You can't. You can try working on it in a post/PM draft and preview it that way,
but in the end, it comes down to working on the live signature most of the times.

Signatures aren't like trust, they are shown below each and every post you make, unless the user got signatures disabled or uses the signature ad block script/similar blocking methods.

How reputable (-> "trusted") the person that leaves such ratings however is, is a totally new, different thing to look onto.

It will save you some time as this little search engine on our forum is a bit "handicapped". Safety reasons dictate not to allow moderators to tinker with trust feedback. Only people directly engaged can moderate their feeds. I think its great and it works!
