Well, diff went up almost 20% and the BTC price is still low. Curious to see what will be left of the payments tonight.

Yes things are not looking good for those on the 0.0015 USD contracts like myself.

I have a feeling that today will be the start of the zero payouts and less for those.

These difficulty rises have really caused issues for my contracts not just here but with other providers.

I was planning to invest in Genesis-mining due to positive previews. I have read several posts on this thread and it is confusing to me. Should I just go ahead and invest or should I think of buying my own hardware and join a mining pool?. Am still new in this

Hi Genesis Mining community.

Just to let you know that Ethereum contracts have been very popular and we are now sold out of them.

We will let you know when they are back again.

Genesis Mining.

I was surprised to realize that my payouts from the mining contract have reduced drastically. About a month ago, I was receiving around 0.00075000btc and now am receiving 0.00008000 btc. What could be cause for this drastic drop?
Payouts are in Ether my friend, not btc

I can't believe that I am now receiving 4009  satoshi as payouts from Genesis-Mining. Only a few weeks ago I was receiving 85k satoshi and I have not made any changes to my contract.

I hope genesis mining offers a swap proposal or another good minable coin to keep up the contracts.
Zetacoin is very unpredictible in hashrate and unobotanium should not be high, if it is high something is wrong because the coin sees itself as very exclusive. Like the caviaar under the coins.
I feel a little bit cheated. If i did more homework how the hashrate would evolve i wouldnt buy sha256 hashrate.
What i've heard the block size debate also has a big impact on mining. If they increase it factor 2x no mining on bitcoin is good anymore i fear.
The decision will come this summer at the least. Genesis mining must knew about this. For me it looks like they bet against the costumer with more inside knowledge.

By the way: I think it is a huge advantage to invest in a mining contract soon after new prices are available. Then you can get buy the best hardware at that point in time.

You are probably referring to a Bitcoin contract, right?

The Bitcoin contracts suffer from a relatively low Bitcoin price and because difficulty increased by a huge amount in the last two months. Difficulty before was slowly rising, but the last two months really killed payouts Sad

I certainly did not forsee that Bitcoin difficulty would increase that much, but preferred investing in X11 / Ether for a long time. X11 hashrate is not increasing in such an insane way and the Dash price is doing very well (Ether is even better!).

I wonder if GM has contingency plans in terms of communications and outreach when mass (auto) contract-termination starts occuring. LOL.

Looking at the way the difficulty is climbing (and yet prices are not following suit) Sad sigh....

that explains why i'm earning more from moon faucet per week than my 250gh mining contract from these guys.
Payouts have always been quite low but this week's have been shocking, but at least they're a legit company.
I've already been burned by 2 that turned out not to be

Well... since my SHA256 contract in on life support and nearly dead, I've decided to switch to another SHA256 coin and mine those, which I will then exchange into bitcoins. I'll let you guys know how I'm going periodically. I'll start with UNO. Wish me luck!

I ran my contract details though coinwarz, and it came out saying that mining Zeta is nearly 300% more profitable than bitcoin.

Did I do something wrong? Or is that really true? Anyway, for my calculation, "Watts" was actually my Gh/s, and "$/kWh" was the rate GM charges daily for each GH/S.

Tongue Did something wrong. I have the correct formula: Run your contract hashrate through that, without the electricity fees, then subtract 0.0012 * Hashrate USD in the end. That will be your daily profit in USD, right?  Grin

If your fee is 0.0012 USD per GH/s per day then you need to multiply that by the amount of hashpower you have.

For example if i have 50GH/s at that fee i would need to multiply 0.0012 x 50 to get the fee in total. Then you subtract that. 50GH/s would be 6 US Cents so you detract 6 Cents from the calculated amounts. Just to be safe I would also just check the calculated results with other calculators just to make sure.

How much can UNO can a 51 GH/s SHA256 contract mine per day? Since my contract is nearly dead due to the price of BTC and the diff. rise, I was wondering if I could switch to UNO or ZET mining, and convert my mined coins into BTC?

It will not make a difference as the fee is for the SHA256 hashpower so all you are doing is mining another SHA 256 coin and the fee you pay each day is not just for mining Bitcoin, it is covering the cost of the mining itself, so your payouts will still be low because they will just remove the fee from the UNO or Zetacoin payouts instead.

So if you look to see how profitable Zetacoin or UNO is and then take away the fee, you will still be left with a little.

What i would do is check a site like coinwarz to see what you can get each day and then detract the fee from it.
