~snip~
Someone that is that desperate to gamble to the point of using money they cannot really afford to lose will definitely lose it and face that desperate situation, and this is because if they did this and they won, instead of thanking their good luck and never doing this again, the very next time they encounter the same situation they will once again bet that money away, after all if it worked once why it should not work twice? So eventually they will lose that money and find themselves in a terrible situation from which making a recovery is quite difficult.
That mentality attracts more gambling-addicted people, as they think that after taking that win they will easily repeat getting it again, once they start failing, they will keep bringing more money, and that sad reality will take place, using money that is not supposedly intend for gambling and, worse, using money that reserve for important things but eventually being used when a person already loses his control.
Being responsible should be more on how you budget your money and your time, it's a must to put that limitation and avoid exceeding
on both sides, money and your time. If you can handle it properly, then you are safe not to go that deep with gambling.
This kind of thinking should only be had by novice gamblers who do not have enough experience in gambling because novice gamblers do not really know and understand that gambling is an activity that is full of uncertainty except for losses which are always present more often.
But unfortunately gamblers who already have quite lot of experience also have the same thoughts and assumptions as you have conveyed, they still think it will be easy to repeat the same or much bigger wins.
They have forgotten the experience they have had so far and they don't want to think about learning from experience so that bad things don't happen again, and they are even crazier in using money to gamble.
But there will come time when they really run out of all the money they have, including reserve money or savings due to consecutive losses that occur and in that condition they can think and start to have responsible attitude in gambling.
That true but the attitude of responsibility must also be more than just about money and time but also about the decisions taken, most gamblers forget about risks and bet carelessly and as result they will still lose the money they have set.
Even though they have decided to manage their money and time so that they can accept defeat, if they are just careless then everything will be in vain because they won't get anything, including pleasure, because they will always lose and lose.
We must remain gamblers who can minimize losses within the control limits that have been set regarding time and money.
