Last season Bayer Leverkusen was in decline and Xabi Alonso came at the right time to save this team by improving and making this team's performance much better.
And at the start of this season, Xabi Alonso has been in the spotlight for many parties for his quite impressive performance with Leverkusen.
It's true that winning the Bundesliga is still very difficult, but at least I think it's very likely that Xabi Alonso will be able to bring the Leverkusen team to be able to compete fiercely at the top of the Bundesliga this season, that's good enough.
I agree with you. Xabi Alonso will indeed be a great coach like other coaches even though he doesn't have much experience as a coach yet, but I'm sure one day he will become a great coach. Because as you have said, Xabi Alonso was able to bring Bayer Leverkusen, which at the start of the season, Leverkusen was almost in the relegation zone, but slowly but surely now Bayer Leverkusen has become one of Bayern Munich's tough competitors. For me, it can be said that Xabi Alanso was successful with Leverkusen.

If you say the Bundesliga is difficult for Xabi Alanso to conquer, I am the opposite. I see that Leverkusen's development has been very drastic under coach Xabi Alanso. If they continue to be consistent, it is not impossible that in football Bayer Munich's dominance will be stopped by Leverkusen.

I really admired Union Berlin's resistance. Because honestly I thought Real Madrid would simply beat them in Santiago Bernabeu. Because there was a big quality difference between these teams. But if Union Berlin can resist them this much in an away game then I wonder what would happen in Germany.

But this would be plain logic of course.  Grin  Until then probably Vinicius would be back as well and Real Madrid would improve their scoring performance more. Because this Real Madrid isn't the one we are used to watch. They are creating many opportunities but there is a problem on finishing.
That was the expectation of majority because I thought so too, but Union Berlin killed and expectation and were very impressive defensive, there performance has shown that they're really good with defense but needs to work on their attacking line and also if they got similar performance from their defense I'm league matches I think it would be quite difficult for most teams to beat them and help push them up the table.

If you noticed Madrid didn't spend on their attacking line this summer and I believe that's one area the board would be seriously considering to work on during the wondow but for now they’ve got to stick with Joselu who's with the  team temporary, however if Joselu doesn't really impress them much I think they might get another attacker on loan by Jan for support.

Union Berlin did very well to defend for a long time. But the problem is Real Madrid is a better team. They will always find one way to win the match. And that's what they did against Union Berlin in the last match.  But I have to give credit to Union Berlin. Only if they were able to hold their nerves till the end. We all know that Real Madrid has a neck of coming in clutch at the last moment of the match.

The next match of Union Berlin is against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga. I think they will be able to win that match, to be honest. I know currently the performance of Hoffenheim has been better compared to Union Berlin. Actually I think that is not going to have too much effect in the next match.

Harry Kane was a perfect and effective player for Tottenham and Bayern Munich tried hard to hire this palyer from Tottenham, they also spent too much money and Kane is earning a good amount of salary for playing in Bayern Munich.
That's why people expect to see perfect performances from this palyer, in fact, the huge money they spend is the reason for these expectations.
Even Harry Kane himself said when you get a good amount of salary and you are an expensive palyer, they expect you to have a better performance, he said that after the game between Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

That's true, they weren't doing all that well and then he came in and made the team so much better. I believe that they are going to end up being a lot better with time as well, we just have to give them some time. It's obvious that the league has four horseman nowadays, compared to just one dominating team.

It used to be only Bayern that got the wins, nowadays we have Leipzig doing fine, Dortmund almost won last year, and now Leverkusen is doing great as well. This is much better for German football, with just one team being great, they do not end up getting that much of a great return from neither viewers nor youth talent. This is why we need to end up with something that would be a lot better on the long term.

