i went and turned off the hotplug setting and now i see
"Accepted (random number/letters) Diff 11/8 COMPAC 0"

Does the green LED ever flash white?
iIm running unbuntu 16.04 desktop in virtualbox.
I followed the guide posted on page three and seem to be running except for this Err:0
Any tips ?

In few days I should recieve the Stick from bitshopper.de.
Idea is to use it in one of the blackarrow X1's usb (eventually undervolted), and I'm not a linux expert.
Cgminer version is 4.4.2 and the task is controlled by bamc (black arrow manager software) under debian, I don't know if is a good idea to upgrade cgminer 'cause the integration with bamc.
Should I simply go to install bfg to control only GekkoSience miner and let cgminer do only present task with the minion

You might look into a Raspberry PI. Honestly I think it's one of the best way's to control them you have a very low wattage controller for them. You can make a reliable lotto or fun mining machine for the compac's very easily with a LOT of documentation. It is what I have used with a powered USB hub.
I'm not sure your going to find the level of documentation for a X1 I personally have not owned one. As a "not a linux expert." the guides with a RPI I think you will find very helpful to say the least. And there are a ton of projects you can use a RPI for if you ever stop using it for some reason. So not a bad thing to have.
Yep, this is plan B, but it won't be easy control X1 with raspberry. That way I'll have 2 controllers and in best case scenario 1 psu.
X1 has its own rockchip integrated controller and a not so bad psu. So assuming I want to run it, unless its 0,75W/Ghs, I got a controller and psu already powered that could handle the super-stick. I'll however first would give a try

I'm starting to think my little gekko is just getting tired. I just want to play with it and push it as far as it can. Previously it's been upto 300m and ran for a few hours until I tried to up it slightly and then it would only run back at 250m. It's had plenty of cooling on it so that's not a problem.
I've used DLink H7's with Raspis in the last and they've worked like champs, so I agree that your hub probably isn't the problem. My next suggestion would be to check out the voltage and power draw, but you seem like you know more about that than I do.
It could just be the gekko; most of mine run great at 300MHz, but I do have a couple that start getting pretty flaky above 200-225 no matter how I tweak them.I think that's what I've got. She's an early bitshopper one #10000031 and even sidehacks own one is #51. Probably had updated components along the way and run a bit smoother. She's currently running at 225m and she's comfortable. I might buy another one and see how she goes. Maybe a "true" green gekko if I can get one from somewhere.

What kind of USB hub are you using? Raspis are very picky about hubs. They usually only work with USB 2.0 hubs, although the Superbpag 3.0 hubs seem to be the one exception.

Is all this related to the raspi as I have had it upto 275m on Windows with only minor problems.

sounds like you need to turn the voltage pot up just a tad..

If it picks up in cgminer-gekko but doesn't mine (or spits only errors), start turning the voltage knob clockwise to increase the voltage. At some point it should level out. Take a moment to go over the troubleshooting tips in the first post.

About the voltage im not sure exaclly how its set there was a picture at the first coupke of pages with the blue and red lines ive set it as the blue line. I will try to measure it or just set it in between the blue and the red then it should be 0.65v or ill find a way to meassure it all tho stock setup of voltage wasnt as the picture showed i guess if its broken windows woukdnt show it in the devices. I think it should work now

Have you read through the first page of this thread?
BFG doesn't require WinUSB driver, and for the hundredth time 5.4.2 doesn't use hex for the frequency.
The cgminer-gekko Windows download is missing about an 8MB DLL file that can be copied over from a stock cgminer download or elsewhere. That info's in here too.
If your stick is set at 0.5V that means it's broken. It should probably be set more like 0.65V, and the entire adjustment range is from 0.55 to 0.8

Why don´t you use novaks CGminer?
It´s optimized for our Gekkos and works perfectly with Windows 7/8/10 (32/64Bit@32Bit mode)

The Voltage value isn´t relevant for a clockrate about 150MHz,
only at higer frequencies you have to screw up the Vcore.

Downloaded the software i have cgminer gekko from novak but when i run it i get the error "the program was unable to run properly" n then it closes. Atm i am at work when home will post a pic of the Vcore and try to find solution for the error i get. I think its 0x000007 not sure how many zeros.
