Let love lead
Gambling sometimes is very beneficial, especially to those  who are disciplined enough and have good plans for their life, its very important to have your life properly  planned out even before money comes your way, lest you're prone to wasting such funds. The guy in question surely knew what he wanted before the win came along, him winning the money was just like answered prayers and he utilize it according to existing plans.

Gambling fund saves those who are wise and not addicts who might put the acquired funds back into gambling thinking that their luck has started to shine and losing everything in the process. If you gamble in moderation, and the tables turn in your favor, your in the best position to utilize it profitably. We need to have plans about our lives at every moment, so as to utilize opportunities properly when they present themselves, just as the man in question above.

Wise decision you say OP. Gambling is a risk, and do you think that so many persons believe taking risk is a wise decision? Taking risk is a terrible decision in my opinion that is why it is advisable to gamble with money we do not have a serous need for. Using your emergency fund, money for monthly expenses and investment to gamble is not a good idea. I have a different amount i keep for gambling of which i know if i lose any day i won't be depressed or be in debt.

From his voice he seems like one whose lost hope has been restored by that single win. Gambling can be a life saver too for it's not as bad as non-gamblers portrays it. To all gamblers' when you get lucky make good use of your gambling win do not chase for double portion.
Yes, not only can gambling be a hope restorer, but it has also been a life changer to many who gambled and luckily won a huge sum, because one similarity I have come to notice about all those who won this huge sum while gambling is that non ever knew they will win when they won, but it all came as a surprise, hence, this should be a lesson to all of us to always have an open mind while gambling, so as to accept whatever result that may come our way with an amount we can always afford to lose, so that if we win, we accept it that way, but if we lose, we also accept it with good fate without regret. Rather than gambling all you have with the mindset gambling will someday restore your hope.
It can only be a hope restorer with luck. I think this part is very relatable. Most of the times i get to win in gambling is when i gamble with the last penny i kept for gambling and luckily i win with some extra bucks on top. So yes, there is hope when there is money to gamble if you are out of gambling funds there is no hope.

As a responsible gambler it gladdens my heart always whenever I hear a fellow gambler testify of how he won a bulky amount of money from be it a bet or lotto and uses that money to inject into something meaningful for himself.

It all happened on my way home just this evening. I boarded a public bus and just in front of me were seated two young men too in their late thirty's having a conversation and from the conversation it sound like they haven't met for a long time and one was telling the other of how he had won a big amount of money from a lotto he played and he has used the money to get himself a new bus for public transportation business.

According to him, he once had a bus before which he was using for the transport business (carrying of passengers) but was seized and confiscated by the authority for he used it in conveying contraband goods of which he was hired to carry to some location by the goods owner on the way law enforcement agents stop them did a search and that was how he lost that vehicle.

So winning that money he quickly went ahead to get a new bus to continue his public transport business. From his voice he seems like one whose lost hope has been restored by that single win. Gambling can be a life saver too for it's not as bad as non-gamblers portrays it. To all gamblers' when you get lucky make good use of your gambling win do not chase for double portion.

Honestly these fairytale stories that constantly seem to pop up on the forum are a bit ridiculous and barely comprehensible or logical half the time. You know contraband usually refers to illicit goods, right? As in he was breaking the law and that's why he got a vehicle seized, so is hardly in need of sympathy. How does he jump from running a public transportation business, which would suggest he is carrying passengers, and end up transporting goods instead?
It's a pity you assume this real life story to be a fairytale but it's cool, you can see it in that light or which ever way you choose however I don't know why I should be cooking up fairytale story as this I wonder who I am impressing here.

Over here people buy 18 seaters buses a good example is Toyota Hiace bus and use it for intra-urban  transportation business, a single individual can decide to hire the bus for a short time service for his private use (provided he can pay for the service) either to carry some items or goods for them to another location. And it's a common thing over here in my country. Anyways, I don't have anything to prove to you real or fairy tale, the message from the story is clear and that's what I have just shared as I witnessed it.

To be it sounds like a reasonable story. Here in my country there are several military checkpoints along the inter-state highways,.the military have the authority to stop and search for merchandise on both personal vehicles and buses, if they find a bus transporting anything they consider to be unlawful, like a important amount of Merchandise, they would seize it all and the ownership over the bus itself could be lost in a legal limbo. Sadly that is how corrupt the business of transportation is here.

So, in my eyes and knowing how things work here, I personally believe that gambling story to be within the real of the reasonable.
On the other hand, while there are indeed stories about how gambling can change life in a very positive way, those are not the norm, they are the exception, because it is obvious that if all gamblers could share Stories like those ones, then casinos would not be profitable businesses, and there would be easy to see people here in the forum talking about earnings and winnings, instead of addiction to gambling or chasing losses.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
There are so many ugly stories untold, behind his timely success... would you believe that too?? Sometimes, maybe he had to sell off his old ride or give it out as a collateral, just to try his luck and it cut...

