Many people do gamble casually. When I used to play Dota, there were sites that allowed you to bet your ingame items on pro league matches. It looked like some childish way to gamble, but these items could be quickly sold for fiat money on steam and some were quite valuable, so people were betting the equivalent of 10-100 € every time. I'm sure that it's still popular.

This is more common nowadays now that there are pvp games available in smartphones. I've been part of groups that held competition to who will be the games winner. Not sure if this is considered gambling tho even if it involves money. It's actually nice to do it since it's more like a skill game than a probably fair game compared when you are gambling in casinos.
I agree and mobile games are just like the same things with the competitiveness of a player. I have played Mobile Legends and I have a team that are very supportive of each other and we grow together. I know there are competitions held in that specific game and there's a grand prize. That's what we aim to be and we all know that having money as the wager would really improve your gameplay.

Some people don't consider mobile games as games, but it's almost the same concept, letting people play together, PVP and it's just a different console. I have started taking advantage of my phone in order to get back my investment on it. I just wanted to earn from it. I think the best games are the skill-based games.

We've done it when I was in College, it was a 5v5 game but the bet isn't that high since we are friends. Just enough to pay for computer rent. This is more like a friendly match and not a gambling match coz it's more in entertainment and doesn't think too much about the bet. We've done it not just in one game, but in different games as well.
What game were you guys playing in College? Probably it was Warcraft? You had a lot of players then and I remember doing that as well with matching snacks to treat us after the game. Having a friendly match is not bad also, it's a way to practice your gameplay and not be too competitive, but I think you need the pressure in the game to have a better performance.

Only with typical sports like basketball. When the great age when computers are expensive enough and people only play games outside their homes, basketball is one of an amazing part of my childhood where people in our community keeps on playing it from morning until evening. Its already part of the community's daily routine where a basketball match has come always with a bet.

Yeah, I miss those days thay we are covered with sweat being punished and always being scolded by our parents saying that we are all focused on playing and using our money to play and it will not give us great things in the future.

They might be right but that is part of childhood. I even bet something when my classmates are throwing stones at a sign. We bet whoever hit the sign will be taking all of our snacks, someone did and we are called at our baranggay for that.
Those days are good to cherish and unlike today's children, they will never understand what real happiness is. Well this is getting off topic now. Any simple games before can be applied with gambling, whether the bet is money, clothes, or anything which is childish thing and all we do is to enjoy the company of both parties. But now we've grown up and getting older lol all we want is money.
I don't think that they don't understand real happiness, it's just the same happiness, it's an emotional state, it's just that it's different now compared to before. I haven't tried betting clothes, especially the things we are currently playing but that would be fun. I only experienced strip poker lately, not when I was a kid. We all need money but we shouldn't be always about money, there's a difference.

Usually it's informal kind of gambling type that usually being held by community, college, etc
IMO, these kind for gambling type have less demand so it's unpopular gambling type that want to be include on bitcoin gambling site.

But if we talk about E-sport, they have a chance for example clash royale or clash of clan war competition that reward in BTC
Hmm, what informal kind are you talking about? Not being regulated but still enjoyable? Or just some spontaneous game you and your friends from college manage to do. I think those kinds of gambling games is really for entertainment, nothing else. Maybe it's only known for a circle of friends.

I have played those games and I'm only up to arena 6 or 7, I think. It would be awesome since it has 2v2 mode now. More possible profit.

It's either your friendship is of the highest level or you and your friends are very wealthy people. If a friend lost to me $200 I'm pretty sure we would stop being friends after that. There's even a saying where I live, if you want to ruin a friendship allow money be involved in the relationship. At first, after reading your reply I even started thinking on giving $0.01 value to the chips with "1" written on them, but then I remembered the saying.
It's probably our friendship are at the highest level, winning $200 from someone is a great thing (for the winner) but my friends wouldn't approve that kind of amount. It's like being in business right? It's hard to be involved with someone you already have a relationship with and money is almost what everyone wants, which is not a good thing.

No, it's not a drinking game, if you are asking about what I wrote. A bottle of wine/whiskey/rum serves as a prize for those who won the competition. I meant that the winner doesn't take it home, but rather shares it with those who lost, and everyone is happy. Smiley Actually I wouldn't recommend playing drinking games to anyone because excessive amounts of alcohol can be very bad for your health.
I think when it's wine, they say it has blood-related benefits, where it can strengthen blood flow or something. Something of too much would really be bad. lol.

There are a lot of chances that people can gamble, like when you try a drinking game, where you watch a movie, and you are going to drink when that character do a specific thing or something like that. I have done that, and it's entertaining but it's not that common to do anymore

I have a lot of multiplayer games in my PS4, like Tekken, UFC, Injustice, etc. My friends and I don't go to competitions, but we make our own, we start betting stuff or sometimes just money with whoever who wins the bracket.

Has anyone made a simple competition with friends and won a lot of money? Or something out of the ordinary, instead of playing in the casino but still having the chance to earn money. Share your thoughts.

Hey yes I used to do it with my friends and sometimes with total strangers, we used to play counter strike back then and sometimes we gambled within our inner circle, and at times when we met new people we pitched them the idea and they joined in. When we were indoors we used to gamble on Fifa games on ps2 and Ps3, but those was back in the past now we stick to sports or casino bets. As for the money we made I won't call it a fortune, let's just say extra income to keep one going.
I always play dice and poker games for gambling. I think these two are simple games for gambling. Mostly I play dice game because it needs no experience and depends on luck only. Game time is also short and you can play many games in very short time. Poker takes some time and also needs experience because of bluffing. Good bluffer can win the game easily.

