So I think it's really a stupid and ridiculous mindset if you gamble to chase a win that depends on how lucky you are. As the OP wrote "gamble with caution" it's because the negative impacts outweigh the positive opportunities that you think are enough, and if you don't care and don't pay attention to this understanding then obviously I doubt you will be able to come to your senses quickly. Therefore, since this activity is only about luck, it is better to emphasize or apply a lot of restrictions to save, after all, if you are lucky then you will also be able to win even if you don't gamble too often.

Sticking with your set plan mostly being dominated by emotions, even those experienced gamblers can agree that there's still time that they lost their control and they exceed from their set targets, but the only good thing from those wise gamblers even in some events they made a mistake they can accept the loss and move forward.

If you have that same attitude as you care with your finances chances that you'll not going to lose a lot is possible, you can let it go after making that mistake and re-try what you originally setup as your strategy and limitations .
