I mean, when you are in that moment it's like your brain is blank and all you want to do is get back whatever amount you had lost from the gambling site.
Chasing losses is part of the game and there are times when a gambler can get lucky and be successful at making it a tie against the house. There are better endings where suddenly a gambler would receive a max multiplier from chasing his losses and the only question that remains is if he have the courage to step out, withdraw the money, and enjoy the profits. Or, will he continue on and us e the profits to gamble it more and try his luck? I think that's where it all goes wrong when we are trying to be greedy for more.
It's true what you said, even when they get lucky they can continue gambling more aggressively, what's more, it's possible that they think they're lucky so they keep gambling to get even bigger wins. It's very rare for gamblers to be able to act wisely when they get their victory, at moments like that they forget their limits because they are lulled by the victory they have obtained. It's not surprising that many people squander the winnings they've got just because they want to get more than what they've already got.
Application. I think that's the keyword to be a responsible gambler.
How are we going to apply what we are planning has always been a problem for most gamblers. Most of the time we step out of line because we either want more or we are chasing our losses.
Both are wrong and yet that's the only way we will know what the future is. That's why I said there are gamblers who had been successful with chasing their losses after they suddenly hit a big multiplier that would tie their losses and some more.
Still, I want to set the amount of money that I want to gamble for the day and if ever I use it all up then it's time to rest. We should know our limits especially if we cannot afford what we are about to lose anymore. Don't repeat the same mistake in just one day. Take a deep breath or sleep it through.
