I personal like both, it kind of depends on whether I am in the mood for wanting to get results fast or I am in the mood to get some strategic moves before knowing whether I earned or lost money with my choices.
You know, there are some afternoons one, as a a gambler, does not desire to think too much, but rather just to press some buttons and see the results, it usually happens when I feel tired. It is the same sensation which leads people to lie down and watch youtube Videos, instead playing games on their computer and consoles.
On the other hand, if I feel fresh and will have some strength in my body so I can use my head to process some strategy , then I go for blackjack or poker (though my poker skills are very rusty right now) for a couple of hours or until I have reached by wager threshold.

I have seen gamblers on the internet who are completely dedicated to poker and playing against other people, due to them believing slots, dices, plinko and similar high paced games will only lead to losses, while strategic games which involve cards are more likely to bring money to them, if they have the right technique and deceit skills. In the end of the day, it is a personal preference...

The fastest gamble to show show results is the type that's easy for someone to get addicted to, because the gamblers who is addicted to gamble are always troubled to win and they also loves gambles that ends quickly.

I think you can get addicted from gambling games and the duration of the games do not matter.
I know a few people who are so addiction to sports betting and they will try to bet on most of the games. Here we know that sports bet results take a long time because it depends upon the duration of the match.

So it does not matter if the bet/gambling results are known within a few minutes to seconds or take a few hours, if you like gambling and doing it frequently, you will become addicted to it one day.

It depends on my mood but regardless of how I feel, I like the long process games like poker or sports betting because you have the chance to cashout your bet or stand up in poker if a cash out is available, unlike slots where once you click spin, you can't do anything to stop it.

Besides that, short processes games mean there's chance you could lose your bankroll also in a short amount of time.
But when it comes to the reason for gambling addiction based on my experience, it's really because of short process games like slots.

Sports betting takes some time before one will see the results of the games, so I will consider those that have a long process. I am a regular sports bettor and usually like to enjoy the games as I wait for the final scores. I also play slots mostly when major leagues in Europe have ended. I do like both fast and a bit slower game, it will depend on my own mood when it comes to my gambling session.
When I have a long free time then I may play game like poker but if my gambling time is just short, I'll play quick game such as slot and plinko.
When it comes to addiction, IMO it is not about which game we are playing but it will always depending on how we deal with our gambling habit.

My game preferences varies based on my gambling goal. I use quick results game when my goal is to accumulate wager safely for VIP experience purposes.

I use the slow game such as card games when I want to enjoy gambling during my free time without considering the wager volume. Based on my experience, it’s very hard to become addicted on quick result game because your session will be quick to end.
