like that, I always make reference of him in most of my post on this board, he's an addict and never listens, and I also have stopped advising him, when we meet such gamblers, it is better to sometimes leave them, what ever mistake they make is to their own peril, they will learn the hard way when the time is right for them to Learn.

Haha, addiction to gambling is lot a curse my friend, it's just a gambling disorder, lucky ones still find a way around their addictions before it turns chronic, while the unlucky ones, well, like you said, keep gambling even after they've gone bankrupt, they can go hungry the whole day provided they find some money to satisfy their gambling urge.
I know someone who made hundreds of thousands of dollars from gambling. But he got so addicted to gambling that he lost that money by gambling, he even sold his favorite bike and gambled with that money and lost. In fact, we have a lot to learn after seeing this kind of real experience, that we have to be emotionally strong in every place so that we don't have to put ourselves in bad situations due to our wrong decisions.
Many gamblers have committed same mistake and in most of the cases its not actually because they lack control over their habits, I like to think that greediness and not being content also plays a major contributory factor for this gambler to have actually gone A-wire and lost control to the extent of even selling his motor bike and other stuffs.
Well, It is actually lack of control over ones habit that give room for greediness, which is also directly or indirectly the same thing as not being content, to thrive..
Think about it, one who has control over himself will know when to draw the limit, and also will not allow greed to take the better part of their self, so being greedy, also not contented all boils down to lack of self control.
I implore people to carefully study themselves and the limit at which they could take before doing anything. This thing they call adulthood is tasking, which is why the government makes sure that everyone above the age of 18 years is free to do whatever such want with approval. Ans if one reaches that age without knowing their weakness and strength and how to control and exercise limits, they should be blamed. We are responsible for our actions as an adult, it takes discipline, careful calculation and planning for one to gamble responsibly. And if you are out of control, it's advisable to take a break for some weeks, this helps to take a deep breath and gives more strength to control any gambling addiction.

Yeah, it's an important thing for the people to understand their limits, and they wont cross their limits at any cost. However, if someone is not able to understand their limits and continue to follow the path of greed then he/she is surely going to see huge losses.

If gambling is done without any rules or control over one's emotions then the users can face huge losses without any doubt. It's always our own responsibility to have control over our emotions during gambling, and if we aren't well disciplined then chances are that we will see huge losses.

I agree with you in many words, but I am still sure that constant games can cause addiction. For example, a person will play on the first weekend, then on the second, then again, and it turns out that he will already be constantly thinking on weekdays about how to relax on weekends. Therefore, it is better not only to limit yourself in the deposit, which is very useful, but also not to make the games permanent. We need to look for other sources of entertainment, and make sure that they can fully replace gambling.
This is the only way of self-control. Tough and hard.
And let it be hard, but no one can control us as much as we do. And the ability to control yourself is very important both in gambling and in any games.
We need to always make efforts to demonstrate ourselves that we are in control even if we do not feel we are showing any signs of addiction, for example sometimes I just decide randomly to stop gambling for at least a month, and I do this because a person that really had problems controlling their gambling will never be able to do something like this, so once I spend a month or even a longer period of time without gambling I have demonstrated myself that I have no problems and I can keep gambling as usual.

It's good to take that challenge to you, as if you can really push it then you can assure to yourself that you are still in control, if you can do it from time to time and still manage to keep on what's the goal. What is important here is you know what to do and you know how to control your own self.

With such a good limitation, you can continue playing back, enjoying or aiming for something decent out of your gambling activities.

As long as you can quit the moment you decide it, then you are good to go and maybe you are still far from any possible addictions.
This mindset must we have as we all know that in the world of gambling we ourselves are the only instrument of our mind  and if we can control our self then we are safe from addiction because we decide what's wrong and what's right. And if we don't have our self control and greediness can take over us then a lot of consequences we will face because once we don't have our self control then we bet spontaneously with greediness.

Overconfident often influences gamblers to be more aggressive. As a result, the gambler makes one wrong decision after another and loses control over himself. Many times the profitable gambler ends his journey at a loss, because overconfidence sets in when he wins every game, which starts his downfall due to over-betting. When he loses, he tries to recover the losses by gambling with more money, for which he does not hesitate to sell his favorite things.

You are very correct, greediness is not an emotion that should be found in a gambler, as the result of it is not always good, and does not benefit the gambler at all, there are other parts where greediness does benefit the bearer, like in the area of investment, it is commonly said that, "we should get greedy when other investors are fearful, and become fearful when other investors get greedy", this is some thing I've practiced one or two times and it helped me earn a nice profit...

But then, when it comes to gambling, we should completely do away with greed, as it will bring no benefit to the gambler, other than losses and more losses, and maybe an addiction will follow, if the gambler is not yet addicted.

A gambler is a person who gambles regardless of whether money is involved in his gambling or not. Without money and greediness, the excitement dries down and the gambler won't be interested in his gambling habit anymore. Greediness is what drives the gambler to take a risk and without it, he will never be able to make a profit. What he needs is discipline in his gambling habit as it stops him to become a gambling addict. You cannot ignore your loss! You can only wait for another time to gain your loss. That also depends on the ability of a gambler who has a stable mindset and a goal to achieve.
In essence, everyone, especially those in the gambling zone, will mostly have a high sense of greed, therefore one of the strongest reasons why they are still here is because psychological factors and greed always dominate in every gambling. Greed keeps them alive with the lure of victory and a victory drives them to stay here. I don't think everyone will have a strategy in gambling, but only certain limitations which are sometimes difficult for them to do. That's right, it's not that easy for someone to be able to let go and let go of their losses, this is also one of the reasons why they can survive gambling and many of them then experience periods of addiction. My point is most of them will do it again, hoping to be able to make up for their previous losses.

We need to look for other sources of entertainment, and make sure that they can fully replace gambling.
This is the only way of self-control. Tough and hard.
And let it be hard, but no one can control us as much as we do. And the ability to control yourself is very important both in gambling and in any games.
It could happen to him, but it's all about how he can treat gambling because if he knows that gambling is just for fun, he won't overdo it and can keep his limits. I agree that we need to find other sources of entertainment so we don't depend on gambling, and the important thing is that our minds can be distracted from doing other things. This also helps us to be able to reduce the time we gamble, and maybe it can also prevent us from gambling addiction problems that can come at any time. It will be our responsibility to be responsible for what we do so that if it is gambling, we can prevent ourselves from gambling addiction.
