The Chinese have just influenced the majority of the countries with Feng Shui. In their nearby countries, you'll see most of them applying this practice and belief. Nothing wrong with what you believe as an individual, whether it is Feng Shui or Eastern traditions, or Western beliefs about gambling. I just respect these beliefs if they mean a lot to the believer as long as they don't disturb and don't bring harm to others.

How about you? Do you have Fengshui practice that you're observing when you are about to play or while playing
For superstitions in general, the most persons that are affected by it are those that have subscribed to it and believe in its reality. For many that formerly know and believe in the Fengshui they may most certainly be affected by it based on mindset. While for others like myself who just heard about it, it now depends on us to either believe it or not...You believe, you begin to see it's effect, if you don't...i believe you won't.

i have no Fenhshui practice, i gamble whenever i choose without considering superstition.

Probably just Chinese belief but if the casino owner isn't believing this and still flourishing, that needs to be explained thoroughly. Can't say for sure on those successful casinos out there but I think it wouldn't much to apply now when it comes to online, if ever Fengshui experts says it is still appeals here, I wonder.

This belief is common in some Asian countries believing that Fengshui could attract luck. They hardly believe that Fengshui will have a big impact on our future. However, I don't believe in such a thing though I respect the superstition of other cultures. Most gambling games are luck-based yet Fengshui can't control or even decide our fate. I guess this is another strategy for casinos that want to attract players who also have the same belief but as for me, Fengshui or any tools being used in gambling has nothing to do with our gambling results.

They are widely swayed by believes which means that some companies would try and use some other method as well and other than the artistic value they do provide an excellent way to use up some space in the area and make them stand out as well. I do think that it is indeed alright to place them around in gambling areas but they need not to be concerned with the indepth basis since most religions and practices would be well against gambling as well. It's like going to the god and wishing that you might win before placing any bet.

How about you? Do you have Fengshui practice that you're observing when you are about to play or while playing
Well, this is my first time to learn of the word "Fengshui". It turns out that I have been practicing some form of it without even knowing. In my culture the number Four isn't associated with being unlucky. What is associated with being unlucky or "death" is the colour black. Casinos do not use the colour at all. A gambling superstition in my culture -  When a gambler hits his left foot against a rock. They associate it with losing. Another superstition is when a gambler's palm itches and he scratches it. It means he is going to win some money at the casino.

So you see even if everything depends on luck and circumstances there are many people even non-Chinese are following Fengshui practices.
I really know the Chinese people's beliefs about the flow / science of feng shui, proven both fortune numbers and unlucky numbers, objects and so on.

In the feng shui method, China believes it will bring a positive aura and avoid negative aura, to be honest, feng shui number hockey in gambling is often used in land casino betting, In Singapore, things like this are commonly done by the Chinese, such as the numbers 8-38-48-68-88-168 and so on, the Chinese believe it is a lucky number.

I remember the opening of the Olympics in Beijing in 2008, they believed in the number 8 lucky hockey, the event opened all starting with the number 8. Just like they did on the 8th and 8pm.

Conclusion: gambling and feng shui, I think this method applies specifically to Chinese people, even though they apply it in the world of gambling, the reason is because they already believe in fengshui, I'm not sure fengshui science can apply to followers of other schools besides fengshui, luck, fanatics, hockey and luck of a person based on their beliefs, if they see Chinese people get luck based on fengshui beliefs, then they try, I'm sure they will go home empty bag in gambling, like the hotel method in Las Vegas, It's weird nowadays how to bet, it's the same as lottery guessing believing in the devil, if they are not the basis of Feng shui.

Chinese businessmen are really keen into following this belief that the Western world adopted it. There's nothing wrong in following these superstitions as long as you are a level-headed person that knows common sense is always better than making things complicated. Sometimes, I too, follow the feng shui unknowingly whenever I am gambling. Mind you, I'm not gambling for profit, but sometimes I avoid rolling for a minute just because the time on the clock has "13" in it. It's crazy how this way of thinking affects a lot of people around the world, and one can find its influence in almost every industry imaginable.

Yeah, it is funny right? but I really don't know why that sometimes it is effective. Sometimes I wear red , anything that is red because I believe that it would bring me a luck in a hard situation such as in playing casinos that for me only those lucky ones can win, sometimes it happens that I always win using this trick, but I didn't mind it at all cause I play for fun.

I think this is mostly a Chinese thing, it's a superstitious belief that they follow in order to attract luck. IMO, it's good for business but not in gambling because we all know that the casino has the house edge and we will just lose in the long run, no luck could beat the house edge unless we hit the jackpot and we stop after.

Most gamblers that I know is very superstitions, so yeah maybe FengShui and Gambling works hand in hand. And Feng Shui has spread out, so it's not just a Chinese thing anymore, even the West practice it because it can bring good luck because you are trying to attract positivity through those arrangement to have balance and harmony. And of course keep faith that we will be lucky once we enter those casinos.

It's true that they have those beliefs which also influences people from other countries. I remember a friend who asked lottery numbers from a Chinese associate. The guy went to a corner so he could concentrate but I wasn't sure what he was murmuring about. Maybe it's part of their beliefs.

I guess it's more of Asian thingy, so not sure if Western casino's have practice or practicing it because that seems to be odd.

It started in China but its everywhere now, it's very popular even in the western because it's effective, it's harmonious thinking and arraignment of things and being in tune with nature, that's the essence of Fengshui and we have the right thinking we attract luck

Quote
And yeah, it's ancient as the Chinese, it's about finding harmony and balance thru arrangement of objects in a confine space. It could be fall on the category of superstitions though, so we may have our own interpretations or maybe we should believe on it or not.

There are superstitions side to Fengshui but you cannot argue its success on the Chinese and even non-Chinese practitioners, who employ it in their business, so gamblers are also employing they have nothing to lose and it's harmless they just have to change their mindset and belief and arraign and align some things.

I haven't understand if Feng shui is an art or not (I've heard about it on the movie "The Wolf of Wall street" the first time), but as I understand, it is correlated with Chinese superstition. I confirm that anyway, when I was in Las

Vegas 3 years ago I've seen this strange thing, and when I've asked about it to receptionist, he has given to me the same explanation that you're givin here !

This is what we called superstitious belief, right?

Well, I think every gambler has their own way of attracting luck, but for me, I'd rather believe in statistics and the chances of winning than luck. There are times we get lucky but we can never get consistent with that, so for me, Fengshui or whatever it is that would make me lucky is not necessary anymore as luck will just come when you are not expecting it, just like a thief in the night.

Feng shui is an ancient Chinese art of arranging buildings, objects, and space in an environment to achieve harmony and balance

But do you know that Fengshui is practiced and observed in gambling and in popular casino cities? even MGM and many hotels in casinos are following Fengshui, these are just some of the examples

Quote
the MGM Grand had to change its entrance, one that formerly forced customers to walk through the mouth of a lion (actually, under its chin, but close enough), deemed to be a very bad mojo by players from Asia.

Quote
The number Four is unlucky because it sounds like the Chinese word for “death.” This is why many hotels in Las Vegas skip floor numbers that start with the number four. The Rio Las Vegas, for example, is advertised as having 51 floors, but if you deduct the missing 40-49, it actually has just 41. The Encore is also missing floors 40-49.

Fascinating Chinese Gambling Superstitions

So you see even if everything depends on luck and circumstances there are many people even non-Chinese are following Fengshui practices.

How about you? Do you have Fengshui practice that you're observing when you are about to play or while playing
