When you are suffering by gambling addictions, you are making losses to your wealth as well as mental health. When there is a problem for our waelth or to mental health then it will reflect in our day-to-day life, which is more dangerous. The root cause is addiction which is must be a sickness.

I only gamble when I am feeling bored or want to wind down after a long week of work. I do most of my bets during the weekend when a lot of the higher leagues football games are happening. Gambling can be a recreational thing if done right and not be a sickness as you say. I bet small amounts and have fun every time no matter if I am losing or winning.

Unfortunately, most of the gamblers can be grouped into the "first" player you said. Many gamblers are those who cannot control themselves in gambling. Most of them actually thinks that they have control over themselves but in reality, they don't. After gambling and losing a bit, they'd go like "I'll just gamble a few more so I can win back my loss" and continue on and on until they have nothing left.

This is sickness for those who considered gambling a serious venture whose addicted to it, but for those who treat this as an entertainment this is fun. I am saying this base on my experience, I have been betting in sports for almost half a decade now, lost substantial amount but I am happy because I treat them as entertainment.

yeah I agree with you I often meet and be friends with someone of players who gamble just to make fun he came out and went gambling with ease. without the compulsion to continue gambling if he does not want to gamble then he is not gambling. and when he had no money of course he's not going to gamble. unlike the addict who always impose to continue to gamble.

Yes but not some people all most all people will come road because of huge loss. Only some people will get profit here. Only the people who have luck they will make some profit here that's it. For this we can't say Gambling is sickness actually it's our badluck that's it.

Lol being addicted to gambling is a sickness and yeah luck affect gamblers too especially when they thought that they just had bad luck whenever they and tried another time to test their luck and do it again and again. And they finally became addicted to gambling without them even knowing.

Gambling is risky game of money from which most people lose and just a few wins. Gambling too is addictive and fun especially when you're winning and that's why most people can't get away from gambling once they get in it.
In gambling you only win from the start then you lose whenever you win a certain amount.

It should be consider a sickness,the way people are addicted to it is like a drug. These people who are addicted to gambling have all won some money at the casino and they all want to have that feeling again. So they keep going.

At last someone is on my side here.. And that's my point gambling is like marijuana from which when someone gets addicted to it, it's hard to get out of it..

And we all know that this is simply not true. And it is only a popular belief of people who have no idea how gambling works.

I think he is just mentioning beginner's luck but you are correct, it is not true that new comers always win. There maybe a chance that beginner's maybe a bit luckier than the regulars but I don't think they will always win. I was once a beginner too but I lost bigtime that time.

I do think we can consider gambling as a sickness but this is also pretty logical, if you are really addicted to gambling it can let you do all kind of things, its almost the same as drugs in my eyes.
People are losing everything because of it, their friends and family, their belongings and with belongings I mean everything from their clothes till there house.
Some people will even because of the sickness be homeless at the end of the story.

you got the first part wrong, i think if someone is in control of his gambling habits meaning that he can manage the money that he is spending on gambling (gambling limited with small amount) then it is not an addiction but a wise choice of actions.

Correct, it just ruins everyone's life not because it's a sickness, but we get sick on our own decisions because we decide to gamble based on either recovering what we lose or trying to make even more of what we have already made...
Gambling is sickness when you lose control on yourself, unless it's a fun if you do it as fun...
