It's very true Xabi Alonso is doing a great job at Leverkusen which can be seen by everyone at this time, it is noticed in their style of play, tactics and goals and this is making them look very promising to secure a top spot on the league table even if they don't end up wining the league title, but if they finish first four I think it's a great achievement for Xabi Alonso for a team who had a relatively poor records.

I agree with you very strongly on your point that Xabi Alonso should keep a deaf ear to the media as their comparison will only bring complacency upon them if given much attention, he should rather focus more on improvement and keeping the team ahead in their game as that will be the only way to get better. The media will always play their part, but their judgement shouldn't be prioritized.

I'm very optimistic Alonso will be a better coach as compared to others the club has had over the years in the history on the club. He has started on a good note already all he has to do is to continually improve and make adjustments where necessary and if need be make changes. The players aswell must be commended as they also have a huge role to play for the success of the team and off course they haven't done otherwise.
I think it was either Ancelotti or Mourinho that said that Xabi will be a great manager one day before all of this and turns out they were right. He knows his shortcomings in the team and he knows his strength as well and he emphasizes the parts where they are strong and try to reel the other team there as well.

His style is a quick football, which requires a lot of training and condition to be able to match it, and there aren't that many teams who would not be tired and fatigued by the end, which allows them to win easily thanks to their quick style. He knows what could make them do great, and he knows what the other team is great as well, so he is ready to do any changes that is needed to win the game during the game itself.

In this case I do not think that Leverkusen's strength is the same as Bayern because however their conditions remain different in terms of strength and in terms of players, it's just that for management and performance this season Leverkusen is indeed very good and this is what makes them strong even with players who are in fact below Bayern.
Indeed, when it comes to player strength and quality, Bayern Munich and Leverkusen are very different, Leverkusen is still below Bayern Munich's players. However, what I have seen from Leverkusen is that in the last two years they have begun to show a revival from their downturn after the arrival of Xabi Alanso. I think Xabi Alanso succeeded in building a strong winning mentality in his team, maybe he imitated the way Real Madrid built a winning mentality in their players, and this is what Xabi Alanso is doing for his team at the moment.

Quote
For this season they will definitely perform better than before and Xabi really answered the confidence given by the club for his second season now.
Xabi is a blessing in disguise and his relationship with the players is very good which injects more strength into the balance of the club.
Entering the fourth week of the Bundesliga League, I am sure that Xabi Alanso will answer the club's challenge to him to continue playing consistently in every match with the strength he has so that his hopes of winning the Bundesliga League are maintained.

Stuttgart's success cannot be separated from the role of coach Sebastian Hoeness who continues to provide strategies so that his players can develop further this season. Of course, last season will also be an important learning experience for the Stuttgart squad because they had to go through difficult times before finally being able to return to the Bundesliga.

However, of all the players in Stuttgart, Sehrou Guirassy is an important figure and also a mainstay striker for Stuttgart and so far he has recorded 8 goals for Stuttgart and at the same time tops the Bundesliga top scorer list so far. Sehrou Guirassy looks more mature and his finishing is getting sharper in front of the opponent's goal. I think if he can bring Stuttgart to a better position this season then he will be a target for big clubs.
With three victories from their first four games this season including a recent away triumph over Mainz with a score of 1-3 Stuttgart has had a great start to the campaign. They may not pose a challenge to the top four teams in the Bundesliga but they have amassed enough points to easily avoid the drop. It is interesting that Stuttgart a team that is not typically in the top four is currently there. Their incredible comeback from nearly being relegated last year when they defeated Hamburger in the playoffs exemplifies their newly discovered resiliency. Stuttgart could end up in a comfortable mid table place this season or they could even continue to surprise with a top tier finish if they keep up this level of play. We are all intrigued by football unexpected nature.

You are very correct to say Leverkusen does not match Munich in strength, Yes they may be showing some brilliant performance recently which is very commendable and worth considering as growth on the side of Leverkusen but it's not enough to jump into conclusion to say they now match strength with Munich as Munich is far more ahead of them.

