Do you think he deserved that win? You mentioned that he knowingly used his previous Bus to transport drugs, so now he won money to buy another Bus and then to do this again?

I am happy when I hear that some poor single parent won a Lottery and that he or she used that money to buy a house and to pay for the studies of his or her children.

Why is it always the people that deserve it the least, that are winning all those big wins?

Yes, I agree with you. It is a life changer in gambling if you win a jackpot, and if the gambler or the person who wins a huge amount of money has discipline and is business-minded, then the first thing he will do is invest it in something or build a dream business of his own.

(....)
This is an inspiring story about where people use their gambling winnings.
I saw some documentaries about people who won lotto jackpots and their lives after a few years, some people became broke even though they had already won the lotto jackpot.
So compared to the story of OP, this person is different and knows how to use the winnings, which I can say he deserves the jackpot.

So winning that money he quickly went ahead to get a new bus to continue his public transport business. From his voice he seems like one whose lost hope has been restored by that single win. Gambling can be a life saver too for it's not as bad as non-gamblers portrays it. To all gamblers' when you get lucky make good use of your gambling win do not chase for double portion.

As long as we are responsible gamblers, of course, gambling will not bring anything negative to us. Even the case you shared, brought back the dim hopes of a gambler who lost his business.
it was a great fortune. no matter what game we win. we must learn from the stories you share. we can use the victory to revive our desires. maybe something that has been lost or has not been achieved.

We don't know how regularly the person you talk about buys the lottery. but when he makes sure to use his winnings wisely and responsibly. then that is a good achievement.

As a responsible gambler it gladdens my heart always whenever I hear a fellow gambler testify of how he won a bulky amount of money from be it a bet or lotto and uses that money to inject into something meaningful for himself.

It all happened on my way home just this evening. I boarded a public bus and just in front of me were seated two young men too in their late thirty's having a conversation and from the conversation it sound like they haven't met for a long time and one was telling the other of how he had won a big amount of money from a lotto he played and he has used the money to get himself a new bus for public transportation business.

According to him, he once had a bus before which he was using for the transport business (carrying of passengers) but was seized and confiscated by the authority for he used it in conveying contraband goods of which he was hired to carry to some location by the goods owner on the way law enforcement agents stop them did a search and that was how he lost that vehicle.

I don't want to jinx the good story, but the thing is that is not always the case. Yes, we can hear stories like this where gambling becomes their life-changing event, wherein gambling winnings give them a good life, but compared to those stories, if we weigh them, there are more misery gambling stories, meaning not all the time what the OP said could happen to us. I'm not contradicting the positive vibes of the topic, but this is a warning that gambling is not always green. See the whole picture and say that gambling is good. I don't intend to stop anyone from gambling, because I personally do. The thing is, I want to convey a message about how dangerous gambling is.

Gambling can be a hope restorer if we go about it wisely! well, I do agree with you, bro.

if you do buy lottery and made full win is total luck it can give you a hope but also can ruin yourself it always depends on you and how you treat your money if you treat it carefully like investing in something that can make you profit I would considered this as a hope but you can also ruin your winning money into something else that goes very fast

there is also commented people in Instagram reel he just make 1 deposit play slot and win big after that he withdraw it all but never touch the slot again.

The person may use his winnings to start his dream business, and focus on it. If he is really mature in his business, of course his business trips and busy schedule will forget him from gambling.

This is indeed good and I could call it disciplined and structured, where we are required to be careful in managing gambling funds because we have a goal. Don't be careless in betting, because if we can't control ourselves and our main goal then we will just waste money for nothing. I'm sure there are many stories of big wins where they used the money for positive things, but there are also those who used it ridiculously until they fell into poverty. This is what needs to be changed so that the winner is still able to use the winning money wisely.

If a gambler win a big amount of money and uses that money wisely, that's a good thing but many gamblers don't use their money wisely and this is the reason they return back to gambling. When you're an addicted gambler, it doesn't matter how much you win as you'll always go back to gambling. Some gamblers spend all their money they won from gambling still gambling or on things that won't be useful to them as they believe they can always win another money.

