Dortmund is one of the undisputed heavyweight contestants in German football. With five Bundesliga titles, the club has proficiently participated in the hunt to secure more European league titles for years now, since after backing UCL in 1997. But seeing that the club isn't doing too well lately, the management should do something about it. As reported by Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke, I think the idea of bringing CR7 to join the Squad could be another means of rejuvenation.
The idea could indeed be very good, but it would be even better if the CEO of Borussia Dortmund was willing to target some young players in the transfer market later to complete their squad. Because if only one Ronaldo were brought into the Borussia Dortmund squad, I don't think they would get more help either, because Ronaldo is no longer young and has experienced a decline in his performance in recent years although he is still a very influential player when on the field

Dortmund has also had some bad luck in recent months. They thought they had found a reasonable replacement for Haaland in the form of Haaler. But then he unexpectedly got a bad diagnosis about his health. They can't help that. The width in Germany has also improved slightly in recent years. Nothing is lost for Dormund yet. Just look at RB Leipzig, in the beginning they were almost in the relegation place and now they are just back in the top 3. Immediately a nice showdown with Bayern Munich the first game after the winter break.

ya.ya.yo!
I don't expect anything less for Dortmund because I don't understand how a club like Dortmund who have a good history have suddenly become too profit oriented and prioritize profit making over improving the quality of squad and overall performance of the team. How do they expect to compete team like Bayern Munich who have a better squad and are hungry for domestic and international trophies. So it’s not bad luck, Dortmund made their own luck when they sold their best players to other clubs.

Dortmund are always lucky with their recruitment every summer, they have sold Haaland, but some other person that will play exactly like Haaland or that will get the required goals like he did will emerged.
When Lewandowski was very hot and scoring goals every match,it was Durtmund he emanated from, they sold him and Aubameyang emerged,After Aubameyang excelled,he was sold, and Dembele of Barca now emerged. If you look at their transfer exit history, you will see that they sell their best players every season because of money.I just see them as a team that have good scouting team.

Dortmund's productivity is still not quite enough to me. They are too far behind Bayern Munich in terms of the number of goals they have scored so far. Let's say we don't compare any team to Bayern Munich about that. But even then, for example Leipzig are better than Dortmund about that anyway.
They still rely on old players like Marco Reus, Matt Hummels who have limitations with their bodies especially Marco Reus. Their young players are not matured enough to replace these old players. In general Dortmund have less world class players than Bayern Munich and it is reality to say that Dortmund is less competitive than Bayern Munich.

Haaland's departure has really affected the team in a bad way. But Dortmund don't seem to be caring about that much now. Because their priority is to look for how much profit they can make in their transfers.
Every club loses Haaland should bear a big decrease in attacking. Having Haaland does not bring titles to Dortmund but at least they will have lot of goals from Haaland. Now they have Moukoko who was called for Germany squad in World Cup 2022. He is a future but still too young and he is more like Marco Reus, not too similar to Haaland.

This makes me disappointed about them as well. Because I miss the times Dortmund were caring about the Bundesliga title very much. Since they started to change their vision Bayern Munich have been so comfortable about becoming champions every season.

There are even more in the family. Hakan is the cousin from Kerim and he is playing in Inter Milan, as you said. Then there is another cousin Muhammed but he is not with any club. But Kerim indeed has a brother: Turan. He plays in the fourth league.
Both brothers have been coaching in the youth teams at Hoffenheim since 2017. But neither has made the breakthrough yet.
It is common for people who are good at football to have some family that wants to try out as well and get a better chance to be scouted, doesn't mean they will go further though. It just means that you ask people to look at your brother or your cousin and because you are Hakan Calhanoglu that means people will listen to you, if I told people to look at them nobody would have cared.

There are plenty of people like that in our nation as well, father/son, or brothers, if one of them gets any attention and becomes big, then they try their best to get the others. Hell look at NBA and Giannis, dude managed to bring his brothers to the league as well.