AFAIK, there are so many scandalous act recorded all through the years(ever since gambling was accepted), that has risen the public's attention and have been summed up by apprehending the culprits involved... nobody wants to be sentenced for squandering people's funds on gambling so he was solely responsible for his fate... Good or bad
I had to bring that to your notice just Incase you feel gambling hasn't made any negative impact.. mind you, he never said anything about his challenges overtime.

Like most people have already pointed out the guy in question was lucky with his game because a lot of people have also placed bets with similar amount that he did but unfortunately for them they lost everything.

While some have some really strong plans for what they want to do when they hit a jackpot but up till this day they still haven’t been lucky enough to hit one – it’s not like everyone wants to waste their gambling money (although some actually squander their wins on meaningless things) but we have people that legitimately have good plans but are yet to hit anything.

Spending a tiny portion of your salary every so often to buy a single lottery ticket is not something significant on one hand as it doesn't do harm, but it's also nowhere close to being "wise".

I would say the "wise" way to go about gambling, is that if you have solved your money problems you can see gambling as a past time. Not much more. It's not something to grant you hope or something to expect to get you out of dire situations. It's just something to have fun and spend time. This is the only way to gamble in a healthy manner imho. Saying otherwise kind of introduces and perpetuates bad mindsets that are unrealistic about what gambling can offer.

This can be a life saver once you got the lucky win and spend it wisely, but the probability for this to happen is very low.
If you're broke and experiencing a lot of financial problem, make sure you still have the plan to survive and if you're thinking about gambling, make sure that it will not add up to your financial problem and stay on a budget. There's a lot of lucky gamblers already, and i'd hope they are still enjoy their big profit in gambling.

What we should know is that gambling is all about risks method and before you win a gamble and maybe it is your own time to win a gambling it is not all about prediction many people knows how to predict but they don't win gambling so I believe that what makes people to win a gambling to summary luck not as because of the no quite well what to do in gambling so that is why I do believe that gambling is all about luck is not all about prediction so myself I don't really believe on those stuff that you guys depend on concerning gambling and the investment

Blessing for those who experienced winning but just a dream to those who keeps on losing. For sure we would have different testimonies and ideals of gambling depending on how things are going on our end. Let's be honest; only a small percentage of gamblers are in profit in the long run. It is not always how wisely we are playing 'coz sometimes it is just our luck which determines the outcome of our gambling activities. Ever heard of players saying that gambling is not for them? Those instances are colors of despair and regrets. We could be positive with our views in gambling but never disregard the risk involved that we cannot really change.
I would say that guy is just lucky to win an amount that enabled him to purchase another bus. And he’s wise enough to put that money to good use. With money gotten from gambling, he got back on track so I guess in a way,, gambling could be a hope restorer like you put it if you go about it wisely. There are lots of people that have won huge sums and go ahead to put it to good use as well as lots of people that have won huge sums and go ahead to squander it, losing it all in no time.

I don’t think the thought of gambling being a “hope restorer”  could turn out healthy for some people. When gamblers start to depend on gambling as a last resort to get that win that would turn things around, that’s when the decline into addiction slowly starts.
What about those who did not win still? Will it just be hope for life? The only instance we could say gambling restored our hope is simply once we experienced winning and with the same extent, not all people have won in lotteries or have won jackpot prizes in casinos. It just depends on your fate as a gambler and that is a variable no one has control.

The thing is that no one knows when this win is going to come and I don't know about you but some gamblers tend to do foolish things like actually putting their hope on gambling that they are going achieve their plan through gambling which from a logical aspect is far fetch except the wheels of luck tend to spin to you making you a step closer and yes I said a step closer and that's because many people don't know when to utilize their winning and you know the gist with money @brings out the greed in humans. The thing is that every gambler has their moment of winning and just like a friend use to say this, if you place a bet, play to win atleast a tangible amount because one day the circle will turn round and hit you too and when it comes let it not be that you actually stake to win small amount because it might take long before you see that luck.

And unfortunately, what we find in society is that the impact of gambling is actually more negative for gamblers. especially those who may have just entered and are tempted by the various prize advertisements being promoted. Indeed, this will really depend on each person's individual personality, maturity, and also their readiness both mentally, financially, and also understanding in gambling. But not everyone can prepare all this when they want to enter gambling.

That's why there are so many cases where people lose money quickly, become bankrupt, and have various other negative impacts as a result of getting involved in the world of gambling. even though we are talking about the fact that gambling can also help us by getting prizes from gambling if we can control it and make the best use of it. but unfortunately the facts on the ground are quite difficult to find. So, there really is a need for education about gambling before people actually enter the world of gambling. ideally it's like this. However, once again, maybe we can say that it is rare for people to prepare when they are going to gamble.

