It depends from country to country, some cancel all sports events, and some go the opposite way, for example UK:

The Premier League plays tomorrow, the first day after Christmas:
https://stake.com/sports/soccer/england/premier-league

In horse racing, tomorrow is the biggest day, with a record 11 tracks hosting races compared to 4-5 on a normal day

So more than a choice of the gambler it's also a choice of what you have to bet on ti at all in the first place.

As a gambler that's into sports betting I prefer to gamble during the holidays because I take it as a source of entertainment and it's also very relaxing to do this during the holidays when I'm not working or occupied. Gambling during the holidays for me is also more preferable to me because I can do this comfortably without any form of pressure or duress. This is the best way to gamble for someone that gambles on sports, it requires a lot of time to analyze and strategize when it comes to sports betting so the holidays is the best time for this, well , everyone has their preference.

First of all wishing you all a merry Christmas! Hope you all have a delightful holiday. We know that during the holidays, festivities are always felt in the environment. Do gamblers use gambling as a celebration or do gamblers use this time to take some time off and rest? Do gamblers have lots of money dedicated for the holidays? Or due to celebration gamblers do not have a lot of money to spend anymore?

What are your general traditions when it comed to gambling during the holidays? It would be interesting to see different perspectives

On my case, I just wanted to do gambling on holidays when I got and extra funds after spending on important things for Christmas anf new year celebration. Overall, I would still put priority budget on the top 1 on my list and gambling was only the second option to have. Responsible gambler won't inline this activity to a celebration, because it can be done on other occasions.

And for a gambler, this is dangerous because he is not distracted by full-time work, if there is one.

I’m on the opposite side of what you believe because I feel like gambling while at work or when you’re not fully focused on it will likely lead to losses, not only that, but your work could also suffer, and your productivity might go down.

That’s why I think it’s fine to gamble during the holiday season when there’s more free time, because after all, holidays are for fun, and as long as we gamble responsibly, it shouldn’t ruin the special moments of the season. Keep it balanced and make sure it stays a part of the enjoyment, not a source of stress.

It's really up to you. After you have gifted all your loved ones and friends and you are done with all the festivities, you can go online to play. This is the benefit of playing online during holidays; you can do it anytime, anywhere.
The most important thing is that you celebrated the holiday with your loved ones. You can play before retiring just to keep up with your game.

I think that holidays are the most dangerous time for a gambler. And in the country where I live, people rest for many days after Christmas. And for a gambler, this is dangerous because he is not distracted by full-time work, if there is one. And also, as a rule, everyone is given a holiday bonus for the holidays, which can easily become a deposit for a problem gambler. Also, the belief in a miracle during this great holiday time has a very strong influence. Therefore, holidays are definitely a temptation for any player who is overly passionate about gambling or betting.

Those people who have a certain addiction to gambling will play at any time of the year. For them, their interests always come first, and conversations about gifts for loved ones are of no interest. But those people who play periodically, without going crazy about it, will skillfully manage both their time and their funds, understanding that holidays rarely happen, and gambling is always available. Those who know how to manage their capital will always find time for both.
You are right. Some most irresponsible gamblers would not even care about what adorable moments it could be spending their spare times with families and loved ones and are likely not to have budgets for the festive season but all their interests despites the festive is just focused on gambling desperately chasing the profits onto addiction habits.

Definitely we hope to some of those victims expressing their regrets to how they lavished their funds on gambling and was adamant from spending times with relatives but all down to gambling.

I will gamble on the holidays just like any other weekend or any other gambling day regardless of what time of year it is. For me one of the biggest games that’s played on Christmas is NFL football and being that NFL football is the number one sport that I bet then I’m certainly more active during Christmas time probably than I and the rest of the year

Since you are a sports bettor I think you will not heavily affected of your gambling results because you can control your bet properly compared when playing casino games like slot games, live games and other luck based game that typically can make gambler to rage bet.

On sports betting, you don’t have any follow up bets once the match that you preferred to watch was already over.

I have an almost bad experience gambling during holidays but become lucky in the end to survive potential loss.

What are your general traditions when it comed to gambling during the holidays? It would be interesting to see different perspectives
What's certain is that I don't know how everyone thinks. Personally, holidays or Christmas are happy moments when I'm with my family, that's a moment that I do or that happens once a year, so I won't waste it, For more than 11 months you have been working and for more than 11 months you have opened your eyes in a gambling house, two or three weeks you have been near loved ones and loved ones, there is no harm in forgetting the world of gambling for a moment.