Leverkusen's coach is improving the team. I was excited when they equalized against Bayern's late goal. Given Bayern's reputation, that's no easy feat. Wasn't it like a movie plot twist that left you excited and wanting more?
I agree with you about Bayern Munich. Their lead is game over for everyone else. Like a juggernaut, they keep going. For Manchester United to beat them in the Champions League tomorrow, a miracle is needed
Leverkusen has been playing admirably this season, which is fascinating, and Bayern's player caliber is evident. The previous game was an exhilarating rollercoaster, with Bayern coming close to winning. They suffered a minor setback, but they will probably quickly recover and restore first place, especially with the signing of Harry Kane. It's true that their coach is developing them into strong competitors, and I concur that it's difficult to determine who will win this season. Leverkusen performance will be intently watched by Bayern since when they are ahead, they rarely falter. Their strength will be on display when they play Manchester United in the Champions League.

Union Berlin did more of a defensive play, they made it obvious that their strength is mainly in their defense, although their defensive prowess is quite impressive but that was not we all expected of them, we expected a game where the play was supposed to be balance as the both look equal in strength of play going by their records in their various league.
I would say from what i have seen on the preview of the game that Union Berlin was not playing bad and Madrid was just lucky to score in the overtime.
Lose against Madrid with just one goal isnt that bad.

Tomorrow evening there will be the game Stuttgart at home against Darmstadt and i expect if Stuttgart keep playing as the last weekend that they will win.
Hopefully we dont see another surprise from Darmstaddt again as my bet goes for Stuttgart here.

About Union Berlin only playing defensively against Real Madrid, I think it's not a problem either. Because after all, we also have to realize that if Union Berlin plays more openly then obviously, the risk is to lose with a big score. Because after all, Union Berlin does not have better quality than Real Madrid, so it is natural that Union Berlin applies a defensive game. Because yes, at least only in such a way for Union Berlin to succeed and almost hold Real Madrid draw at the Santiago Bernabeu. Obviously that's great.

Regarding the match between Stuttgart against Darmstadt on the next match day in the Bundesliga, I think if you bet on Stuttgart, it is certainly the right choice. Because anyway, based on the available odds it is also clear that Stuttgart is projected to beat Darmstadt in tomorrow match. After all, Darmstadt is also a promoted team this season and even worse, Darmstadt has not started this season well because so far Darmstadt still hasn't gotten a win. Therefore, I think it's only appropriate that Stuttgart are the favorites to win in the home match.

Definitely I am backing Stuttgart too to win. They showed better gameplay when they knocked Bochum and especially Freiburg by 5 goals each in the first and the third rounds.
Darmstadt made a surprising draw vs M'Gladbach. In fact they were leading with 3 goals to 0 before they their performance dropped drastically in the second half and let M'Gladbach recover.
In my opinion, Stuttgart can win this match tomorrow with 2 goals difference.

Maybe it too early for me to speculate this, but at the moment Bayer Leverkusen seems very ready to compete with Bayern Munich, but still Munich will still be the unbeatable giant of the Bundesliga.
At that time we dont know what will happen at the end of this season but in depth these two clubs will be the club that holds Bundesliga title and runner up here but overall Bayern Munich which still deserves to be the leader of the Bundesliga in terms of performance is very clearly different even though yesterday match ended in a draw but its not guarantee that Leverkusen will be able to replace Munich.
Unquestionably, Xabi Alonso has had a significant impact on Bayer Leverkusen, creating in the group a vital feeling of coherence and consistency. They have risen to the top of the Bundesliga standings thanks to their cohesion, and their recent game against Bayern Munich demonstrated their exceptional football ability. Due of Leverkusen continuous constancy and tenacity in this intensely contested league, Bayern Munich may have a hard task in winning the title. With Xabi Alonso at the helm Bayer Leverkusen appears to be in for an outstanding campaign and their recent results raise the possibility that they are about to make football history.

Right, at least Xabi Alonso has managed to make Bayer Leverkusen have a fairly stable performance from last season, and in this season Xabi Alonso is able to maintain that good trend for Bayer Leverkusen. So yes, I personally just want to recognize and appreciate the great work that Xabi Alonso has done for Bayer Leverkusen. But indeed, basically Bayer Leverkusen is also a great team, but before Xabi Alonso became the head coach of Bayer Leverkusen at least Bayer Leverkusen never had a stable performance like what happened in the Xabi Alonso era. Therefore, I personally also do not doubt Bayer Leverkusen in this season of course to be a tight competitor in the title race with Bayern Munich.

