its really bad when you start losing everything you have and you keep thinking about it, wrecking your life and putting away everything that you have because of that addiction i think you are correct it is not a sickness that you need to take medicines but an habit that is needed to be removed inside your mind.

i know some people like you might will just deny on this statement saying gambling are just a sickness , you just gamble for the sake of fun and in the name of skills only for most regular poker player. still people like you have less number than people who think gambling are a sickness.

Then if you don't think that gambling addiction is not a sickness then you can consider that as worst than syndrome. I guess that is the most supreme type of sickness.

But there are also good types of addiction in gambling if you are making it your living then that is not sickness because it makes you to survive a day.

Just like those professional poker players they are competing in tournaments and earning millions of dollars.

That's right but this would only be applicable for those who are only addicted to gambling which means that gambling it self is not a sickness. Same with other addictions like drugs, drugs alone isn't a sickness in fact it is use to cure a sick person but when people abuses it then they will be sick instead.

True, there are many drugs that are used to treat different diseases and when used appropriately, those drugs help people, but when they are abused by the people and are used for something besides the reasons they were created then that is the moment a problem like drug addiction appears.

You don't need doctors if you are addicted into gambling, what you need is that you need psychiatrist and other psychology experts to help you from being an addicted person into gambling. And for me the best physician for this type of sickness is God, you need to ask Him to help you to be healed out of that gambling sickness.

Exactly, and mostly an addicted person do not want to be treated because they never admitted to themselves that they are addicted, they just keep on thinking that they can manage the situation and they are big enough to that they know what they are doing, only the family can help I guess.

Gambling is for fun. When you are not planning to be a professional gambler and spend most of your time gambling, then just play it for fun, period! Otherwise, your life will really be a miserable. Why? because the odds will always be against in your favor especially when you are just new to gambling and you don't have some good approach and strategies when gambling.

In short if you dont have strong self control and a strong self awareness then for sure you would easily get hooked into gambling addiction and its not really easy to get away with this thing especially when you are already engage on playing gambling on daily basis thats why its somehow a sickness.

Gambling for me is a good experience where we earn or we lose money in a bit of minute but i considered it the most about risking money and destroying our lives not sure about this but everyone lose in the long run of playing gambling and it make them so much addicted on it.

But if you get addicted to gambling, you will lose control of yourself. That is what is bad with it and what it makes like a sickness. The negative effects of gambling addiction is too much. Maybe gambling is okay if done sparingly. But too much of it is bad and can be considered a sickness.

Addiction is what he is saying as a sickness once you get in an addiction you will surely lose your control it is like a tatrum which cannot be easy to stop once you are exposed on it for long time and if you would stop it will bring anything that is not normal .
