We have several national journalists interested, we've done more research and networking than you can imagine  Cheesy

OK, one last question.. what will you do after the 18th September?
don't you think you are a bit late to the party?

We've done our market research! Our workshops will be pretty full.

Not only do we cover the basics of cryptos, we cover more advanced stuff.

More info here: http://blog.gbcoinfoundation.org/free-gb-coin-workshops/

At the workshops will be £2k mining rigs.

We are not targeting the average Britain, we are focused on those that have an interest in crypto-currencies and then we'll educate them about the benefits. We are in this for the long-term.

If you're only interested in fiat and interest why are you posting on a crypto currency forum?

i'm interested in lots of things, alas, not your presumptions.
Your first two questions relate to fiat and interest, apologies for the presumption. Clearly I have misinterpreted your interests ;-)

yes, because the first thing that the general british public will do is question the coin's comparability with what they already have in their pockets.

so. whilst not trying to target the average brit, you are hosting workshops and offering bounties to 'get the word out'
if your target market really is 'geeks with no social skills' you may find those workshops a tad empty. can we do your workshops via skype?  Cheesy

Most bank accounts have a direct debit feature for recurring payments. For example, for paying netflix a recurring fee for using their service.

Support for automated recurring payments (direct debits);
Etc.

thanks.

There's no PoS in GB Coin but it is something we could consider in the future if there is enough interest and the logic is fully understood.

At the moment, probably less than 1% of the British population have any real knowledge of crypto-currencies. Our main goal is to educate people about cryptos and get them involved. How? Via free workshops and free GB Coins for the students.

It's gonna be fun ride!

ok thanks.
count me in. I appreciate how much work you have put into this and i'm willing to help where I can.
I do see the future of crypto in proof of stake, and I also believe that it has yet to be perfected. So there is a long way to go. However, i won't be mining GB Coin and I don't want the giveaway... happy to play with it on the toy exchanges when it's listed.

best wishes,

we already have a GB coin, it's called The Pound £.
 Cheesy

but OK, i'll take the bait, please elaborate on this;

Support for automated recurring payments (direct debits);
Etc.

also, banks will give us a small interest rate on our £, do you have a proof of stake built into this?
What we all need is a coin that gives interest which is better than the interest a bank will give me on my nice new shiny 12-sided £coin.

Do you have this?

thanks.

This ones better  Wink No central bank, free workshops and 100,000 coin give-away: http://forum.gbcoinfoundation.org/forumdisplay.php/5-The-100-000-Coin-Give-Away!

 Cheesy

yeah, i'm not interested in giveaways, all that tells me is that a coin has a premine.
I want to earn interest on my savings.

I didn't say that your premine was undesirable, I just said that I am not interested in it. I have the right to refuse a giveaway? do I not?
