I haven't seen practical flying cars yet, but I've seen lots of other first-generation technologies be displaced by competitors that offered real innovations. It's inevitable.
I just gave you an example that it's evitable (why the fuck does Firefox squiggle this if it's in Merriam-Webster?). Certainly not all technologies NEED to fade, and certainly not "the sooner the better". Only if there is an actual benefit to that kind of transition. I can't possibly know if that's really inevitable for Bitcoin and neither can you.
