I have a friend that does Sports betting full-time and he specialize in horse racing, because he has been doing that for most of his life. He gets some inside information from the Jockeys that gives him a bit of edge over the other gamblers, but he rarely win something big.

I also have friends doing part-time Poker tournaments, but they say they will never do that full-time. The competition is just too tough and it only last for a few years. (Younger talented players are constantly pushing older players out of the circle and sponsors also look for young and new talent)

Will I do this full-time on what I get from gambling..... never! (I do it for the entertainment value, not as a job) Wink

It won't be sustainable if that is your only stream of income, the problem with gamblers by profession that do not last long in the game is that they do not have any other steady stream of income be it passive or active which can help them in the times that they do not earn a lot of money when they are gambling.

They can only sustain if they themselves are making money in gambling.

No one can last long in gambling if he is risking a decent amount and not making money at all since the reality will bite us which is we lose in the long run, good thing for some people this is not a threat to them as in the long run they become more consistent and they are making money.

Even if we say that no one can last long in gambling, many people still play gambling and hope to make money from gambling. No matter how much money they already lose and will lose, they will come back and play the other gambling games. If they can not realize that, sooner or later, they can become addicted to gambling, and once they addicted to gambling, it is hard to stop their habit and solve the problem.

Gambling really attempts to attract and seduce people to come back over and over. And that will depend on how strong that person to stop gambling and not thinking gambling as a source of income.

No, luck is a part of the game. But you can minimize luck especially when it come to sports betting. There is a reason why people (even they are less) living from sports betting. They have a good knowledge and access to (mostly paid) statistics which help them to have an advance.

If you are good at analysing the matches you can always find a way to keep up with the sportsbooks,more years go by and you evolve,but sometimes when a bad streak strikes better to lower down the bet size and not to chase those losses.

Good advise, knowing how to set your limitations as it's not possible to have a continues winning streak, shit can happened along the way, with good money management along with your skills, there's a big chance that you'll be able to gain decent from this activities.

There are people who managed to work with their gambling habits as extra good source of income, those who are in this

I had that life some time ago when I was very profitable in sports gambling, especially in tennis. But when it started going against me when I lost my talent going through my knee surgery a few years back, I started looking for other ways to earn a living as my relatives were not interested in becoming my helping hand, so it was me alone to manage everything for myself.

Yes, practice makes perfect. I am sure we can practice controlling ourselves because that is the important thing for us to have control.
It will be too difficult to do that thing for new people, and it will be hard to control themselves and stay discipline, especially if they win for some rounds.
Maybe they can use smaller money to gamble while learning to control themselves, so when they can master the lesson, they can start to use medium amounts to gamble.
But that will for some time before they can master both lessons, and I do not think they can survive for a long term to do that lesson because the greediness will be behind them.

Actually when it comes into gambling there are the two result in there you can't have all luck all day long when it comes into gambling you can't even discipline yourself when it's live its hardly control our self when it comes to that whether we win or lose the emotion keep us wanting to win, but when your just practicing then why should you just risk money when you are not sure about one thing then maybe internet can help you to practice do some research about all you wanna learn and applied it to your self. Maybe in this pandemic those who hasn't job are into gambling this is the only way they can actually make a good money from it but just don't depends on luck it's all about skill.

I would like to assume that they are making money in gambling because they are dependent on it. Personally I'm considering gambling as entertainment but at the same time I'm also expecting a return but I'm a matured gambler I can easily accept defeat as I experience it many times already in the past.

well, if you ask me I go with BevNation as living with a gambling life to sustain your needs is a bit off to believe. Maybe in real life that could be a fact but here in Online gambling? that's a big question for me I suppose as I don't play a lot maybe I just don't see it well. Still I think if you're an owner that could count or maybe your a beater/cheater then it could be also possible.
