If the problem is no build for release, I can see why people would want someone to build it for them, but it's not that hard to build yourself.

Bullshit. It was hard as crap to build on a Mac. I had to manually patch code, link in static libraries, and do all sorts of crap.

Mac

Worked fine on linux, the master race.

Funny thing is I agree with that, except that I know you're not being serious.

If you use some othernix type shit rip off crashy cache operating environment, why do you expect to get good results when you internet?

However you're missing the point. By not providing decent binaries for end users of the most common environments, Paycoin created a situation where most would be looking for a web wallet, which they conveniently provided. Then they had issues withdrawing from that wallet. Game, set, match on them, especially them who bought in at the top of Mt. Scamerest.

I think it's kind of a stretch to say that was deliberate. Most likely they didn't have anyone to code because so many people left.

So where one would hold paycoins now? At paycoin.com? I have some from faucets there Tongue Tried to download a wallet to my pc but it does not work, some checkpoint errors and does not download full blockchain. Not that I would care much, but just wanted to see how it works compared to bitcoin. And it doesn't work a shit!

You shouldn't have checkpoint errors on the latest version. What version did you use?

Also, even on the older versions, it can sync if you wait (for me it took a few hours).

Nearly 1600 pages in and this guy thinks it's a stretch to assume the majority of the moves which netted the Garza cartel the most money were deliberate and calculated?

I am currently storing all of my paycoin in bitcoin. Works great!

Not only that, it works like an XPY interest-earning account, the longer you hold your XPY in BTC, the more XPY you'd get if you withdraw them back out of the BTC.

I'm pointing to their code because GAW's redirects to it. If you go back, you can see all the commits, including from when gaw controlled it.

http://blog.paybase.com/paybase-creates-an-alliance-with-the-paycoin-foundation/ is dated Feb 24, so let's look at commits before then: https://github.com/PaycoinFoundation/paycoin/commits/809ff126302a3490fdf863b64919ef78189056d4 and https://github.com/PaycoinFoundation/paycoin/tree/809ff126302a3490fdf863b64919ef78189056d4. There are still 113 commits while it was in GAW's control.

It's pretty straight forward on Linux but is is quite hard on Windows, just installing GNU is a pain in the a**.  I was never successful in building a Windows wallet myself (Paycoin or others).

People use the binaries released by the groups in control.

In my view he is correct in saying that nothing was fixed, you couldn't even sync the wallet with the blockchain without restarting it every 500 blocks before the updated version was released the the foundation last week!

No wonder everyone kept using online wallets.. lol

The Scamcoats are coming!

Amazing just how uneducated most of those idiots are about something they have invested heavily in. I read most of that idiocy (my head hurts) and I did not see a single one of them saying that this is a blatant pump to draw Buy Bids up, so those with an endless supply of free coins can get the maximum amount for them without totally tanking the price. The couple of people over there that actually have a slight understanding are like a One Eyed Man in the Land of the Blind. Unfortunately for the blind Paycoiners, these One Eyed men are using their limited vision to lead them over a cliff.

The code is really poorly done, even all the new commits are just fluff. It's like "Woah I totally just fixed up all the spelling errors" wait bro, you forgot that one...

Like this commit

https://github.com/PaycoinFoundation/paycoin/commit/122e27488aae386ec0457ab6902f73a37e82f354

or this one

https://github.com/PaycoinFoundation/paycoin/commit/12ae607909b9908c61798c4c901206b7e1cb47b8

or this one

https://github.com/PaycoinFoundation/paycoin/commit/9a47b43c467a1ac814fce08ac35b7188efb508cc

and this one fixes a bunch of spelling errors, (oops you missed one)

https://github.com/PaycoinFoundation/paycoin/commit/e6a49d580a0f832206946e765e2889ae078f06ea

Hey this one actually fixes their sync problem, funny thing is that they pulled it from my repo Smiley

https://github.com/PaycoinFoundation/paycoin/commit/dee9f830f5474f0da57b6dad230a4dc5b68a037c

Here is the only other one that kinda matters, their Stake Rate change fork (oops spelling errors)

Well... part of the Garza sell was that it was to make paycoin uber-useful for even the cryptocurrency noob and that's why Walmart, Target, etc were busting down his doors to implement it directly into their retail platforms.... hell, even the banks were probably bowing to the grand and glorious Garza!  What's a little compiler fiddling between friends for the sake of a global currency?

What do you mean, the wallet hasn't had any updates since launch? There were a bunch of commits, see https://github.com/PaycoinFoundation/paycoin/commits/master

He means that GAW didn't update the broken wallet since the beginning beside fixing it once when it got stuck during the POW phase.

There may have been commits but no release since January approximately, the foundation got the code not long ago and you're pointing to their commits.  You're just trying to stretch what he said to fit your needs.
