I used to gamble everyday ,morning until dawn with my friends or neighbors, at first all I want was to enjoy myself but later on even how many times I loss still I keep on coming back hoping that I can win. I've been a iresponsible mother with my son and depend my responsibilities to my parents. I onced pawned my jewelries or valuable things just because of gambling that's how addicted I am in gambling now I am thankful that I can control my addiction. Yes, I still play but it is not like before I know my priorities and I do not want to risk my family just because of gambling.

Gambling on daily basis is not at all good if you invest the big fund to play the games mate. I would like to suggest you to use the sport bet alone if you do it every day because in this option alone you can find the information about the player or anyone.
Then you can choose the potential player and bet on them mate.
Since you confirm that you already started to confirmed you gambling addiction.
I liked the way you tried to help him and understand his problem. Definitely, getting rid of this game after becoming an addict is very difficult. But would not it be much better to utilize his time in keeping himself away from this game instead of learning about sports bet. This is not the solution to change game for placing bets. Moreover, luck element does not eliminate this way. He still can lose his money.

Just curious to read some addict or former addict stories and probably some of us like me will be glad to see how things actually did roll in for them during this period and I believe some other persons tending towards that path can also learn from it. Also, if you have a friend or relative you can speak for, it would be appreciated.

Personally, this is what I would like to know though.

1. How did you find yourself ending up to become an addict? What instigated it to the point that you just found yourself not being able to control the impulse any longer? What was the feeling like and during those period of being an addict, did you know and were you willing to pop out of it?

2. What were the steps you took or the steps you are taking to get out from it, and on the scale of 1 to 10, how can you rate how you are doing now?

3. For those who are out of it, do you still gamble or still wish you could? In the case where you are still gambling, how do you want to make sure what happened initially does not end up repeating itself.

4. Any other thing you feel you can add is welcome.

Though I am someone who heavily disagrees on gambling, I cannot escape my past as a gambler. My whole experience taught me the values and discipline that shaped me as an individual.

1. As an immature individual who knows nothing about the implications of gambling, I have this friend who introduced me to this online gambling site wherein there exist a chance of acquiring more resources by risking your own. I was winning continuously and I even considered making this gambling site as my primary method of acquiring money.

2. Talking about beginner's luck, I thought that this streak would continue endlessly but this is invalidated my experience since the streak went to the opposite effect. That is when I realized that if I do not change my ways then this would only make my situation a lot worse. It was really a difficult time as I got attached to the gambling since I treated it as a form of entertainment but what really helped me was the intervention of my family members who continued to support and help me.

3. What really helped me is that I make myself as the difference to others. Instead of gambling, I always try my best to be the someone who will make the difference to others or will be the one who will helped individuals who were in my situation before. After my experience, it really took a toll into my attitude and habits wherein it changed on how I handle things.

This happen to me when I sold everything I have years ago so I can continue to gamble, I just realized this thing one day when I'm already broke.
Well, its not easy to recover but of course people should be willing to give up gambling

2. What were the steps you took or the steps you are taking to get out from it, and on the scale of 1 to 10, how can you rate how you are doing now?

I just ask for the help of my family, I lose not much money on gambling but I know I'm already addict that time.
I actually doing good right now and I can say gambling is just part of my past now.

3. For those who are out of it, do you still gamble or still wish you could? In the case where you are still gambling, how do you want to make sure what happened initially does not end up repeating itself.
Yes of course I still want to play but not in the same way as before, I'll just focus on trading now.

I have a story connected with forex and binary options. It all started about 1.5 years ago. I saw advertising as people easily make money on Forex. I  downloaded the app, read something, watched the video and began to trade. Truth is told that newcomers are lucky, for 1 hour I reached $2500 from $100. Then of course in my head surfaced thoughts that I am a great trader. As a result, I drained all the money. After that, I try not to gamble anymore, it's terrible to lose everything.

Basically my story is as follows.

Long time ago in my area me and my friend decided to buy some scratch off lottery tickets. I think we each bought $20 or so.

I actually ended up winning like $5 and used the $5 to buy more scratch off tickets and ended up losing that $5 even.

My friend on the other hand was very lucky. He ended up winning like $500, and this is where the trouble started.

Basically after losing the initial investment of $20 I was upset and didn't buy any more tickets. My friend on the other hand wasn't so lucky, he basically bought $500 worth of scratch tickets and ended up losing the $500.

But what was worse was that he decided to spend his paycheck buying more of those tickets and again he ended up losing. He ended up racking up all his credit cards and losing his life time savings.

Eventually he got help for it and now stays away from any form of gambling even those charitable raffles.

So basically if you win too much in the beginning you can get easily hooked.

I quit gambling long time ago when I was on the verge of becoming an addictive gambler. I used to gamble regularly with my friends and I found it entertaining until it started to affect my studies and social life. Then, I tried to reduced my gambling activities.