Dortmund might have a really big difficulty in retaining the second spot in the standings this season. I don't even talk about their leadership possibility because there is no way either Dortmund or the rest of the teams can catch up with Bayern Munich that easy. Dortmund have really tough opponents in top 4. Their form so far hasn't been impressive honestly.
Dortmund's previous performance did look less impressive, but there is still a possibility for Dortmund to make their appearance or performance even more impressive in the second half of this season or in the remainder of this season after the completion of the Qatar world cup. Because every team including Dortmund can target the best players in the transfer market in the near future and can evaluate the mistakes of their previous strategy to fix them for the better before the season ends.

Quote
They lost like the half of their games in the league so far. They have been competing in the Champions League as well on one hand maybe. But they should still be able to keep two tournaments balanced to have a decent season.
As for the Champions League, I'm a little less sure of Dortmund because there have much tougher opponents than in the Bundesliga this season. So the possibility of surviving and continuing to compete in the Champions League is very small, although it is still too early to conclude now as you said above on Dortmund's performance.

Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel came to Bayern Munich from Schalke in 2020. As his performance was not good after one year he was loaned to AS Monaco until June 2023. At AS Monaco he is a regular player, although his performances are not constant. Since Manuel Neuer will not be able to play until the summer, Nübel would be an option. For that he would have to be bought out of his current contract.
Bayern Munich has Sven Ulreich as another option. He has made a name for himself as a number 2 in the past and is probably the better option.

It is interesting whether Bayern Munich will really take back Alexander Nübel or will only maximize or utilize other goalkeepers in the current Bayern Munich squad. Because Bayern Munich also currently has two goalkeepers but with very different ages such as Sven Ulreich 34 years old and Johannes Schenk 19 years old, and it seems that Johannes Schenk came from the Bayern Munich academy.
Therefore, I think maybe this will be a big chance for Bayern Munich to maximize or make full use of young players, at least it will be a good long-term program.

Anyway, as long as Bayern Munich still has strong defenders or defense, then maybe just playing Sven Ulreich and or Johannes Schenk will be enough. Because Manuel Neuer himself is also not too perfect to defend his goal so as not to concede.
Thus, I assume that Bayern Munich will not need to sign a new goalkeeper and also will not need to bring back Alexander Nübel before his loan ends. But if the reason is for the Champions League, then of course Bayern Munich still needs an experienced goalkeeper.

No chance union berlin to win the title once bayern already taken the first place and that's gonna be so difficult for bayern to be replaced by union. Some clubs like dortmund and frankfurt were also doing so well during the last match before the world cup. Union berlin got some loses before the world cup and that will make union berlin will not even able to compete again for the title. The possible thing for now berlin to be on the top 4 and qualified for the champion league. This will increase the potential from the club to show the performance in UCL.
I think that bayern will always be dominating the competition for now. Bayern is waking up again and none can prevent bayern to get the title.
Seems have close with Union Berlin win the Bundesliga tittle in this season behind 7 points left from Bayern Munich although have many matches left, having consistency performance is most important if want to be champion but Union Berlin can't in the winning track after several games loss points.

Still not close yet with Union Berlin opportunity can finish on top fourth standing position, having three points left from SC Freiburg at second position I sure easy back to top standing if can consistency. Union Berlin not only focus at domestic league but also still have Europe League play off round match against Ajax Amsterdam.

Stumbling at the start of the season doesn't mean they don't play seriously, how could anyone think that a team doesn't play seriously in its matches, in my opinion that is something that would not be possible for a team that is in the league, moreover, the team is a team. the big one. It would be a fatal mistake if they tried to play like that.
They were just looking for the right formula when they lost their main player to be the best again, and now they have proven it by returning to the top of the standings.

Considering that Bayern won 6 games out of 6 in the Champions League in parallel with the national championship in a rather difficult group, I would not say that they stumbled. If you look at the actual result, it looks like a competent distribution of forces and the correct setting of priorities. But the irony is that having taken first place in the group, they got a very strong opponent already in the 1/8 finals.