I have hard many of such life changing through gambling before and majority of those testimonies comes from sport bettors and lottery player's, but then also before you become that lucky to win such huge amounts as jackpot you will have to first of all be active gamblers and at some point have recorded alot of loses in the past.

Because such winnings hardly comes to newbies gambler's who never experienced loses or being a regular gambler's unless if the games code were given to him by another person and he happens to stake it and becomes lucky to have win.

How long before he tries to take another shortcut because of greed? It sounds like an incredibly wasteful way to operate. However it sounds completely dreamed up anyway, not least because most gamblers stick their money back in the game rather than getting substantially lucky and cashing out.

Some people may just not be lucky as this guy, but I like the guy that he dd not misuse the luck he has with gambling. Some people would win huge amount of money but they will continue to gamble and gambling will take all and more from these kind of people. It is important for people to be wise while gambling. But people should not always think like this that they should gamble to win huge amount because the success of someone may affect another person while trying to also win from gambling. These type of luck is not for everyone. Although it is good to try such with small amount of money sometimes.

the guy in the story is lucky enough to win good amount of money and buy what he needed for his business. not all gamblers who have money problems can have such luck in his life, so for most, do remember that when you go inside the casino and start playing, always remember to use the money that you can afford to lose and the money that is supposedly to buy an important thing. else, you are mostly screwing up your next plans for the money that you have.

He must have won some huge amount of money for him to have been able to buy a bus for himself and I hope he has learnt his lessons not to involve himself in contraband goods or lifting of armed robbers because some of the bus drivers enter into bad "business " and gang robbery at night, this is just a twist to it. But the point is he has to be careful now that it seem he has been compensated by having a jackpot.

He is lucky with this winning because not many wins such money to be able to get themselves a bus. And he did well to take action immediately and not to start thinking of doubling his winning by being greedy to bet more which is what takes back winning from gamblers. Greed is such that makes a gambler go back to zero level after winning.

that's a very expensive lesson, so i guess that's a memorable one to last a lifetime. with the new bus, for sure, he will not go in the same route as before. otherwise, he is just ruining this chance for himself. at least this one, he got what he had lost. and hopefully, learn something about what to do and what not to do in his line of business. not many people can have their second chance and win from it.

one was telling the other of how he had won a big amount of money from a lotto he played and he has used the money to get himself a new bus for public transportation business.
It's always very nice to hear positive experiences from gamblers about their winnings, which helped them to acquire enough money to start a business or achieve a dream they were wishing for so long. I believe the best side of the stories isn't the fact of eaning a large sum of money, but the decision they made in using that money for purposeful improvements in their personal lives.

Sometimes people are hopeless, they don't know what to do anymore to improve their life status and reach a more comfortable lifestyle. It seems all they have tried has failed along the years, so the luck factor is very important in these cases to give a boost, to raise their moral and confidence, consequently making them believe things can get better, when they least expect. In few cases I agree with you: gambling, an activity heavily influenced by the luck factor, can help to restore hope which has been lost for so long...

However, we shouldn't count on this as our last salvation plan. If something good has to come through gambling, let it happen naturally. Never force anything on this matter. Never act irresponsibly expecting positive outcomes from your desperate actions.

Reality check: There is no guarantee that you can win the bets and make money that can be used to restore whatever you are hoping would restore and thinking in that way is wrong and which is what leads for someone to gamble for wrong reasons. Glorifying win can lead to destruction of many and the one individual who won may not disclose about how many times he lost while doing for the same reason. But you bet and won an amount that is considerably big then make use of it something more useful than just spending on booze and girls.
People should open their eyes and make this reality check which its true that there's no way that this could really be applied to everyone. Being lucky would really be that not something that could be obtained but rather it would really be a random thing. It is really just that what makes this industry becomes that profitable is that peoples motives and hopes are really that something not that realistic.
If you are really that trying out to achieve your dreams via gambling then most likely or a guaranteed thing that you would really be messing up instead. Why? being lucky could be random
and not everyone could hit up a jackpot. If you do have all the luck in the world then its possible, but how we would be able to know that?
There's no way that we could be able to point it out.
I agree!

If you are trying out to copy someones luck then you would be ending up on being that desperate with every gambling sessions that you could have on which you will really be pursuing on the things that they have that gained or able to experience on which it would be leading into desperation and we know that what desperation could come next?  Being impulsive on every decisions and dealing that you are currently
handling with and this is something not really that good when you do play gambling.

The main priority that we do have in life is on how to become rich or simply does have that kind of financial freedom and this is where you would really be having those kind of assumptions
that you could really be able to acquire it through gambling. So trying out to mimic and copy would lead up into disaster. So its never been that
recommendable that you should really be tolerating that kind of urge of emotion.