This is just one example of an individual using his money wisely but we have many others that aren't using their money wisely. Gambling can restore hopes for individual that have lost hope and don't know where their next meal will come from but gambling can also end the hopes of a gambler as he losses everything he has to gambling due to not having a disciplined mindset and not being careful with money.

In this case, it was clear that this big win was a lifesaver for him, helping him get back on his feet, seemingly like winning the lottery. Very few big winners are able to preserve their money and use it to reinvest for practical purposes such as business. He has control over his emotions and greed. Whether gambling is good or bad depends on the player. If you can control it well, this can be a place that gives you opportunities to change your life, on the contrary, it will be a grave for those who are greedy and emotionally controlled by it.

I understand that it is not easy to do this, but I think you make it easy if you have a proper understanding of gambling such as "gambling is a probability activity" with this I think you are less likely to apply greed for something bigger because you understand that this victory is generated because you are lucky, and on the other hand as we know that anyone will never know when he will be lucky. So of course allocating the winnings to something useful is a good idea rather than going back to gambling and regretting it all again.
This was a wise move as he transformed his luck through his understanding, which was his main profession. This unexpected stroke of luck was seen as an opportunity, and it is not an exaggeration to say that it was gambling that gave him a new chance to start afresh. But I am afraid that he will return to gambling someday in the future as he continues to struggle with the thought that he will win just like today.

There are times when proceeds from gambling can really go a long way helping the winner fix up a few things in their lives and especially for the smart ones who would make sure to use such money for something reasonable knowing it doesn't come all the time and so when ever it does it should be used wisely.

Gambling proceeds can sometimes help us fix up things we couldn't have been able to raise such money and fix within such short period of time and at that point the proceeds turns out to become a life saver but this is mostly seen when used most wisely and not just to go party hard or reinvesting I'm to gambling due to greed with the hope of getting it even bigger this time and may sadly end up loosing it all back to the casino. Gambling isn't that bad as been portrayed but can be used usefully to our own advantage.
This context will only happen to those gamblers who are responsible and can wisely use their winnings, of course not all gamblers can make good decisions when they win because on the other hand most gamblers use their winnings only as additional capital to bet again.
But for those professional gamblers who really have good mindset, they will always withdraw a certain amount of money from each win and use it for more useful things such as investing.
Moreover, instilling an attitude and mindset like this is very difficult to do, especially for beginner gamblers who still enjoy the pleasure with the ambition of winning big, they will only spend more money on gambling.

Mindset and behavioral habits are the determinants of being able to do all of this.
If gamblers still have the mindset of chasing victory and have the habit of behaving only to satisfy their desire to gamble then they will never be able to make good use of their winnings.
I have found many gamblers who always think winning is additional capital to bet and get bigger wins, they always do the same thing every time they win.
Giving direction to gamblers who have this mindset is very difficult because they do it according to their own wishes and they won't care what we talk about.

There are many cases that proves that winning in gambling helped them a lot in their lives today. Many have experienced the development of their lives because of gambling. In reality, gambling really helps our fellow man especially if we win a large amount of money but we still have to be careful because it has a side effect that is not good for a person, just like being addicted to it.

Actually if people really knew how to handle their money properly, they wouldn't end up being broke, I think their lives would improve even more if they used everything they won from gambling correctly. Just like in your post, He got the lost bus back to him right after he won, it just means that his mind was focused on good things when he won gambling, rather than prioritizing other luxuries.

Stories like this will certainly inspire but hopefully not make people think of gambling as a way to change finances because this is a dangerous mindset because not all gamblers will face the same reality, maybe even the percentage is not up to 10% of those who can make a big profit from gambling, so just be inspired without changing the way we gamble because everyone has different limits.
Unfortunately, I think this mindset is quite prevalent, especially for those who have problems with gambling addiction. It is pretty similar to the narrative that investing in crypto is going to magically make you a millionaire, without telling the risk or people just ignore it because they believe they are the chosen one. It is quite hard to prevent it since some people really want to feel special. I guess everyone needs to re-assess the risk of doing something outside of their risk profile once in a while, especially if they are dealing with a life-changing amount of money to do so. It is better to regret making just 10% profit instead of facing nearly -90% loss of capital due to debt, etc.

