Gamblers used to gambling will not think about bankruptcy or other problems because they only think about getting wins from gambling. They think they can win by gambling, so that makes them continue to play gambling even when it comes to spending their money. Sports betting is betting that can be commonly available in many countries, both illegal and legal, because people love to watch sports matches, especially when their favorite team is performing. And that is why if there is a match between their favorite team and the opposing team and the opposing team looks weaker, they will immediately place their bet, hoping they can win.

I agree with you, someone who gambles daily doesn't need to be an addict. Same goes for someone who gambles only one time a week, he doesn't have to be an addict but can be one depending on his habits. We need to look more closely at the time spent at the casino and how much of his money he his betting. If you gamble every day for 15 minutes for 2-3 dollars, than I wouldn't call you an addict. Losing a few bucks won't change much for you and you seem to be on control over your bankroll. And someone who gambles only one time per week for several hours and loses all his monthly salary in a single day should be called an addict in my opinion. Another factor to determine if we are addicted to gambling should be if we can take a break from it without thinking about it constantly. There are more aspects to an addiction than how often we are at the casino. In sports betting it's true that we have times of big tournaments, where we have big games almost every day and then we have summer breaks where are no games for several weeks. It's more interesting how well you are doing during these break periods and if you will switch to some new sports you never followed before only to place some bets. There are detailed tests for gambling addictions and it shouldn't come down to how many times you visit a casino per week.

Well, I think no one wants to be in such situation. However, because you let yourself so hooked in gambling and forgot to set limitation, obviously no one is to blame but yourself. It will not happen if from the start, we discipline ourselves. Thus we'll only realize the mistakes we did after the reality hits us hard by facing the consequences of becoming addicted.

It's been said many times to only gamble in moderation. If we can follow this, then we can enjoy playing without worries since you can control yourself.

And even going bankrupt may not stop some people to keep gambling, after all someone that has reached that level of addiction will not be above doing all kind of things to keep their addiction going, and this includes committing crimes so they can get the money necessary to keep betting.

Which is why when those people get caught and they finally realize what they have done, they have problems dealing with the guilt they feel, as they cannot believe they stoop so low just to obtain some money.

Haha, addiction to gambling is lot a curse my friend, it's just a gambling disorder, lucky ones still find a way around their addictions before it turns chronic, while the unlucky ones, well, like you said, keep gambling even after they've gone bankrupt, they can go hungry the whole day provided they find some money to satisfy their gambling urge.

Anyways, you are right about card games, I mean I myself have never  even had the thought of playing a card game offline, reason being that I don't trust the system to be really fair, I enjoy card games face to face with my opponent, atleast this way, if I don't win, I know for sure it's because he or she really played better than me.

Gamblers play more card games offline, and they lose the most money in this game. You will find these gamblers in every country, many countries have strict gambling laws so they play secretly. Sports betting is more popular offline in my country, and gamblers lose huge amounts of money in sports betting. Because overconfidence in sports betting emotionally influences the gambler more to take large amount of bets. So if someone becomes addicted to gambling, he cannot quit this addiction until he becomes bankrupt.

Yeah, mostly in poker or specifically any card games that can bring this situation. I am not sure about online gambling because there is no way we can tell if someone has gotten hurt to that extent but I have seen this happening physically. People just casually get started with the card games on the table and they play for the real money. Most of the time they will lose a lot of money and as we know there is only one winner they would go nuts and even start a fight with each other. Seen this in my country with drunk peeps! You won't believe how horrible the situation gets over the period time when same group of addicts meet each other and start gambling their money.

This might be the case with online gambling sites too but there is no way to tell if someone is throwing away their laptop after losing the bets etc. Lolz. But yeah, it should be taken way carefully. There is no coming back if we get addicted to it.

And even today, we still have so many gamblers who lie to themselves that they are gambling just for fun meanwhile deep down in them, they know they are after the money,  , they do this probably to themselves feel alright so as not to think too much of the money they lost..

