Here's the latest.   He has a new lawyer.  https://hashtalk.org/topic/30624/status-of-paybase

Thanks for sharing this. Waiting on the response from GAW. They claim they were able to take the information we published and get "facts" from the SEC and further information. We will see what the response they post is.

I was told by my source they contacted our "supposed source" from the tweets published while our Twitter was compromised. This is a very interesting facet as she wasn't our source and doesn't have the relevant information to the investigation. I'll be curious to see if she is named at any point as she was NOT our source.

Here is how Mr.Garza chose to address the Hashlet termination:

@JAmboo said: I'm sorry but was this announcement before or after Zencloud being disabled? I think we need a post about that instead.
@GAWCEO: @Coffee4XPY answered it well. https://hashtalk.org/topic/30585/zencloud-cloud-mining-disabled/2

@Coffee4XPY's post he's referring to is this:

Quote
With Bitcoin under $300, it's a waste of time and electricity. Not to mention a HUGE waste of natural resources.
The other option would be keep it running, and with maintenance fees, we would end up owing GAW money.

Which is of course not correct, because Genesis is/was still profitable after fees. I wonder what his new law firm thinks about taking away customers' property without as much as a notification or an explanation.

Somebody here should call them Monday. Josh is probably lying.... AGAIN.
Josh says this: "We hired Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP 2 weeks ago"
Reality probably is: "We filled out the contact form on their website & clicked submit 2 weeks ago"

haha that made me laugh. and is most likely the truth Cheesy

hopefully CoinFire will make an FOIA request to the SEC when the probe is over & release all the documents
i think it costs some money to file tho

Those schmucks over on Hashtalk still think they will be getting the terms of the Buyback & it will be launching on Monday. What a bunch of fools. I can't wait until Monday, this should be really funny.

Some of the most glaring holes in that newest post:

They retained the law firm two weeks ago despite claiming regulatory compliance for months.
https://twitter.com/gawceo/status/540571411132473344
https://hashtalk.org/topic/24296

Coinfire has nothing to do with compliance, just put it there to please the crowd.

Regulatory requirements are not new, that's why real companies worked for months on it, not two weeks. He's now twisting it to say that some big names are doing it wrong and he's doing it right.

Oh brother. This guy just never quits with his scam. Everyone over on Hashtalk is all like "Oooooh, thanks you Josh!", "You are so great Josh", like a bunch of pre-teen girls at a Bieber concert. Unbelievable. This is obviously the setup for a delay in announcing the terms for & beginning the Buyback Program. Oh, my favorite part of Josh's post is "we will have a response to Coinfire shortly". But, but, I thought Coinfire was flat out lying, spreading FUD? I guess not. I wish someone would arrest this guy already, it's just getting beyond ridiculous now.

This is bizarre (i.e. nothing new). Mr.Garza is avoiding to address the hashlet termination issue, but looks like he's suggesting to expect delays with Paybase features and is blaming regulators. Also takes the opportunity to kick Coinfire and some unnamed baddies in the industry. Refers to facts, which reminds me of this (hint: never happened):

I wrote this in a separate post, but figured I would repost it here:

To the outside, I know it seems like nothing is happening.

The regulatory landscape has changed night and day the last month. Just about every major company is dealing with it, not just us.

Every feature we get ready to launch, we end up waiting on approval. We have done more "waiting" in the last few weeks then the start of the company, and there will be more waiting in the future.

The issue is that the rules and regulations are not well defined in this industry, it makes it difficult to navigate.

The good news is we retained Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP about two weeks ago, and they are helping us through the regulatory progress. The are one of the best legal firms in the country.

For example, we will have a response to Coinfire shortly, they helped us get the facts. They are helping with the Honors program, the features we are waiting on approval, etc.

We have some of the best talent in the country working with us to make sure we do it right.

Quote
The landscape has changed. Its no longer about features working, its about it passing the legal entities that govern the industry.

Quote
And thats the issues. SOOOOO many people have done things wrong, and now we are all paying for it.

We have had a replacement prepared for weeks. We are still waiting on the approval to launch.

I wrote what we are doing in the OP. We are following the guidelines set and doing things correctly.

Are there are a TON of companies not operating correctly, some big named companies will soon be fined and even shut down.

https://hashtalk.org/topic/30585/zencloud-cloud-mining-disabled/101

Not that he cares about people getting ripped off, after all he is just a mod to help pay the bills and doesn't care about ethics.

This post makes me laugh though...

Having read the white paper and read the original CCN XPY article (my effort at due diligence), I participated in the POW phase and have since hoped that despite what I've been reading here (I arrived late), there might still be a reasonable possibility that XPY might come through (if only via development take-over).  However, I've finally given up and transferred my forty coin stake to Cryptsy for hopeful sale!  Fingers crossed that the market survives a few months longer to help people such as myself to get out.

So he sold these just a few months ago. Always Profitable, Yours Forever, Obsolete Proof, Declining Costs.
How do they just shut them down like this? Oh, excuse me, they aren't shut down, they just aren't mining for customers anymore.
What a blatant fraud. In case anyone forgot what Josh was selling just a few short months ago, here is a link to the archive, since it has been deleted from their site: http://web.archive.org/web/20141030211928/http://www.gawminers.com/pages/hashlet

Has anyone that frequents gethashing heard anything new about rootdude releasing that letter from Josh?

Not yet. I think he was collecting signatures or something, not really paying too much attention until he actually publishes it.

Tens of pages ago someone posted that the Garza family home went up for sale - can anyone link that?

It looks like the house was not theirs:

Where is the GAW connection there... or it it another shell front like how GAW apparently also owns/partners with the equally failtastic ZeusMiner.

oneminer.com is GAW's site, it was a way for them to avoid honoring gawminers.com discounts and store credit:

Is GAWMiners.com affiliated with OneMiner.com?
They are not affiliated in any way. No deals can be transferred at any time between the two websites. GAWMiners.com store credit and rewards points are not valid on OneMiner.com and cannot be used toward any purchases at any time.

They showed up almost as soon as Bitmain provided shipping confirmation.

On another subject, Just looked closer at Chad's 4x4. He was seriously banned for dropping a currency nobody uses and politely bowing out with many thanks. He didn't even say anything particularly bad. Screencapped for posterity in case Garza and friends go on a deleting spree again.

LOL, I remember when I was getting my degree in abnormal psych. We used to joke about the number of diagnosed cases of ADHD vs the number of legitimate cases.

We used to say:
"ADHD is the clinical name for shitty parenting."

Just like autism and aspergers are now.

Parents ignore their kids, sit them (and their developing brains) in front of a tv all day which has programming designed to change about every 2 minutes so people keep watching and don't get bored, and suddenly they have a hard time focusing outside of that situation. It isn't hard to understand cause and effect here. Then they see bad grades or attention problems, take them in to the doctor, the doctor wants to get paid so he has to have some sort of billable code for what happened. He can't say "look, you're a shitty parent," so they throw the kid under one of the convenient spectrum disorders.

Example - both of my nephews were diagnosed with aspergers. Their parents literally work all day, come home, and play video games. If they try to interact with their parents, the parents scream at them, so they sit and watch tv. That's their day. That's the level of interaction. They live in the middle of the woods so the kids can't associate with other kids. They just parrot back what they hear on tv, so they have next to no ability to interact with other kids. I don't associate with that part of my family anymore.

ADHD, Autism, and Aspergers DO exist, but the vast majority of the cases are because parents didn't want to interact with their kids. The latest editions of the DSM just make it easier to categorize people under one of those disorders.
Thanks for that, very interesting!

Question is, what does all this have to do with GAW?
