I don't know how much I trust this study. If you are only collecting data from a small sample size you can make a study say whatever you want. Discrimination by casinos against LGBT people doesn't seem like it's a widespread issue. Casinos don't care about your sexual orientation as long as they can take your money.

Online casinos offer many benefits such as privacy and convenience. They singled out LGBT people but this is probably the preferred option for the general population as well.

Agreed, in the study mentioned by @noormcs5 conducted by Dr Reece Bush-Evans and YGAM, they didn't mention the sample from the population as a whole so we don't know whether this research was conducted in groups with large populations or not.

I have read the article and the article states that " 71% of the interviewed LGBTQ+ adults admitted that they had experienced some form of discrimination or harassment in their life " and not in the casino Cheesy. Where's the percentage of LGBTQ+ who prefer to gamble online rather than going to a casino? nothing, so, we can conclude that people prefer to play at online casinos because of the convenience it offers.

No, you don't need to be sad about them but it's only a normal trait of some people. There are people who are shy or insecure about their selves. I think some of these LGBTQ+ are like that. Maybe they advance think that people inside the casino will judge them. Not only inside the casino actually but on almost any place they will go. You know the people, they always like to tease others when they think they are a little different.

But, LGBTQ+ right now have been accepted by the public so the members of those group should not be afraid to hang out in different establishments. Casino has no gender restrictions, just age although playing online has other benefits so maybe this was also the reason on why some of them prefers it.
There is no need to be ashamed of who they are because the main attraction is ourselves. LGBTQ qualities can be inherited or passed down through generations, and we all have the freedom to act whatever we want. What we are is openly displayed to society, and it can either be destructive or good to us. Gambling has no restrictions on these LGBTQ folks; the only restriction is when you gamble under the age of majority or violate their terms and conditions; only then will a gambler be denied access to some vital services. Gambling have no boundaries or set of discrimination, they only strive for their profits.

There are people who are making their living collecting this data, which most people won't find it useful or meaningful. But this data may be very useful for the persons belonging to the social welfare and stuff.  Based on the data these people develop some rules and moral values and teach society if they found discriminatory behavior among certain people.

Since no one is LGBTQ here, so we do not care about whatever issues are faced by LGBTQ. Perhaps some can think about these people and society treat them as normal human beings in every aspect of life including gambling.

Through online you can even use different names or identity in which where most gambling platforms having difficulty with.
Most of centralized casino write in their terms of service where the gambler need to use real name, identity etc and not the fake one. If someone input fake name or fake identity, when the casino ask your KYC, you will have a problem because your personal information is different with your information in the casino's account.

I think there's no discrimination in online casino, they will act fair and don't care about your appearance.

Recently research was held by Dr Reece Bush-Evans who told that online gambling could Hide the sexuality of the LGBTQ+ people and most of these people prefer online gambling as compared to physical gambling for obvious reasons.

The more important concern for the LGBTQ+ people is that they are being treated differently in a casino which may come under harassment. Also, the study says that people at the casino, the staff plus the public have shown discriminatory behavior towards these people.

New Research Explores Effect of Gambling on LGBTQ+ People

It's simply how they cope. Discrimination is true not only in gender but by different means. It could be by race, color, or social status. It is sad that it almost become normal as society tolerates those things. That is why being in an online server could be an advantage for some because you can have the option not to tell more about yourself. Even if it gone through verification or KYC those discrimination lessens because it just happened online.

Participants are not judged and treated differently directly. So no hard feelings for them. Through online you can even use different names or identity in which where most gambling platforms having difficulty with.

maybe in certain states that don't approve of LGBT people might continue to discriminate even in a physical casino. because people view LGBT very negatively or for me it's disgusting but if that person enters a casino without knowing whether he is LGBT or not I think everything is fine except if someone who is already known to be LGBT will definitely be treated unpleasantly at the casino.

this online casino or crypto casino is a way out for those who are LGBT to escape discrimination. so it's not surprising that maybe many people of the same sex, not only LGBT+, but maybe lesbians are also in online gambling to keep gambling without discrimination or bad treatment from other people.
What is needed in this case is mutual understanding. LGBT people also want to experience gambling in a physical casino and can play gambling in the casino and experience gambling without anyone knowing if they are LGBT. And it depends on how they behave towards other people because if they are good at hiding it, I don't think other people will know the truth either and the presence of LGBT in the casino is also not a problem for everyone.

