There is a lot of details that need to be worked out if you want to do something like that. A single date is too specific, you need to use date ranges probably. What constitutes an arrest? If he's arrested for domestic violence or DUI, does that count? How do we know if the arrest is real, what is the source to verify that? What is the deadline and what happens if there is no arrest by then? Etc.

Isn't "cash flow" a euphemism for "we're broke as a joke but need to dump a few XPY to retain Dan because SEC"?
Otherwise I don't know why someone would even bring it up like that. He's certainly concerned about not getting paid and for a good reason.
Josh then pays him up front to underpin his commitment.

Anyone who has raised children knows about the "why?" stage right after they start to talk and get in a mode of saying "Why?" to everything you say, not understanding what you said in the first place and not being able to comprehend in the slightest your answers. No matter what you say they respond with "Why?".