I do play poker with my friends but it's always with plastic poker chips and never with real money. Imo playing with real money with friends is a lose-lose situation, especially if big money involved. I mean, if you win the money you lose your friends, and if you lose money ... well, you lose money, and that's a bad thing.

But there's also another kind of competition, apart from poker. For example, when we are talking about movies and one guy/girl is saying that it's this actress starring there and someone else is saying it's another one, things like that, and then we are making bets about that, and like a bottle of wine or a bottle of rum should be bought by the loser ... But then we dink it together anyway.
What I have done when playing poker with friends is that we exchange it for real value, like a $1 chip would be considered as a real dollar, just like in the casinos and we all agree that it's real money so the stake is really high, no one of us wants to lose. Fortunately, we didn't lose the friendship that we had and it's just competitive gameplay one game after the other.

I did with subway surfers  Grin which is not a hard game but not easy to make high scores, but I did that in somewhat and won few bucks from my friends who bet between us to reach a new high score in a time period and honestly I am still at the high score on that game even after many years now.
Am I thinking of the right game? The one on the phone? I remember playing that and competing with some of my friends. It always going to get hard as long as you play it, the longer the game the faster it is right? I think it is a great mobile game, still is, but I haven't thought of it to be waging something there. I just brag about it whenever I was in the high score board.

Yes, there are some chances that my relatives and friends try to play games with a bet and most of the time we play cards at home and not in the casinos, and I am winning some little amounts, we are just having fun actually and not to win huge money because we all know that we have all our limitations. hahaha LOL
Everyone that has some knowledge of playing card games has the chance to gamble with money, it's just a proven fact in my opinion. My friends and I want to start a poker night and just for fun with money. I think not everyone is willing to wager money in anything, they are not risk takers.

Yes, I did this, we bet money on the game to guess the top score in a tournament. We call the game "BOMBER" very pleasant. We play this game on PlayStation2. Grin
Once I tried to gamble with my friends when we are playing the game on PlayStation2. We use money as a bet, and if someone can win the game, then he can take all of the money. We really enjoy to play the game especially if we can win the game, we can get that money. But in other time, we only play the game without using money and the bet changes. Who can be the winner, he can get all he wants in that day without any delay.
Hmm, I haven't played on a multitap before, was it, four players? I'm thinking of Bomberman, as in the one you leave bombs and just making yourself strong in the game by collecting powerups and something. That's also a great game, it's not easy to play with humans, but at that time, the bots are really easy. What kind of things the winner wants that you have experienced?

I think I have saw a few websites in the past that allows a gamer to purchase a tournament slot with an entry fees in order to take part in a small tournament held on the website daily, and the players would play against each other until the winner is determine in the final round, the winner will be able to win a large portion of the total prize money which are the combined entry fees from all other participants.
It's like escrowing the funds in a certain tournament slot then scheduling the time of games. I think it would really be a good business idea to host something like that. In the end, after giving the major prizes, consolation prizes, venue, etc the organizer would still profit just from the entry fees itself.

There are many times I did that kind of bet, the most common one is playing sport, either its badminton or futsal, usually there will be a pot and winner takes all, its not much but it increase the fun and the seriousness of playing the game and back when I was in high school we like to play coin toss and the winner win the coin, I played a lot of this mini bet for fun and I seldom won, so it can be said that I am losing money from this mini bet
I'm not very familiar with futsal but I did a few searches on the internet and it is just like soccer (pardon me for not knowing). For badminton, I have played it too, sometimes competitively with friends, but I'm not that pro. Sometimes it involves waging money to buy food after every tournament we had. For the coin toss, that's going to be a quick and easy profit if you are lucky.

For me that was the idea of this post also, it's like an extra income that is not coming from my parents pocket (when I was still a young student) that wants to do something for myself. That's the time I learned that when you are really good at something, you have to take advantage of it. It was fun but it's totally different now especially that most of our circle of friends are working.

I have only done this once with friends and it can be pretty interesting but it was soccer. FIFA 18, and then we decided to just go the betting style. Men, it was like a thug of war, the adrenaline rush, it was really crazy and fun at the same time.

The most important thing is to see it as fun, but the thing with the money part of it is that, that motivation to win is something that would always make you to want to try your best, but sometimes, asides the skills in playing, luck too can really be a case some times.

Do your remember or you play PES soccer? I played that with friends a lot, really a lot. 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 with miltitab, like 4 or 8 of us we make a little competition, each of us give some money and first place takes all. We start in the evening and play until the early hours next day, all night we bet against individual games, nothing big sometimes not even in money, in who will do something if they lose. That was like that until I "grow up". Now I don`t have so much free time like i had 10 years ago when I was younger, without wife and kids. now I gamble online because its open always, and when I have time I just gamble, with friends its hard to meet this days. when I can they can, when they can I can`t.
Missing those old days huh? Cry

I am also missing those old days when I was young I play those kind of games with friends but now it is hard to get the spare time in our busy life that is why we opt for online gamblig now a days but in my opinion those games with friends are more entertained than current form of betting even the amount was low at those time.

How to not miss them? Like you are saying, that was entertainment, nothing can come close to that this days. We played tekken, mortal combat, boxing, need for speed, other driving games, but mostly we played soccer. That times will never return, carefree times, it was nice to win, but it was all about fun and spending good time with friends, always with some beers and snacks. Sadly new generations will never know that, dota, counter strike, lol, other online games are good, but there is something with hanging out with friends, talking, having fun, new generations will not feel that.