And online casinos are indeed a way out for those who are LGBT and also for people who may not feel comfortable visiting casinos to gamble. And they and we should be grateful that we can use online casinos and play gambling at home without going to a physical casino.

The world is not a Barbie world. It's cruel that their dads don't like them being gay. But believe it or not, people vote for gay people and you can see there are gay actors and politicians, they are welcome as much as straights. But if they notice something is not good, take a hint that's the advice to take.

Sure, they can gamble in traditional casinos as much as in online casinos. But just be wary. What else do the LGBTQ want that the world hasn't given when they can marry each other already they can even adopt a kid. Are people suppose to be afraid of them?

This community has been facing discrimination and cruelty for a long time now. It is really hard for children where parents are unsupportive and hate them for being themselves. That I understand but what about the left trying to make this issue look so bad now? The sympathy that they gained earlier has now dried down and their struggle will fade away unless such research papers are stopped. The hate against this community can be seen in the US where two big companies are suffering for their woke advertisement. Those sitting at the top do not understand the problem faced by this community.

But that might happen because discrimination occurs in many countries so when LBGT people come to a physical casino, they get unpleasant treatment from people who also go to the casino or even the casino staff.

So LGBT people feel that if they play at an online casino, they can hide their identity and play gambling in peace and comfort. Everyone who plays gambling wants peace and comfort, so they will look for casinos to provide that. And we feel that too as crypto gamblers who want to find crypto casinos that can provide that.

Of course the major support of the online gambling would be from the LGBTQ gamblers especially for people living in countries like mine which has zero tolerance to LGBTQ and the embarrassment and abuse by people would not even allow them to visit local casinos or betting shops, therefore betting online has made it easier for them to enjoy gambling without any discrimination or backlash from people because it doesn't reveal their identity or gender to others

Currently there are some countries that's accepted the LGBTQ community and given them the right to operate freely including visiting various casinos without being discriminated by others so if you're a member of the LGBTQ community and you happen to be born or find yourself in a country where people don't tolerate your kind to avoid embarrassment or being put abused when you visit casinos it's either you relocate to another country where you have freedom or continue using online casino to gamble at the comfort of your home, to avoid overthinking when gambling In casinos with a poor state of mind which could cause negative effect like wrong choices in predictions or depression.

First time I am hearing about that issue, it's quite sad if people are too afraid to visit a real casino and only play online. Hopefully there will be some punishments for the physical casinos that treat LGBTQ+ people differently, same goes for the employees. In my opinion we are all the same, everybody wants to have a good time and for the casino it shouldn't really matter who is placing their bets and who wins in their house. I would have thought that the casino is more interested in having a larger number of visitors to make a higher profit. This is another great example of the benefit of online gambling over the traditional casinos, there is no racism or treating people differently for their believes. Personally, I prefer online gambling anyways more than visiting my local casino, because its more comfortable. I don't have to drive to so far, can stay in my home, have a snack when I want and can take breaks and watch a movie if I am too tired.

It is quite sad to see even people here, in the bitcointalk forum where you are already in the high tech world for people who are usually young and more developed and smart to be able to do crypto trading, end up showing so much hatred towards them, just look at this topic, and see some people who has shown so much hatred towards them and we can easily say online gambling is much better for them but also for us as well because I wouldn't want to be gambling near a person who is filled with this much hate neither, even if that hate wasn't towards me, it's still hate and I rather stay away from that if possible.

At the end of the day, they are just normal people just like any of us and I wish them the best of luck on their gambling.
You can't help it, you will find people like this almost everywhere, even online where there is no physical contact or appearance, so people who can see others and their physical appearance somewhere outside like a land-based casino or something will surely show hatred that they have been raised with, I say that because someone who has been raised with love and care tends to have the same feelings for everyone else, but the opposite happens when you have been raised with hatred.

A person, regardless of their appearance, status, cast, gender, or anything specific, is allowed or should be allowed to gamble as there is basically no discrimination of any kind in gambling whether it's done online or done in a physical or land-based casino, everyone should be allowed to gamble.

