Nagelsmann's problem was not just a problem with results and team performance. Nagelsmann had a bad relationship with most of the players which had a negative effect on the team.

The odds available for this fight will still change. I just tried to check again, Mainz has @13.00 odds. it's a shame, I don't have the latest information regarding the predicted line-up of these two teams. So, it's hard to predict what scenario these two coaches will do. but if we refer to the available odds, on paper Dortmund will win this match. at least, this can be strengthened based on the last 4 matches played by Mainz with defeats. even in these 4 matches, Mainz conceded 13 goals. so, it is very natural that Dortmund is far more favorite. but my guess is, this match will run quite tough. because, it looks like Dortmund will play a little more carefully so that mistakes don't happen.

I think it is going to be really boring match to see Mainz not attacking at all and play absolutely defensive game. Mainz is not going to gain anything special by winning this match or even losing this match. They will probably finish in the 8th position if they win and probably finish in the 10th if they lose. Nothing extraordinarily different from where they are now.

So they can go for both win or draw. In general of course every team always goes for the win. But they might think that they are not playing well right now so they might as well go for the draw. Dortmund should be ready for any of the situations. And as I said there is no other result that Dortmund should chase except for the win
