Actually, there are thoughts from gamblers regarding the small consecutive wins they get. Of course, it is related to satisfaction from the results won. The satisfaction of each gambler is different, we cannot see it as greed but some gamblers will only be satisfied and decide to play enough when they get a big win. So before getting this, they will continue the game even if the bet is a change from winning to losing. most won't stop betting until they get a satisfying win or their money runs out. This is a situation we often encounter.
I think we have to make a distinction between complacency and greed. If a gambler plays with big stakes, and spends his savings to get a big win, I think it can be called greed. If the big win in question is by sticking to a predetermined budget, then that cannot be called greed. So I think we cannot justify the attitude of a gambler who spends his money and even goes into debt just because he thinks a big win is his satisfaction. I think it can be called gambling addiction and it has justified itself.
Well, you are right, but then, to make this more understandable, we all know that in gambling, it is possible to win big amount of money from small bets, and it's also possible to win big from big bets as well, it all depends on the odds the game came with and the level of risk the gambler is willing to take, as we all know that the higher the odds of a game, the higher to potential amount to be won, and also the higher the risk of losing.
Now, those who take higher risk to potentially win higher amount of money from a small bets, do we call them greedy?
What about those who stake really big amount of money on games with quite a small odds, which means their chances of winning is high, and their potential winning amount is high as well due to the amount of money they put on the line, do will call this ones greedy?
I think it's a prettt difficult question to answer, because when it comes to determining who's greedy and who's not in gambling, there are several factors to consider and put in check.