Munich has maintained a status that would require a lot of hard work by Leverkusen to unseat them their position as the champion and giant of bundesliga over the years. Munich still have all it's players intact and inform let's not forget so quickly. Leverkusen tho if consistent with their performance in no time they may build a team good enough to contend with Munich.

But then I must say Leverkusen is doing great and its worth the applaud even tho they are yet to attain that height were they can be comfortably compared to the bigger boys in the league but hopefully they will get there soonest if consistency if maintained, but for now Munich remains undoubtedly the giant of the German bundesliga until they get a better contender.

Looks like that Bayern Munich has now one to pay less for a contract as the Nagelsmann will get the coach of the German National Team.

Maybe it too early for me to speculate this, but at the moment Bayer Leverkusen seems very ready to compete with Bayern Munich, but still Munich will still be the unbeatable giant of the Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich is not unbeatable and for sure Leverkusen is one of the closesd teams to beat Munich.
And i have to say that i love to see that other or more teams catching up to can beat Bayern Munich in the german league.

Consistency is very important in football. If you are a team aiming for the championship you have to give your best in every game. If Xabi Alonso instills this idea in the team, we can see a much better team and much better football.

Some coaches can bring a lot of positive power to their team. Both the team and the coach need to be in harmony with each other. Xabi Alonso and his team have already achieved this. I think the team's cohesion will increase even more in the upcoming matches.

Bayer Leverkusen matches the same strength with Bayern Munich. You're right, consistency is the only key that will make mediocre club transforming into becoming an elite club. Bayer Leverkusen ranked first this season, they really got some guts to maintain the lead for some weeks. They have one of the best coaches, Xabi Alonso who's not relenting, making sure he knots every area on the pitch. With the present game performance, it will be difficult for any mediocre team to win them, they already know what to expect and they're ready. Xabi Alonso at their peak moment in the present season games.
Bayer Leverkusen is very much ready for Bundesliga I can see it from their performance. From their last game Bayern Munich which is known to be champions of Bundesliga played with Bayer Leverkusen was very tough and the both  team showed the same football quality,   with the consistency of Bayer Leverkusen it might lead them in getting something big this season.  Bundesliga is very much competitive that Bayern Munich may find it very difficult to win the league this  season.
Maybe it too early for me to speculate this, but at the moment Bayer Leverkusen seems very ready to compete with Bayern Munich, but still Munich will still be the unbeatable giant of the Bundesliga.
At that time we dont know what will happen at the end of this season but in depth these two clubs will be the club that holds Bundesliga title and runner up here but overall Bayern Munich which still deserves to be the leader of the Bundesliga in terms of performance is very clearly different even though yesterday match ended in a draw but its not guarantee that Leverkusen will be able to replace Munich.

Bayern Munich happens to be one of my favorites especially when it has to do with German football and they have really earn my support as a result of their achievements over the years but in this season they have seem not to be at that very best I really expect of them but then we never can tell the season is still at it's beginning so hopefully we will see things change before mid season.

On the other hand the German bundesliga table is been toped by a team we least expect to be at that position (Leverkusen) although they have shown a brilliant performance enough to earn the spot so they should enjoy it while it last as the season is still at it's early stage and I believe other teams are on the watch to see how they can earn a top spot on the league table.

Summarily I could say the bundesliga this season will come with more of surprises as every team seam to be putting in their little best, it is best to at this time keep an open mind as anything can happen since we still have enough time, I mean many weeks enough for teams to prove their self of been worthy of securing a top spot on the league table and probably be the champions.

