I am currently working on a new sorting algorithm. It is faster than the previous algo with a substantially reduced LDS footprint.
Now the name of the game is, "How to take the fullest advantage of the fast shared memory?"
If I am to identify one major weakness in the original design of SA, it is inefficient use of shared memory.
For example, it relies too heavily on the L1 and L2 caches for memory reads.
It would be interesting to write up on my experience of the current rewrite once it is complete.

I don't get why they hate AMD so much, I don't hate NV, in fact if NV was cheaper i would buy them but that's not why i buy AMD because of price, I like AMD products more I all ways have but price is why i don't buy NV not hate . Great! I switched to 16.04 and amdgpu-pro but performance is the same on r9 390 ...even lowered ~160S/s

If I can squeeze two wavefronts on one CU with NR_ROWS_LOG=12 on RX 480,
I should finally be able to get to the promised land.

Oh, we will eventually get there.
I haven't even touched PTX and a profiler for GTX 1060.
There is also plenty of room for optimizations as far as shared memory usage is concerned.

Nope not free, you still pay the nicehash pool fees as this is the only pool you can use it at. Plus your at their mercy on what you are mining and only get btc in return. No thanks , if i am mining eth I want eth, if I am mining zec then I want zec. Give the guy some time, he seems to be working hard to get this really pumping!!!

It's not "free" because you are force and locked at one specific pool where they dictate what u get.