Yes, I also admit that Xabi has a big influence on Leverkusen future and it is proven that currently this club has made extraordinary improvements and has very good consistency in every match, even several players also appear according to the tactics given by Xabi.
There is something more important here, although Xabi admits that shifting Bayern munich's position is very difficult. opportunity to try to put in a good performance even though Roma will be a challenger but I am sure Leverkusen is able to compete for the european league title.

On October last year Leverkusen performance was decline and at that time Leverkusen owner has been decide to sacked Gerardo Seoane because under him Leverkusen almost being to relegated and only within 10 months Xabi Alonso has been make Leverkusen to finish at 6th place and they playing at european competition so this is good achievement for Alonso because previously some people doubt he will bringing Leverkusen to avoid relegation zone especially Xabi was lack of experience as a manager

Leverkusen this season has been change became an strong team and Xabi can able to managed Leverkusen performance until week 4 but Xabi personally has been said Bundesliga title isn't his target because he realized it's hard to compete for race title against Bayern Munich so for now he only want to bringing Leverkusen performing well without thinking the title for each week and next match Leverkusen will faced promotion team Heidenheim and this should be became an easy match for Leverkusen and i am sure they will collect 3 points from this match

Xabi Alonso's main priority is to bring Bayer Leverkusen to become champions in the Bundesliga, but if at the end of the season Bayer Leverkusen is rivaled by Bayern Munich with a narrow point gap and only succeeded in being in second place in the standings. Obviously that won't be too bad for Bayer Leverkusen, who last season were only able to finish the season in the Europa League zone, so for this season Bayer Leverkusen has two gaps to get into the UCL.

@Jateng It is definitely a little foolish to expect them to perform at the same level as Bayern Munich. Maybe if Xabi Alonso is the coach of this team for 2/3 more seasons, he will be able to take this team close to the level of Bayern Munich. But even then I doubt that they will actually be able to perform as well as/better than Bayern Munich. But it is good to see that another club has emerged which can give big problems to Bayern Munich. At the same time, it is probably not going to be a good thing to assume that it will happen. Maybe we should wait for a little longer to see how they perform throughout the whole season.
The recent effort of Bayer Leverkusen against Bayern Munich was admirable, and it shows their commitment to competing for the Bundesliga title. Although they have not quite reached Bayern Munich level, their potential to compete against the defending champions is encouraging. The league benefits from this competition because it forces Bayern Munich to uphold their high standards and creates a thrilling title fight. Leverkusen development is encouraging for football fans, and if they keep moving forward, they might eventually start to challenge for the Bundesliga championship. For the time being, Bayern Munich continues to rule, but Leverkusen tenacity is a positive step towards more competitive seasons in the future.
Leverkusen is really coming with new face right now. Im having faith in leverkusen to become the strongest competitor for bayern right now. The draw against bayern away made me feel i have confidence with this club.
We have dortmund as strongest contender to win bundesliga last season but it's failed. We have a new team that will be trying to compete with bayern munchen for the title race.

It will be very interesting to have a new winner this season caused by it's boring to see how bayern has been winning bundesliga for around 11 years. My support is for leverkusen at this moment.
Leverkusen is even more solid compared with last season when the club was still disjointed.

Xabi has been successfully to build the mentality of its players perfectly without any doubt.

@Unknown Op I agree. They actually have a lot of potential. But I think it is important for them that Xabi Alonso is the coach of the squad for a long period of time for them to succeed. Otherwise, I don't think they will actually be able to continue performing well. This is a time when good coaches are very hard to find. And in this time they have found a coach which is really good and also brings them good results.

The problem is the coach is definitely going to be approached by other clubs. And I don’t think he is going to stick around for another season with this club. This is just a process for him to prove that he is a good coach. It is actually not going to be surprising if the team starts performing badly after he leaves.