We are at the beginning of the season and for sure we haven't seen everything yet, for sure Bayern Munich is doing something for their fans to likely comfort them for their last game I really think they are not at their 100% yet Harry Kane still needs more time and they still need a lot of practice for Harry Kane to get accustomed to the Bundesliga and Bayern Munich, for sure Thomas Tuchel is doing what he can and right now Leverkusen is a solid team much solid than Dortmund for sure, that is why the Draw from that game is really OK than getting a loss right,

Yes indeed, at the beginning of this season that Stuttgart managed to get very good results so far. Because anyway, Stuttgart is not a team with above average quality but at this moment Stuttgart managed to be in the top four in the Bundesliga standings. Despite the fact, last season Stuttgart was almost relegated, and because Stuttgart managed to win in the relegation round against Hamburger, so Stuttgart can return to play in the Bundesliga this season. Amazingly, Stuttgart have had a significant change if we consider the results Stuttgart have had in this moment. Indeed, at least if Stuttgart can maintain this good performance, then surely Stuttgart will probably remain in the middle zone or maybe Stuttgart can survive in the top zone in this season, who knows.

Stuttgart was once a team that could surprise many for sure but right now they are getting into the below Position for the standing and that was seen last season that Stuttgart was really getting down the standings for sure but maybe we will see their return for this season, and I surely hope so because I remember them as a strong contender competing for the 4th and 5th position of the Bundesliga back then,

Xabi Alonso had an amazing performance in this team and while other teams like Bayern Munich spent lots of money and hired more expensive players, Xabi Alonso didn't buy many players but still, they could make Bayern Munich stop in the last week.
Currently, there are some news and rumors about Xabi Alonso leaving Leverkusen for Real Madrid, that's why Leverkusen said they won't let Alonso to leave and he is going to stay until his contract ends in 2026.

https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/real-madrid/news/real-madrid-bayern-munich-both-want-xabi-alonso-as-next-manager_524263.html

That signaling on the hands was really epic, and sure Xavi Alonso was really happy with Leverkusen because they are a team that is easily teachable for sure but still many will not likely buy this kind of Leverkusen at first just like what happened with Union Berlin in getting the 1st position in the Bundesliga, for sure he will go for it,

Yes, Xabi Alonso has brought Bayer Leverkusen back to the limelight after a successful season in Germany; and even though Bayer Leverkusen has started the league in good form; i think the coach needs to downplay the comparison the media is bringing between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich because this will only pile up expectations and pressures on the young Bayer Leverkusen side.

I don't take away Xabi's important role.   But Bayern Leverkusen is always in the top 10 at the end of every season. Even they can reach the top 3 at the end of the competition. The last game of the season against Bayern was indeed quite good. They were able to get 1 point and were number 1 temporarily. Xabi came 2022 and he managed to give a performance no less good than the previous coach. But the season is still going to be very long, so Xabi also has a lot to do to keep them at their best.
It is not yet certain who will win the Bundesliga this seasons because there are still many match to be playing, Thomas Tuchel and Xabi Alonso are trying to compete fiercely to win the title.
I don't see any other strongests candidate other than leverkusen and bayern.
Some clubs like leipzig and dortmund are still below those two clubs. The competitions are very strict right now and bayern has found one of the strongest competitor to win the bundesliga.
We will start to see leverkusen to have perfect run this season to win the bundesliga and break bayern's domination.

If you are aware of the situation and condition of Bayer Leverkusen when Xabi Alonso came, then of course you will greatly appreciate the hard work done by Xabi Alonso. Because in fact, when Xabi Alonso became the head coach of Bayer Leverkusen last season, that Bayer Leverkusen's performance was also in a bad trend. In fact, in the first season Xabi Alonso became head coach of Bayer Leverkusen, that Bayer Leverkusen started the season by being in the relegation zone.

So, if for example at that time Xabi Alonso failed to restore Bayer Leverkusen's performance then of course, Bayer Leverkusen would not be able to finish in the top six last season. So yes, with Xabi Alonso still managing to maintain a good performance for Bayer Leverkusen until this moment. Then of course, Xabi Alonso deserves appreciation because with Xabi Alonso's hard work from last season, making Bayer Leverkusen have a good performance also at the beginning of this season. I am sure, Xabi Alonso will be able to make Bayer Leverkusen's good performance consistent this season.