Gambling can be opened anytime and anywhere, games can also be played anytime and anywhere, while we are still in this world gambling still exists, but relatives, family and family moments do not last in this world forever, While you have a family you love, spend a moment of your time and soul during the holidays & Christmas for them, don't gamble, gamble, gamble on your mind.
During the holidays, I usually choose to spend time with my family. As you said, we have a lot of time to gamble and it can be done anywhere and anytime. Well, sometimes we are in one house, usually our time is also limited because of the work we do, I mean our time with family is limited. So to enjoy the atmosphere more, I personally prefer to fill my time by playing with my family. We can gamble at another time, and I don't think we will have a full month of vacation like this. But it comes back to each of us, because actually it's okay to gamble during the holidays.

A couple of my old workmates went to a hotel just to visit the casino in it lol. That's part of the vacation that they gave themselves to so imo, 100% gamblers STILL gamble even during holidays. In the first place gambling isn't really a job anyway, so there is no reason to use holidays to take some "time off or rest" for it.

Personally though I don't really gamble during the holidays. Not that I consider it as "rest" from it, I just in general don't want to. Might be because I move from and to so often during these times from place to place as part of the vacation?

As for me, it has always been gamble for fun and what you can afford to loss. During the holidays, such as this, I make out budget for family expenses and it is all for family purposes for which funds are spent on and I just put up my own little budget for gambling if I have that much left for it otherwise, I just maintain my calmness and relax as it would not bother me much as it is that we are in for Christmas which is just once in a while and gambling is mostly every week for me so it would not too bother me if I do not gamble the holiday.  Lucky enough, if a casino I play with do give me a bonus, I do with it and have my fun for the holidays.

Personally yes. Because most casinos often roll out more generous offers during holidays, like better bonuses, reduced wagering requirements, and exciting promotions. It’s a smart move to take advantage of these offers since they’re typically better than what’s available on regular days. Just make sure to check the terms and conditions to fully understand the requirements.

Like in shuffle.com. Just check their telegram channel you can earn like 100$ for 12 codes they drop everyday you just need to reach specific wager requirement to eligibility for the code.

Merry Christmas OP and to all forum users. Honestly no one would want their holiday be ruin by gambling sites in a time like this. It should not be advisable to go to casino for playing or anything else online. Christmas is something we should be celebrated with family and enjoy on talks and eating food.

Gambling is good way of enjoying but for me its only good during time when you are not in an official holiday.

In my case I am not addicted to gambling, that I have to gamble on holidays. I usually work in a private company, so today is a holiday. So I spent time with family today, took my wife for a walk. I also gamble occasionally, but sports bets are my favorite. I don't like casino games so much because here I lose more than I win. However, today is a holiday so almost all football, cricket matches are stopped today. So I have no interest in gambling today. Happy holidays.

Give me an honest answer, who really gambles on Christmas? And I am so exhausted from guests, helping to cook and running there and back to the shop. I barely have time to read some crypto news, forum and to scroll a bit my social media just to see how friends are celebrating. Frankly, I do not even have much wish to gamble. Instead I would better spend some an hour sleeping or laying on the bed. Could easily gamble on my phone, but I can suddenly be asked to do something or assist, so I wont get much fun from playing Grin I would better wait till weekend.

Do gamblers use gambling as a celebration or do gamblers use this time to take some time off and rest?
If a gambler does not have time to gamble during holiday which is very possible, no need to gamble. But for a gambler that have time and feel like gambling, while not just gamble. People are different from one another and we are occupied with different events this time but there are some gamblers that will still gamble and some will not gamble this time.
You are absolutely correct that is the real truth about it because most gamblers have engage their self in so many activities this holiday so they have no time to play gambling, while people that have a enough time can play gambling wherever they are. Because normally there is no time you cannot play gambling Allex you don't have a enough chance where you are if not despite the holidays season I think people that have time for their self can also gamble and have fun.

I never change my gambling schedule and always see certain conditions. I mean when the holidays come, I spend more time with my family than gambling. Although vacation time is used for fun, as a gambler who already has a family, he will definitely prioritize his family over gambling which only provides his own pleasure.
And the conclusion is just to keep gambling but family remains the main priority.
