Wasn't before, cute, they're having us provide all the links back to them then locking them up will they clean everything. How stupid is that since everything is archived anyway.

https://archive.today/1D4XK

I fear those original quotes have long since been scrubbed.

Wanna bet that archive.today owner is reading a poorly worded C&D letter right now? Smiley

Please save whatever you can on an encrypted flash drive. Never know what might come in handy.

Could any of this "shredding" be considered as destruction of evidence? Maybe that is a stretch, since they aren't a public company so the CEO isn't under the same level of scrutiny as a Public CEO. At best it seems morally reprehensible to state one thing to pump up your coin to your masses, and the scrub all evidence when the dump hits...

With that said, and you might have been joking, but what is the best way to be archiving this info? If we can't trust archive.today/archive.org, how can we save this data? Any way to scrape the content using CURL or the like, and save it locally? Or would it be best to create a shared google drive (or something) and store the content there?

Save Page As -> Webpage, Complete works quite well in Firefox or Chrome.

Image snapshots on sites like imgur are good too, it would be quite difficult to scrub those without some massive OCR effort.

Also what maildir says:

There is a link to download the archive in .zip, next to where it says PIN THIS.  Just download and save when ever you see an archive.today link.

I don't think there is going to be a lack of incriminating posts, it's more about their ability to weasel out of those claims. But deleting old posts looks like an indication of concern, to say the least.

Be very careful posting crazy accusations. It furthers discredits this topic. This topic began great, valid information and it was kept civil, but for some reason it has become a troll's paradise.

Just because you could not support GAW "all the way back in July" doesn't mean that others did not. I am good friends with most of the resellers and I am fairly confident they are not able to see the future.

I don't think making your entrance with words like "troll" is helpful here. But I get what you're saying. I was mostly talking to myself in the original thread in August. Very few could have seen this coming, and many still don't.

But this thread is now ballooning 50 pages a day, for better or worse, so using "ignore" should be mandatory by now.

Edit: dekay's nuked again: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/asurreygangster604-408550

Sorry, but I cannot find any other word to describe what "MOB" is.
The thread began civil. Here and there you would see a troll but that was about it. This thread still has the potential to be good, but I think a few users are creating multiple accounts just to further stir it up.

Very, very few people could have seen this coming. GAW began as a very reputable company and was on track to changing Bitcoin for the better, but as of now I think it is fairly obvious that is no longer the case. In my opinion, this is a result of greed and selfishness.

Yes, the ignore button is becoming my friend! Tongue

Perhaps you should go read the original thread to see when exactly I thought GAW was a scam and why. GAW had quite a few red flags with the launching of Hashlets. You are correct though, it was August, not July. I am terrible at time.

My response earlier was, granted, an overreaction to Mad Mac's bland egoism that "basement Colombos" over here are somehow idiots or fools for putting two and two together regarding GAW long before he did.

It seems odd to accuse someone of having multiple accounts when you have a brand new account.

Anyone notice that "Dr." Coates' website is Cryptocause? I know that someone involved in a charity would never skim profits or direct funds to an associate of any sort, that is just pure crazy talk....

I believe Dr. Paul is no longer a part of Crypto cause and has not been a part of it for quite a while.

Wasn´t he collecting for blind dogs or something ? Or was it cats ?

I´m sure his whining and begging got him some crumbs.

Not sure, about the first thing, but all I know is he is not and has not been a part of it for a long time.

The owner is a personal friend of mine and they do some pretty incredible stuff over there.

Yeah, I´m confusing things. Haven´t really been on Hashtalk since October

when i got out of GAW.

What exactly does the new wallet do/fix? See CRYPT0N1TE's last post. VERY concerning. I guess Joe said that wallet is for testing staking problems, but GAW is keeping all those coins and not doing it in testnet? Please explain CRYPT0N1TE's findings and last post here: https://hashtalk.org/topic/27824/new-paycoin-wallet-v0-1-2-26-primenode-staking-interval/79

This guy again  Roll Eyes

You need to tie this in, seems something is missing. Some deft action seems to have taken place all over the internet regarding this particular subject

https://archive.today/PpNwo

Quote
He has also under NDA given me access to info so I could report with ...... Josh mentioned, specifically, Walmart, Amazon, and possibly Target and

Could you tell CCN how negotiations have been with the big retailers you mention and how you connected it all for your customers and theirs?

Quote
1. As for the banks and the mainstream companies our scale, We grew that by helping miners and being part of their ecosystem. This work has allowed us to negotiate these deals that will benefit them all and bring new people into Bitcoin allowing it to be used more and grow again. The banks and companies have seen what we have done and were on board. They know they have to be with us or left behind

Any one recall that Sunday when he was called out of the movie theater he was attending with his wife because one of the partners was furious he had "revealed too much" and had to speak to him?

Lot of shenanigans going on with Josh Garza now trying to cover his tracks.

Let's not leave out the direct response to his sudden change from having Amazon, Walmart and Target on board, to not. Very telling disappointed responses:

https://hashtalk.org/topic/16399/some-thoughts-on-merchant-adoption

Quote
so you dont have amazon, walmart and target lined up to accept hashcoin, bummer

Quote
So, basically, there is no big merchant adoption like the one that has been advertised.

Quote
As an end user, I was already under the assumption that major merchant adoption was in place by previous statements. It now looks to be very different in scope. I would just caution to be very careful in wording you commitments towards your Customer base. Misleading statements will break the trust barrier and it is hard win those folks back into the circle.

Quote
hmmm...I thought you had big merchants ready to go and I thought you had purchased a better name than Hashcoin...im kinda confused at this point...

Perhaps someone today will recognize their own words and step forward and detail what exactly it was they thought or were told or read back then?

Though this childish game with Homero is becoming quite tiresome. Can he not just go away once and for all.

I ended up finding an interesting article out of everything you posted there it shows Josh had this idea for a very long time even the $20.00 per coin deal.

I doubt that drpaul played any part in the GAW scam.

He seemed to be a beggar and a small-time scammer

working on his own.

It's not.

CryptoCause is owned by Corne and "Dr" Cortes is no longer involved.

Yet you stop short of telling us why.

This is a good example of why there is a distrust for certain former mods. Not that I care much, it's just a bit of a pot/kettle situation considering yesterday's discussion here.
