It's different for other people. There are families that you would never want to spend time with, even though they are your family. There are even some people that have no one to call as family. I don't think a prayer group would help since the problem is within you. It's in your mindset. Your so-called God wouldn't be able to help you. On the other hand, counselling would surely help since it's one of the most effective ways to control your thinking and eventually be able to halt your addiction.

There are many other ways to become less addicted to gambling. Family, I think, is the most suitable methods to all of us. However, if your family does not open their heart to listen and sympathize about what you have been through, you can choose other ways such as finding new hobbies. Sports is the best doctor for who get addicted to gambling.

I think the problem of addiction must be eliminated rather than thinking gambling as a sickness. It's our negligence that make us define gambling as sickness but if we are just doing it responsibly, we will never gonna regret why we play gambling, instead we will be thankful because it gives us entertainment.

its still not sickness but its a bad habit that the man have and its should be a problem to solve. i would say that if we are having no control of gambling, its because our psychological mind can not think that gambling is a bad thing that we should stay away and we need to quit as fast as possible. and i am agree that you said that man is need a self rehabilitation and counseling with psychiatrist.

The truth is, your mind is fully aware that gambling is bad for you. Right from the start, it already know that. Even before the first time that you held a card, you're already aware with all the sad stories about gambling. You lost control of gambling because your mind has become dependent on it. It has become a habit that's pretty hard to get rid of.

Counselling would only help if you are willing for it to work. Otherwise, you'll end up losing money from all the sessions that you do with your psychiatrist. I'd totally recommend attending one of the many sessions people with addiction has instead of solving the problem at hand all by yourself.

well if people here will not deny the fact you are completely correct for most gamblers they really looking for the earnings not only to have some fun but seeing the bets on a winning status is very exciting for sure no one wants to see our money being burned so for sure everyone wants to earn from this.

Indeed I am correct, even the richest person in the world wll not be happy in losing their money just for the sake of nothing. There is no fun in gambling especially when you cant win so instead of trying to get fun from losing there are some better things that people could do and people just wont admit the fact that they play to get something in return

I agree , gambling is just a game but it is very addictive , it is just like other online games Like Dota 2 , League of legends , CSGO etch. Many people is addicted on that game and some experts says that when you are addicted you have some disease I dont remember the name of it. Its just like your addicted on gambling.

It will only be a disease if it will make us lose more money that we cannot afford anymore and as a result we are not living a normal life like the way we live before we enter into a gambling, such addiction can change our lifestyle as when addicted we are more focus on gambling than our productive things. It's a sickness for all who does not carefully manage themselves but it's a complete entertainment for the responsible one.

I wonder when sin become sickness? You can commit sin yet you are healthy while, you can be in bed of sickness yet you did not commit sin. See the difference there. And gambling as long as you don't have impulse control-disorder is considered healthy because it can refresh your mind and be able to be productive in your work the next day.
