Read the stickied threads in this board and if you have any further questions, ask me to unlock your thread so that you can update the OP with a specific question. The current question will turn this thread into a spam heaven for people with a paid signature.

Op, you are fortunate enough that every aspect of info about bitcoin is already covered. There is bitcoin wiki, numerous cryptocurrency portals, forums.
You can find every piece of information you wish for with ease, all you need to is google for it.

It is hard to answer generic question, like: "what should I know" Because we don't know what you already know.
From my experience I can say that learning about bitcoin is never ending process. I thought that I knew much just to realize that it is a tip of the iceberg.

Find a wallet that works for your country.

Don't confuse people. Those kind of "wallets" which are specific for specific countries are not real wallets. Real wallets are Electrum www.electrum.org and Multibit Multibit.org

These wallets can be installed in your desktop and can be used in any country you live without restrictions.

The broadness of this question makes my head spin.  When I first got into this I found a lot of good information via reddit communities.
Learn about blockchains, addresses, security. Find a wallet that works for your country.  Figure out what your goals are with bitcoin.
Links others have posted here are great resources too, I'm sure.

First of all you are welcome and start to read. There are not magic tips but only time to spend and learn. Forum has some very good threads. At first some things about the forum and what are any of the subforums and sections and the terminology which is commonly used. Secondly, a Documentary on Bitcoin and a very useful general thread of bitcoin wallets and a guide how to earn bitcoins . At the same time why not take a look in a collection of papers and journals so that you could find the first paper of satoshi nakamoto and bitcoin genesis. After that you can search anything yourself. These were my tips.

Yes there is: read this section of the forum and you will get a decent idea of Bitcoin is about. You're question is really quite broad.

Inform yourself and if you have questions after, and google or the search function on this forum couldn't help you, post it in this section.
