On the time that addiction is already that severe then you would definitely be having that kind of behavior on which you cant really be able to resist on playing gambling even more.Each person does have their own

tolerance and control towards things on which there are some who are really that strong will and discipline towards themselves on which on the time that they would really mean that they would stop theyll stop.
Unlike into those people who are really just not taking things seriously on which they do say that theyll stop but eventually be ending up on playing once again because they cant really just resist
and for sure those voices in their minds which would pushing them to play even more. As long you do have funds then you would completely  be trying out to play once again no matter what.

Being responsible isnt only really that limited on gambling but also in other things in life as well.If you wouldnt really be thinking up clearly then you would surely struggle.

I disagree, gamblers who is well versed about the effect of gambling can think of ways how to minimized the negative effect of gambling.  Since they are knowledgeable about the possible effect of gambling, they can then device a plan to minimize their losses.  Besides, gamblers who knows gambling very much knows the pros and cons of letting gambling dictates its phase so more or less this gambler will moderate his activity in order for him to avoid unnecessary losses and at the same time shut the door to gambling addiction.

It's true in gamblers mindset they're not caring about the money what they are thinking is to place a bet and no matter what will happen they will keep doing it, and repeatedly keep betting their money, on that note, where you mentioned about sports betting, you are right both illegal and legal way of betting, gamblers will support the team that they think will going to win, placing their money in hope that they will be able to make some decent earnings out from the bets that they've made.

All forms of addiction include more than just the time and money spent. Even if someone who gambles every day only loses a modest amount, the obsessive, regular character of their conduct is cause for concern. If they choose to quit, could they? That should be answered immediately.

However, the once-weekly high roller who loses a day's salary might not be an addict despite the devastating effects on his or her finances. It's possible they're looking for excitement. Or someone going through a brief period of emotional turmoil? In this case, the degree of monetary loss may not be a reliable indicator of addiction.

The essential questions are not "how often" or "how much," but rather "why" and "how." Why does this person gamble, and how do they plan to deal with the repercussions of their actions? Can they get away when they need to, and is it having a detrimental impact on their life?

On the time that you do gamble then dont expect something to be assured or guaranteed because everything would really be depending on your luck into that particular sessions.If you do keep on chasing whether you

I agree with you, someone who gambles daily doesn't need to be an addict. Same goes for someone who gambles only one time a week, he doesn't have to be an addict but can be one depending on his habits. We need to look more closely at the time spent at the casino and how much of his money he his betting. If you gamble every day for 15 minutes for 2-3 dollars, than I wouldn't call you an addict. Losing a few bucks won't change much for you and you seem to be on control over your bankroll. And someone who gambles only one time per week for several hours and loses all his monthly salary in a single day should be called an addict in my opinion. Another factor to determine if we are addicted to gambling should be if we can take a break from it without thinking about it constantly. There are more aspects to an addiction than how often we are at the casino. In sports betting it's true that we have times of big tournaments, where we have big games almost every day and then we have summer breaks where are no games for several weeks. It's more interesting how well you are doing during these break periods and if you will switch to some new sports you never followed before only to place some bets. There are detailed tests for gambling addictions and it shouldn't come down to how many times you visit a casino per week.

Well, I think no one wants to be in such situation. However, because you let yourself so hooked in gambling and forgot to set limitation, obviously no one is to blame but yourself. It will not happen if from the start, we discipline ourselves. Thus we'll only realize the mistakes we did after the reality hits us hard by facing the consequences of becoming addicted.

It's been said many times to only gamble in moderation. If we can follow this, then we can enjoy playing without worries since you can control yourself.

And even going bankrupt may not stop some people to keep gambling, after all someone that has reached that level of addiction will not be above doing all kind of things to keep their addiction going, and this includes committing crimes so they can get the money necessary to keep betting.

Which is why when those people get caught and they finally realize what they have done, they have problems dealing with the guilt they feel, as they cannot believe they stoop so low just to obtain some money.

Haha, addiction to gambling is lot a curse my friend, it's just a gambling disorder, lucky ones still find a way around their addictions before it turns chronic, while the unlucky ones, well, like you said, keep gambling even after they've gone bankrupt, they can go hungry the whole day provided they find some money to satisfy their gambling urge.

Anyways, you are right about card games, I mean I myself have never  even had the thought of playing a card game offline, reason being that I don't trust the system to be really fair, I enjoy card games face to face with my opponent, atleast this way, if I don't win, I know for sure it's because he or she really played better than me.

Gamblers play more card games offline, and they lose the most money in this game. You will find these gamblers in every country, many countries have strict gambling laws so they play secretly. Sports betting is more popular offline in my country, and gamblers lose huge amounts of money in sports betting. Because overconfidence in sports betting emotionally influences the gambler more to take large amount of bets. So if someone becomes addicted to gambling, he cannot quit this addiction until he becomes bankrupt.

Yeah, mostly in poker or specifically any card games that can bring this situation. I am not sure about online gambling because there is no way we can tell if someone has gotten hurt to that extent but I have seen this happening physically. People just casually get started with the card games on the table and they play for the real money. Most of the time they will lose a lot of money and as we know there is only one winner they would go nuts and even start a fight with each other. Seen this in my country with drunk peeps! You won't believe how horrible the situation gets over the period time when same group of addicts meet each other and start gambling their money.

This might be the case with online gambling sites too but there is no way to tell if someone is throwing away their laptop after losing the bets etc. Lolz. But yeah, it should be taken way carefully. There is no coming back if we get addicted to it.

And even today, we still have so many gamblers who lie to themselves that they are gambling just for fun meanwhile deep down in them, they know they are after the money,  , they do this probably to themselves feel alright so as not to think too much of the money they lost..
It's not actually a bad thing though, as long as the gambler does his or her gambling responsibly,
I myself for example, many a time try to convince myself that I am gambling for fun, meanwhile, deep down in me, I know I want to win some money, big money is possible  , but then, I first try to make myself believe that I am gambling for fun, just incase I don't end up winning, I won't feel too bad about the loss.

Very true. Gambling everyone starts as fun and when someone plays gambling they get attracted to it and at some point the gambler becomes addicted to gambling. I have seen many gamblers who started gambling only for fun and now become completely addicted to gambling, and have sold many of their assets at a loss and lost the money in gambling. So once a person becomes addicted to gambling it is very difficult to get rid of this addiction.

The gambling business is indeed a profitable business for casino owners. But gamblers always hope they can make money from gambling, which attracts many people to try it, especially when they see many people who have managed to win a lot of money from gambling. They can gamble as long as they can be responsible for themselves and not lose self-control but the reality is that many people lose control of themselves and even lose a lot of money in gambling. And the more sophisticated the casino's technology will implement, the more gamblers will be interested in trying it. And if they can't be responsible, they can lose more money than win the gambling game.