The pressure will always be there for any team that wants good results this season, but in terms of expectations there is no need to expect too much even though at the start of this season Bayer Leverkusen, coached by Xabi Alonso, has shown quite a charming performance by balancing their number of points against Bayern Munich is at the top of the Bundesliga standings after drawing with Bayern Munich a few days ago. This is certainly enough to give a lot of attention to Bundesliga football fans because before the season started, this had never occurred to everyone.
The performance shown by Bayer Leverkusen at the start of this season was indeed very impressive, Xabi Alonso gave a surprise to all the teams in the Bundes League, this was none other than the hard work done by The match was hosted by the king of the Bundes League, namely Bayer Munchen. and indeed in the previous season Bayer Leverkusen also gave positive signs of improving quickly, but I can't think that Bayer Munchen is as crazy as it is now.

But do we not know that Bayer Leverkusen's performance will last until the end of the season? This is a big question mark for me regarding them, considering that other teams can also observe weaknesses in Bayer Leverkusen in every match.

I think that if there is a lot of pressure about equalizing Bayer Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, it cannot be assumed that it will put negative pressure on the Leverkusen players, it will actually be the opposite, Leverkusen will be very confident in implementing all its strategies this season.

Bayern Munich performance is still better than Leverkusen to date, Leverkusen entering the number one table in the standing doesn't mean it will continue to survive. If Leverkusen is able to maintain its consistency and improve its performance, I think it will remain at the top, but it will not be easy. Bayern Munich will continue to try to regain its position to winning the Bundesliga title this seasons.

Bayern Munich are the most successful club in the Bundesliga both in the past and recent times, and it might take a while before another team starts dominating the league from them, Bayer Leverkusen doesn't come close as a club that would take over, they might be performing well currently but as weeks passes we might see them dropping  points and then Bayern Munich moving back to their normal  position.

Exactly, Bayern Munich are the best club in the Bundesliga, but Dortmund tried their hardest to defeat them last season to win the league and unfortunately they lost, and what I am seeing now is Bayern Leverkusen are in good position this season their performance is very good, and I think they will try their hardest to challenge them and win the league, because the coach is very talented he will help the team and win trophys and that will be a good achievement for him and the players football is unpredictable Bayern Leverkusen can win the league because i see Bayern Munich are not in good form like Bayern Leverkusen this season.

.Agree with you, seems Dortmund have small possibilities will compete Bayern Munich for domestic league tittle race and I see with other team from Bayern Leverkusen and RB Leipzig have bigger potential keep forward for winning domestic league. Dortmund have loss 2 of 4 matches and Leipzig only have one loss then Bayern Leverkusen still unbeaten after success get one points away match against Bayern Leverkusen. I think for this season seems Bayern Munich have compete team Leverkusen and RB Leipzig for winning domestic league tittle, Dortmund have bad tradition on every years because they sold star player and can't find the same level qualities for replacing their player sold, still have opportunity with Dortmund active on next window transfer and sign potential player for fighting in tittle race with Bayern Munich, Leverkusen and Leipzig.

I don't see Dortmund performing well this season, they performed well last season I don't think Dortmund will compete with Bayern Munich and Bayern Leverkusen this season, they are stronger than them and even Leipzig are better than Dortmund now, they are not even in the top 4 in the league yet, I don't know what is wrong with them this season, I think it is because they have sold some of their key players to other clubs, that is why their performance this season is poor I'm hoping they do well in the Champions League competition.

Xabi Alonso helped Bayer Leverkusen to improve a lot in the past season but failure of the club in Europa League against AS Roma with Jose Mourinho shows that Xabi still needs more experience as a coach to win big titles. He does not have enough ideas and flexibility to change tactics when his players are struggling in a match.