It's like a fairy tale where he can quickly recover his condition because of unexpected things, but of the many gamblers with various types of gambling, only a few can make life-changing results, even if focusing on good bankroll management is not a guarantee of being able to make a profit. which if continued to be collected can be used to buy something that can provide passive income to us.

It seems magical that every gambler will always feel happy when others win. Perhaps that is a way of knowing that you are involved in a business that can change your life and also renewing hope that it will be your turn soon.

I know many people who have had their lives transformed through gambling. This is not social media hype, gambling have touched a lot of lives and still changing many. One just need a bit of luck and planning too because both work together. The planning is important so one does not develop gambling habits that will damage his life before the big win comes.

Most people that have only bad things to say about gambling are probably not into gambling or were failed gamblers. Even though the chances of failing in gambling is high, some people are still able to scale through and achieve great success in gambling.

That is a wise gambler because he knows that the bus will fetch him more money every day. This guy is just like the direct opposite to a guy that won $200 on Monday this week and used to to replay gamble and finished the money before leaving the place and he was sad that the money he won was use to play gamble again. That is unwise gambler. One thing people don't understand in this gambling is that, you don't have to play gamble when you win a game. Take the money and go home and relax for sometimes. Then think of what to do with the money and not to gamble at that time.

At least the bus will help for all the money has lost in gambling. He is a responsible Gambler.

There are things like this that only gambling can provide.
For many gamblers, even those who play responsibly, the most they can achieve will be many days of excitement "losing money" but having fun, and in fact that should be the main purpose of those who gamble.

However, a few will always get a big prize unexpectedly. Unfortunately, of those few, there are even fewer who use this earned value wisely.
It is necessary to use this value, or most of it, to invest in other achievements.... be it a long-awaited material good or a long-term investment. But many bettors are greedy and keep betting with the money they won, and lose it all again.

I agree with you. Of truth, gambling has impacted positivity in the lives of a lot of persons. It is worrisome when people tend to paint gambling so bad without considering that it is a life safer. Gambling is something capable of changing a story and bringing someone out of poverty in a twinkle of an eye. Interestingly, it is the belief that gambling can turn life overnight that makes it difficult for people to give up on gambling no matter the amount lost.

However, whether or not a person uses the money won from gamble in a good venture depends on the individual. But then, it is often encouraged to put money won in gambling to good use because winning is not guaranteed all the time.

What about those who did not win still? Will it just be hope for life? The only instance we could say gambling restored our hope is simply once we experienced winning and with the same extent, not all people have won in lotteries or have won jackpot prizes in casinos. It just depends on your fate as a gambler and that is a variable no one has control.

That type of hope could be depressing. Waiting on gambling and constantly playing, hoping for that big win till there isn’t any money to play with again. That’s not hope in my book.
Not everyone is lucky and as gambling is majorly more of luck than anything else needed to win, it’s of no use putting your hopes on being lucky enough to win at gambling. You’re more likely to get your hopes crushed repeatedly than getting lucky enough to win a huge sum. That’s if you don’t go broke first.
If you do start up on having those kind of hopes with gambling and having those kind of plans on building a business when you do win big in gambling then better think not. Why?
You are really just that putting yourself at great trouble and this is why it would really be that best that you should really know on whats the risks of gambling and its never
been that worth for you to think about on how to make a business out of those gambling wins. You should really be that realistic and you should really be that sensible on what things that could be
applied and which it not. Gambling is really just that for leisure and fun and not something that could fulfill your wishes, this is why it would be better that you should really know
on what you are doing.

I agree that seeing people win so much money that they can change their lives does give you a good feeling and makes you happy for that person. And perhaps it brings a hopeful feeling to somebody who also wants to someday live a better life without their current financial problems.

But there is a difference between hoping on a unrealistic event (like winning a lot of money with gambling) and a realistic event (like finding a really high paying job). I do not think that unrealistic events should be put on your life-goals list. Neither should you advise other people to do so. Otherwise you will be disappointed realistically. Grin