I myself for example, many a time try to convince myself that I am gambling for fun, meanwhile, deep down in me, I know I want to win some money, big money is possible  , but then, I first try to make myself believe that I am gambling for fun, just incase I don't end up winning, I won't feel too bad about the loss.

Very true. Gambling everyone starts as fun and when someone plays gambling they get attracted to it and at some point the gambler becomes addicted to gambling. I have seen many gamblers who started gambling only for fun and now become completely addicted to gambling, and have sold many of their assets at a loss and lost the money in gambling. So once a person becomes addicted to gambling it is very difficult to get rid of this addiction.

The gambling business is indeed a profitable business for casino owners. But gamblers always hope they can make money from gambling, which attracts many people to try it, especially when they see many people who have managed to win a lot of money from gambling. They can gamble as long as they can be responsible for themselves and not lose self-control but the reality is that many people lose control of themselves and even lose a lot of money in gambling. And the more sophisticated the casino's technology will implement, the more gamblers will be interested in trying it. And if they can't be responsible, they can lose more money than win the gambling game.

Lol you just stated what matter is the time and money so it is definitely a case if a person stays so long in a casino.  If a player stays 24/7 playing then it is obviously that he is neglecting his duties especially when the person is employed.  This kind of practice must be corrected and one should only stay in a casino in a limited or moderated time to practice responsible gambling.  Responsible gambling is enjoying gambling activities in moderated way that it avoids the player from the negative impact of gambling.

Sure deal, when they already expressing the symptoms of aggressively trying to recover those money that they lost during their session, that action serves as the beginning of addiction, they are no longer capable to control and it will continue to the point that they will risk all their savings and if worse happened to them, they will lose everything and they will only regret when they already got an empty savings account.

Entertainment as it can be, but if the gambler already loses control, addiction will follow.

It doesn't matter for how long you stay on a casino or how much you spend there. What matters is the time and money you spend there is a money and time you can afford to lose? Are you having fun when playing? If the answer is yes for the previous questions then you are all right. If no, then you might have addiction problem.

Income source should really be totally separate with gambling because its never been that a good viable solution when it comes on making it an income because instead we would be able to earn then you would lose instead on which there's really no point when it comes to  making it as your main income or source of living. This is why people would really be ending up on messing their lives because they are trying to

push out this kind of idea into their minds which is really that actually having no sense when it comes to realistic kind of making decisions in life which is something that you would really be needing to avoid
as much as you could. Gambling is different from having a day job which we do know that it do brings out money for us to survive. Gambling is for leisure and you should really be able to
realize on what are the things which are really that supposed to do so compared on having this kind of risky decision on making gambling as a source.

At present, a lot of need Was generated because the Impact of the Pandemic left many People unemployed, this as a consequence due to the despair of not receiving a 15 or a last one , since some chose to get well with the casinos for as an option and I understand them because it is a Desperate measure and it is a way to get Money , but doing everything so that it is a Single oOption is the Hardest thing that can be, I Rreally do not Recommend something like that, and having a stable job, but leaving Everything in years of Casino is not the Idea.

I agree with you that almost 100% of those gambling these days are all doing so for the money they intend to win and most time they even have high hope for the outcome of their bet, and for that, they tend to go all in which is the reason why we have so many addictions cases this day.

Most people believe that gambling is done for fun it was true that gambling is meant for fun back then, but lately, casinos have really monetized gambling this day and most people are now gambling for the rewards and no longer for the fun of playing games.

You make good sense on your comment, but permit me to disagree with you on this particular statement you made saying that "every one starts out gambling for fun", if I must be honest with you this day, i personally did not start gambling solely because I wanted to have fun or anything related, I decide to play my first gambling, which was actually a local lotto, after I saw a winning lotto ticket of one of my casual friends..

I was in need of money at the times and needed a way to make that money fast, after seeing that friend of mine wining ticket , I was super hungry for money and thought maybe I could end up as a lucky guy the same way my friend was..

So long story short, what drove me into gambling was the need for money, it was along the line that I started learning and believing that indeed , gambling is just an avenue to have fun, not necessarily an avenue to become rich overnight.