Xabi Alonso is a coach who is still quite young and he has been able to bring very good development to Leverkusen in just 1 year so there is still a big possibility for Leverkusen to become 3 of the top teams in the Bundesliga because from the previous season there were only two Bayern team and Dortmund who are always in 1st and 2nd place.
From Leverkusen development at the start of this season there is great hope for them to be able to compete for the most points and win the title by competing with Bayern Munich and Dortmund but the most dominant and tough opponent for Leverkusen is only Bayern Munich.

How can it be said that Xabi Alonso did not have an important role in Leverkusen achievements at the start of this season?
We can see clearly in the history of the Bundesliga standings and Leverkusen in the last few seasons was able to reach the top 3 in the 2021/22 season and in the previous season Leverkusen only finished in 4th or 5th position.

Moreover in every match Leverkusen players have also created better games than the previous season and last season was the initial season for Xabi Alonso to do research and learn how to improve the squad he is coaching and now we are starting to see Xabi Alonso performance as coach Leverkusen.

IMO, Leverken does not have the same strength as Bayern Munich. after all, Bayern is one level above Leverkusen. What made Leverken become what it is today, was the presence of Xabi Alonso as coach. However, it cannot be denied that several Leverkusen players also have quite good talent. Plus, the system that Alonso has implemented for his squad is working as it should. This team does not only rely on one striker who is the goal scorer in their squad. However, several other players are also quite productive in terms of scoring goals. Apart from that, they created a solid game. and as a result, Leverkusen is now at the top of the standings. even though in fact, they have the same points as Bayern Munich. We'll see how consistently Xabi Alonso will bring his team into competition in this competition. The reason is, the Bundeliga still has a lot of matches left in the future.  which means, we cannot be sure what will happen in the next weeks offered by the Bundesliga.

On the Bayern side, I haven't seen their best performance yet. Kane, can become even sharper as a goal scorer as the bond between the players and coach becomes stronger. Apart from that, Tuchel will also not allow his team to be below Leverkusen's ranking. We'll see, because the competition in the future will be even more exciting.

Wrong, 16/17 they were 12th in the league.
I don't know why everybody here is jumping on the Leverkusen bandwagon here these days? This game has 0 championships, got 2nd place only 2 times in the last 20 years.  Roll Eyes
Why are you so unwilling? they are free to talk about it and it is not prohibited. Let the discussion about the Bundesliga remain alive, even though Leverkusen has been testing its luck during the last few matches. Even though it's still early in the season so there's no harm in people having hopes, we all know Leverkusen' history and can easily look for it.

Bayer Leverkusen is very much ready for Bundesliga I can see it from their performance. The defeat suffered by Bayern Munich was indeed quite surprising, but this is football where it is difficult to predict the possibility that the favored Bayern Munich will have to give up with a narrow score. However, this is not the end of everything, and Bayern Munich remains a club that has a winning mentality, superior players and of course defeat is normal. Maybe in my opinion, Bayern Munich' match against Leverkusen was a little unlucky, the rhythm of the game which is usually fast in attacking actually looked tough and it could be that they didn't want to take risks to play optimally because the players had to prepare themselves to produce maximum performance in the Champions League competition.

Yes that's right, before the arrival of Xabi Alonso, at the end of the season Leverkusen could also always enter the top ten of the standings and had also occupied a position among the top five at the end of the season, so I wouldn't say that the previous coach was bad, but maybe the previous coach was not really able to bring Leverkusen to perform better to pursue the highest position in this Bundesliga competition, and now with the arrival of Xabi Alonso this squad seems to get new energy and it is proven that they can perform better than the previous season until now as we see Leverkusen is in the top position of the standings, honestly this is not easy because there are always big teams that threaten them like Bayern Munich who can always dominate the title at the end of the season and also maybe Dortmund.

Honestly seeing their match yesterday against Bayern Munich was satisfying, they were able to survive until the last minute with many sharp attacks from Bayern Munich even though it ended in a draw, but I say this is a very good improvement for Leverkusen. Yes that's true, however it's certainly not the time to relax because the season is still very long, they must be able to continue to maintain their position, and I hope Leverkusen can continue to perform consistently with their best performance like this.