Then, I got rid of it completely as I got used to the new routine. It was hard from the beginning, but then you will get used to it because your time is filled up with other various activities

That's why I don't believe them when they say that it's hard to quit gambling for good because if someone really wanted a change he can do anything even beyond his limit. They say that it just takes 21 days to make a new habit so if you just continue pursuing your change then it will happen. Just have a good diversion then it'll be all good.

On the other hand, I'm happy that I didn't get to the point of addiction or better yet I'll be miserable.

I ended up becoming addicted to gambling when i first tried some sports betting and i got extremely lucky i won like 500$ from just putting 20$, wining that much money gave me the feel of power, and rush so i got addicted to that feeling and i would always try to get that win again even after losing a lot, at the point where i was broke, and as soon as i get paid i spend all my payment in a day on gambling, at that point my friends told me to stop and told me if i am going to keep this up i would end up messing up my future, and so to help me with getting rid of it they would always keep me busy with other activities and they took control of my bank account for a while so i won't go spend it on gambling, and after a while i stopped craving for that feeling that i got from gambling.

1. How did you find yourself ending up to become an addict?
-When i cant already resist myself on playing on daily basis and been spending the money which are already allocated for daily expenses.

What was the feeling like and during those period of being an addict, did you know and were you willing to pop out of it?
-When you are in the middle of the situation willing to quit is non existent on our mind because we do only think up on our recent action.

2. What were the steps you took or the steps you are taking to get out from it, and on the scale of 1 to 10, how can you rate how you are doing now?

Distracting myself into other things which arent related to gambling.I do really need to have a strong self discpline and mind control on not to play again.Sounds too easy but would really be hard to do but once youve done it then be consistentt and you would able to get out in no time.

3. For those who are out of it, do you still gamble or still wish you could?
- Some people do still play but they do already learn and aware on the possible risk which it would result into less playing on gambling and less spending of their money.

In the case where you are still gambling, how do you want to make sure what happened initially does not end up repeating itself.
-Just remember the consequences that you experienced before,if you dont like to happen again then better not to repeat the same mistakes again.

Im a long time gambler and considered myself addict but it's just on "some of the cases". Good thing I end up a responsible gambler eventhough overall I experienced losing very big. It's just that I know how to deal with losses.

2. What were the steps you took or the steps you are taking to get out from it, and on the scale of 1 to 10, how can you rate how you are doing now?

Once I loved that gambling type I will not leave it easily. So again good thing Im a responsible one, I turned my addiction into advantage and now doing good so far.

Generally, people have different approach on how will they deal in their own gambling problem. There are fortunate and unfortunate but in the end it's really up to ourselves where we will choose to land.

Im still do gambling up to today and my losing experienced turned me into much responsible gambler and now currently enjoying winning moments in most of the cases.

Sad to hear your stories but I know that is the norm for most addictive gambling because I know a lot of people with similar stories. Families are shattered, life are broken because that one gambling bet that we did in the past will haunt us for the rest of our lives.

I'm glad that I didn't go that far though, was able to control before its too late, although the damage has been done on my end, I was able to repair it and just gamble when I have the time and just having fun and not totally wanted to look at it as a 'daily job".

I would say that gambling is part of our culture. My father was a gambler, although not an addict and occasionally, I would sit with my relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, friends) to play card games. However, about 10 years ago, I started to go to gambling casino to play and that's how it all started. I can't really explain the feeling, but its like a someone is really telling inside of you to go and play specially upon waking up. Well, when all money stops coming in, then I don't have the funds to fuel my addiction so that made me stop.

2. What were the steps you took or the steps you are taking to get out from it, and on the scale of 1 to 10, how can you rate how you are doing now?

I would say 7-8. Although I'm still going to casino today, but its not like before. Maybe I learn my lessons the hard way not to take advantage of easy money and save for the future. Or maybe I change my priorities in life.

3. For those who are out of it, do you still gamble or still wish you could? In the case where you are still gambling, how do you want to make sure what happened initially does not end up repeating itself.

4. Any other thing you feel you can add is welcome.

If you hit rock bottom you will started to realised that gambling will not bring you any good at the end. So better quit while you can, or at least control or limit yourself.

Quite good that you are out today of this gambling else sure by now you would have lost few thousands of dollar if you had become a addictive to it and keep gambling. It would have even effected your relationship and health too a great extent.

My gambling addiction is same like most of the people who promote gambling sites on this forum.
I was getting paid in my yolodice account every week and everything seemed fine for the first few months , but slowly i started developing a slight interest in gambling.
Then one day i deposited 0.1 bitcoin on the site and gambled my way to a profit of 0.4 bitcoin , as i was new i just had a goal of 1 bitcoin which was stupid enough but i didn't realise it that time.
I then slowly started losing my funds but i still was in profit so didn't care much and then i was at 0 profit that's when i got addicted and transferred more bitcoin to my account and kept losing until i stopped at a loss of 0.3 bitcoin.
Then i started gambling with my weekly payments and once i was able to turn 0.007 to 0.2 but again addiction got over me and i lost everything
Finally i messaged ethan who is owner of yolodice and told him to block me from gambling , since then i have kept myself under control