I would not say that it is specially surprising, since in this forum and in the gambling section we can find both people from open-minded and tolerant societies and also people who come from societies which are highly intolerant towards others who may have a different sexual preferences from them. It is a matter of fact that on the internet, does not matter how far you go, there will always be users who have a contrary point of view.

Besides, Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as a whole have been turning into technological tools which are not relegated to gambling and tech-savvy people only. People from older generations in developing countries have found Bitcoin to be useful to preserve their money, even if they do not share the values of personal freedom which are often associated with this ecosystem.

Yes, this is why you would really be expecting that responses would really be entirely be different to each other because each person does have their own perspective about in these genders on which

some would be welcoming and not really that an issue and some wont really be tolerating or doesnt really like at all and this is why its not shocking that they would really be giving out those words
which arent really that good to hear at but well we do have that freedom on telling our opinion since this is a forum after all on which it would really be just that right that you should really be that
have no limits on telling on what you do have in mind in regarding into this topic. On this judgmental kind of society then we do really have different kind of approach on certain conditions similar as this
but so far i havent heard off on a establishment who would really be that prohibiting for those people to get inside just because of its gender.

I guess that's just the curse of having an open channel to voice out your opinions and all that, but in my opinion just cause it's happening doesn't mean that it's normal. Not trying to be PC here but people on the spectrum are genuine human beings with feelings and sentience, sometimes more than us that are cisgender lol, so the least we could do is to reciprocate respect if given to us you know. I've had friends in the LGBTQ+ group tell me that they are mostly prejudiced in the crypto scene, with most of them made fun of in live events and all that all because of how they present themselves, same goes with casinos which is the main topic of this discussion anyway. This is just saddening to say the least and I would keep on saying it, that just because a lot of people do it doesn't mean it's normal and we should condone it.

Well, I mean if you have been on the internet long enough you could tell that people behaving that way has been quite common, I recall it was very mundane to see it back in the 2000's, today the respect for people who are different from one has increased and we are more aware about their existence.

You say that in the context of casinos, sport bettings and in general it should not be considered to be normal, I disagree though, before tackling a situation we must first admit and realize how serious or widespread it is and in my opinion this is the normality in many internet and irl communities, however it does not mean it is what it is supposed to be happening if we seek to reach more peace and acceptation. I also have had friends within the LGBT community, btw.

Since this is based on research, it means that it has enough data to back up its claim.

The acceptance towards the LGBTQ+ community depends on what type of country you belong to and where specifically. The culture and tradition of a place varies from one another. For instance, there are countries who are conservative and aren't liberated enough to embrace the LGBTQ community due to various reasons such as religion, traditions, and the likes. Living in a place like that, if you are a member of LGBTQ community, then most likely you'll prefer to gamble in the comforts of your home with convenience, and without the fear of being harassed or assaulted because of your gender. Whether we like to admit it or not, there are really places that still persecutes the non-binary. There are places and people that aren't open with the idea yet, so they don't tolerate such. And of course, for safety reasons, you have to keep a low profile.

It's the sad reality for the LGBTQ+. There are still unsafe places for them since not everyone is as welcoming and kind as others who are knowledgeable and open-minded. Good thing is that there are many online gambling sites nowadays, whether it is crypto gambling site or a normal currency gambling sites. There are a lot to choose from and they can play at ease without being judged inside their house.

Not intending to judge or anything, but isn't it a risk when someone goes against the norms in society to get that thing? like these LGBTQ+ people. They want to melt into society when they understand that most people today do not accept their presence. I'm not someone who is against LGBTQ+,but when they get treatment like that from society, they should understand that most people today don't accept their existence. And rather than protesting, maybe it would be better if they could move to a place that accepts them or maybe they could build their own LGBTQ+ friendly casino platform or circle.
It is true, however, that LGBTQ+ people are at odds with society's restrictive laws. Because of which your people are the victims of the most unrest towards them. LGBTQ+ people see such behavior and understand that the society is impatient with their behavior towards them. An LGBTQ+ person can never participate in a good place in society, everyone shuns them. But it is true that the casino platform is a reliable and acceptable place for them to develop LGBTQ+ friendly relationships with others. But there are some LGBTQ+ people who behave well in society and they get respect among people and those people should be respected.