Bayern's consistency makes me jealous, but Leverkusen's surprises make me excited. Leverkusen could utilize Bayern's focus on the Champions League and Bundesliga to upset them this season. Imagine Bayern fans' faces
Xabi Alonso has proved that he's got a winning mentality both a player and coach, he was very successful with the teams he played for in the past and is gradually becoming a successful coach at Leverkusen and I love how he's transforming the team into one of the strongest Contenders in the league, I thought they would suffer their  first lose this last week when they played Bayern Munich  away from home, but they're yet to be defeated and even secured a draw from the match, thereby continuing their unbeaten run.

If Xabi Alonso maintains this good coaching record for a while I think we'll like see him coaching one of the big teams he's played for, either Realmadrid or Liverpool but I believe he'll make a fine replacement for Jurgen klopp when he leaves Liverpool and being a club legend would make it even more interesting to sign him as Klopp's replacement.

Madrid still have good players just the way they wanted it so it was almost needles buying new players over the summer.Especially their attack line where they have the likes of Vinicius Junior, Lucas Vázquez and Rodrygo still in their best of form, so it was almost needless buying new strikers because who were this new player going to replace of cause none.

Union Berlin did more of a defensive play, they made it obvious that their strength is mainly in their defense, although their defensive prowess is quite impressive but that was not we all expected of them, we expected a game where the play was supposed to be balance as the both look equal in strength of play going by their records in their various league.

They showed lesser strength in both their midfield and attack although they are not known for such weakness in both their defense and attack both in this game they concentrated more strength on their defense, I am optimistic union berlin will do better in their other games both in the UCL and in the bundesliga as they have the capacity for a better performance.

Leverkusen is indeed a good club and its performance is quite convincing this season. but it is true what you say if Bayern is actually still above Leverkusen regarding the ability of its players. In the last match which ended in a draw, Bayern actually had a 2-1 lead. However, it was very unfortunate that at the end of injury time, they made a mistake and were very unlucky. So Leverkusen got the final kick which made it a goal. So it's just a matter of time, I'm sure that Bayern will soon take over the first position again. Moreover, they are really on fire at the moment, and Harry Kane has also made them stronger on the front line.
So far their coach is really doing a good job at the team and has made them to be a strong contending side that are capable of facing any other team in the league I like how they came back to equalize Bayerns late hour goal making them to still retain their position which is the top of the league, I've got no doubt about Bayern Munich toping the league later but currently Leverkusen have proved that they're capable of taking everyone by suprise this season and I'll be shocked to see if they'll win the league  this season.

Bayern Munich would be currently hoping that Bayer Leverkusen carelessly drop some point so it would give then better chances of moving to their preferred position which is the top of the league table, and one thing about them is that when they're toping they barely loose matches and they could destroy Manchester United tomorrow in the Champions league

It's true that Union Berlin defense was very good, Madrid could be said to have won thanks to luck in the last minute. Game statistics can clearly illustrate this, at least Ancelotti squad took 32 shots and dominated the game with 76% ball possession. However, it only succeeded in the added minute, after Valverde final shot failed to be properly anticipated by the Union Berlin goalkeeper, and Bellingham converted it into a goal. Ancelotti admitted that Union defense was very tough, the German representative played a low block strategy quite well.

I realized again that Leonardo Bonucci is still quite good this season, and in that match Bonucci emphasized that he is not finished yet. If Madrid had difficulty beating Union Berlin, Napoli certainly had even more difficulty in group C.

Bayern Munich continues to rule, but Leverkusen tenacity is a positive step towards more competitive seasons in the future.
Last week's draw did show that Leverkusen played better so they were able to balance Munich's game, but I think differently that Munich didn't play fully because it was to maintain the players' stamina and performance to face Manchester United in last night's UCL group stage match, so in my opinion the meeting against Leverkusen I didn't see Munich playing like usual.

Whatever it is, if Leverkusen wants to be a competitor to Munich this season for the title, it seems there is still hope if they continue to play consistently and continue on a winning path or at least play a draw and don't lose points because that will eliminate the opportunity to compete with Munich at the top of the standings. , it seems that Dortmund is not a club to worry about this season, so Munich still has to be careful with Leverkusen.
