I thought this is literally speaking about deafness due to some ear disability or being affected because of such gambling activity knowing that most of us nowadays when we are on a pc which we do really have those head phones and i do thought that this was the cause but well i was wrong and for sure there are people who had though the same thing. Grin

Speaking about having that rejecting or ignoring advises around you and when someone is telling you that you are already doing that much with gambling or simply considered to be addict.Then you should
really make up some realizations that you should really be stopping along the way because people wont really be telling something if they do saw that you are really still that in good control towards yourself.

People would usually be quitting or stopping gambling or something when they do really come into a situation on which everything is already that been affected. I have known someone
in my friends ending up with addiction but i didnt bother on giving up some advises since its his money then i dont really like on being scolded out that i shouldnt really be trying out to show off some concern
or just simply minding off my own business.

My friend your title is very misleading and the original post doesn't contain anything related to deafness. Deafness is a physical disability and I don't think that gambling could cause deafness in anyone even if they are absolute addicts. The gamblers often avoid those people who try to stop them from gambling activity and that doesn't makes them deaf. Those gamblers can hear all the words of the one who is trying to show them the bad nature of gambling. They avoid those people intentionally because they can't stop themselves from gambling.

I have seen such gamblers who would never listen to anyone even if the one who is trying to stop them is their own biological father. The gamblers are so addicted into it that they will spend a lot of money on it and they don't care even if they lose everything. They aren't deaf or anything else but have no self-discipline to avoid gambling activities. The addicts will leave the addiction if something more interesting than gambling becomes part of their life. Other than that they won't listen anyone and will continue their gambling activities without any fear or regret.

Addiction is more powerful than you think my friend, maybe you would really have to agree with me that addiction is a spirit, it lives in and controls the mind of its victim, and where it becomes even worst is if the mind of the victim is weaker and can not think on its own and counter some of the things the addicting spirit is telling it to do, this is where the whole deafness thing comes into play, the gambler in real sense is not actually deaf, and neither does he or she don't want to listing to advices coming from friend and relative, its just that the victim have other voices speaking to him or her, and those voices seems more powerful and is in Control, and the victim have not the mental ability to say no to it.

This is exactly what is happening that the ordinary eyes cannot see, and some minds find difficult to comprehend either.

When I first read your subject, I thought that something new is discovered about gambling addiction but later when I read more details, I laughed at your sarcasm. You're right on the spot on this analysis. Not only does gambling addiction make you deaf, it also steals the power of your mind to understand right or wrong.

The gambler addiction fails to recognize that they are doing wrong and if someone tries to give them advice, they tend to be unhappy with them, and depending upon who has advised them, they may start misbehaving with them. Sometimes I feel that arguing with gambling addicted people is like yelling at a deaf person.

I think that evil spiritualistic forces have nothing to do with it. It is rather a feature of human psychology - to be blind to your habits. We cannot live without social evaluation, such is our human nature. And if a person closes himself in, he does not see his degradation. For example, most single men at an older age stop taking care of themselves or cleaning the apartment properly.

Gambling is even worst - it makes a habit in weak-willed people, which quickly destroys this person if no one tells him that it's time to end it. Only a few people can say - I really got into a bad situation, I need to work on myself. At this moment, you need to admit that you were losing, admit that now it can't go on like this. This happened to my friend and until now I still advise him but it hasn't worked because after listening to my advice he keeps doing it again, but sometimes my advice makes him annoyed and angry, which actually I just feel sorry for him, because the money he makes is very important to him .
and finally i got bored and i let him be like that, because when he wins he is good and also royal. Turning a deaf ears in gambling does not have to necessarily have the gambler with the deformity of a blocked ear, such gambler will not just listen to every positive advise to help his gambling experience or career in life because they think they know the best and stands not to be corrected, alot of people found under this category had been left out without much effort on them for change unless they personally wish to.

People who are enjoying what they do tend to close their senses to advice and reminders. We can compare it to a person who is in love. Despite all the advice of people around him/her because of the red flags and negative things that people can see, that person is blinded and just focus on what he/she feels. Same with gambling, a person isn't willing to listen if he likes gambling and has a deeper goal to achieve. He is not open to any corrections and advice because he focuses on what makes him happy.
However, it will not last long because once he encounters a failure, he will then realize his mistake of not listening to good reminders. If we have these kinds of friends and loved ones, I hope we wouldn't get tired of reminding them of what the right thing to do is. They may not listen to us but at least, we are doing our part.

It's like my friend, let alone the advice of friends, his wife and children he doesn't even listen to, that's why being a bad addict is difficult to cure, therefore addicts can be a reflection for us as gamblers so we don't play gambling too much, because if we can't controlling it of course will ruin everything and easy to lose money even family.

I always make myself aware when I play too much, at least there is an alarm for me to stop gambling so I don't gamble too much, that's why it's important for my family to always be able to remind us when I'm too far into gambling because without them I can't control myself. don't let our friends play too far, always remind them before they become addicts.

This seems to be in a fairly acute condition and conditions like this in my opinion are not a matter of him not being able to stop but indeed not wanting to stop gambling. regardless of whether it is addicted or not this will obviously not be easy because indeed in this case he does not want to stop gambling even though he has been reminded by the closest family.

It's strange to associate deafness with gambling when it's much more likely to be triggered by other causes. I find it hard to think of a scenario where somebody could be playing casino type games for that long and at that high of a volume that it would cause this to occur. It definitely made me think of the trigger noises that casino's often use to keep players alert and chasing "reward" type sounds as they are playing along. There might be some bigger issue at fault though if someone is so focused that they're blocking out external sounds.

Because its still destructive behavior and restrictions maybe made just to aid up other non addicted gambler also to new one to came at this point. I really understand why government do some harsh actions towards it since somehow gambling addiction can harm anyone especially when they think about doing crimes just to earn money to spend.

Better not to take it seriously and follow those people who's expert on this case since for sure they already see the worst of it and maybe we don't experience that so I guess they are just working base on the experiences they encounter from those people who's been in worst situation on their gambling habits.

We are talking again about addiction. Why we don`t talking about millions of gamblers without problem? Why we get restrictions due to these ill people? It is awful situation as for me. We can`t gamble without problems, we can buy medicament due to drug addicts, etc. The main part of people haven`t any problems with gambling or probably drugs, but we all suffers due to this small part of us.
