A sickness? Gambling is a habit, not a disease. If you consider all addictions a disease, almost EVERYBODY would be considered sick and ill. Think about what you're addicted to in life. What increases your dopamine levels?

I fully agree with you, some people get addicted on car`s and top speed also, but when they lose they die. In gamblin u stay without money ( if u didn`t borrow from mafia).
Gambling is already a part of life. Everytime you make actions you are gambling what would be the outcome. Gambling is risk. Wha is no normal is the form of gambling that you choose to make inyour money. Gambling addiction is what can be considered as an illness.

i sometimes feel like this too. but then again it is not exactly gambling that is a sickness, it is the gambling addiction that becomes a sickness.
or better said it is the people who are using gambling as a way of living are doing it wrong because they are losing their money everyday. but not those who gamble for fun from time to time.

i have read all comment, ok i think the same, the sickness is addiction of gambling, but how many people, later one or more lose game, don't love get another time? This is addiction and i think all, later lose, have this 
It's not sickness. everyone should be aware to play only with money you dont care if you lose it. But if you're playing with your savings, then god help you.
Not gambling , gambling addiction is. Greedy people that can't resist betting again and again are the one who is mentally ill. Don't blame everything on gambling, it was made for entertainment and not for you to earn money

if you win only at start , learn to quit at the start too. but that is not true the winning at the start part not the quitting, because winning is up to your luck not how long you have played

You are right o the point with this. Yes Gambling is a risky game but I don't think gambling itself should be considered as a sickness. Some people only gamble for fun as for me. You should know that gambling is not only in forms of betting on money. Gambling can also be in our way of life in like if you are making a decision in wether you will go or not to a party evwn if your parents don't allow you to go. Just like how a person will be addicted in drugs, gambling also gives a person that feeling of euphoria when winning which basically is the main reason why people get addicted in it. Once you got hit with euphoria, you will not notice that you are already on a loosing streak since your brain is expecting to get a win again.Quote

No, i dont think that people who are involved into the gambling are sick. There may be exceptions but most of the people know what are they doing. Addiction is different thing and sickness is different thing.

Well, i agree with you. That's why you need to control yourself when do gambling. Some people can't control himself for gambling and the end people complaining about gambling.