The way Union Berlin started this season, many thought they would continue to challenge for the title at the end. But now Union Berlin is fifth in the points table. Their performance is very poor. They have won just one and lost three of their last 5 matches. They are 7 points behind Bayern Munich. Union Berlin has no chance of challenging for the title. Also, with Berlin's current form, it is very difficult for them to qualify for the Champions League. Unable to return to form, Union Berlin will not be among the top 4 teams in the table.
The decline in Union Berlin's results was expected, they do not have such a strong team to fight on equal terms with Bayern for the championship, and even more it looked difficult, since they still play in the Europa League. Not all clubs that have money and a full-fledged bench are able to play in two tournaments, and this would be even more difficult for a club like Union Berlin. Perhaps they should have focused on the Bundesliga and their chances would have been better, but they decided to move in bouth tournaments and it is clear that their results have deteriorated.

union berlin was at the top of the bundesliga standings for a few weeks, when many were optimistic that union berlin was not a team that relied on luck but as time went on, it was proven that union berlin was a team that relied on luck

returning to the top of the bundesliga standings is something that of course would be impossible for union berlin to do, even freiburg has performed better than them
Then when Union Berlin was at the top Bayern Munich was not serious with their games, not just Bayern Munich but other teams  that is why union berlin had the opportunity to be at the top. After   Bayern Munich and other teams began to take their game serious union berlin could not maintain the first position.
Bayern was always seriously playing in any matches of bundesliga but that's a common thing when a team got struggling due to the some problems. Bayern has adapted the new situation in the club like the came of mane which has been changing the playstyle from bayern. The gone of lewandowski to the barcelona was also forcing bayern to try the the play style. i think that's a common thing when you were seeing a team like bayern got bad performance during the early of season but it's slowly able to get its rhythm. Bayern needs to be aware with the new player that would be changing the play style too. I think that berlin was doing pretty well during the early of season.

People are overreacting to Neuer injury and I believe that we are talking about something serious for him, and that is true but Bayern is not the type of club that can't replace a goalkeeper, we are forgetting that this is THE club in Germany and they will do amazing with or without him.

I personally believe that he is a good goalkeeper that is for sure, but Bayern could lose anyone, upemacano, goeretzka, mane, sane, doesn't really matter who they lose, if it is just one player then they wouldn't be doing badly at all, they will do great and wouldn't really be hurting. He is getting older anyway, I feel like they should start looking for someone younger already.

Maybe, this is the right time to replace Manuel Neuer's role with Bayern Munich. we all know, that Neuer is a great goalkeeper. his role with Bayern Munich is inseparable. however, as you said. Bayern Munich will still do great things with or without him. like what his predecessor, Oliver Kahn, had done when he was still a goalkeeper for Bavaria.

however, if we remember the injury suffered by Neuer which required him to be absent until the end of this season. It's only natural, if there are a lot of overreactions from people.  and this is very painful for Bayern Munich fans, especially Die Bayern. I just hope that the absence of Manuel Neuer will not have a bad influence on Bayern Munich's performance later.

By the way, it is reported that Bayern Munich have moved quickly to secure a position for the goalkeeper in the upcoming January transfer window.

Last week it was announced that Florian Flick will be loaned out from Schalke to Nürnberg. Now another midfielder will also be loaned out. Kerim Calhanoglu. He will be loaned to SV Sandhausen (2nd Bundesliga) until the summer. At the age of 20 he can hopefully gain more playing experience there. So far he has played very little at Schalke. About 60 minutes so far.
Kerim Calhanoglu, I did not know about the player. Does he have any bond with Hakan Calhanoglu who is playing for Inter Milan?

If they are brothers, it seems the little brother, Kerim has worse potential than Hakan because he is still playing in 2nd Bundesliga. In the past, Thorgan Hazard was worse than Eden Hazard but now the younger Hazard has good position in Dortmund and Belgium national team.

Will Kerim be able to have success like Thorgan?

It's always good to make good results but the most important thing is to keep those results for longer time, this is what it seems hard for union Berlin but they still in a good position so far, it's not too late for them since they have enough time to recover from their bad results and why not getting a championship league spot
Union Berlin just needs more focus and consistency for the rest of this season in order to be in the best place even if not for the championship in the Bundesliga. Because I'm still not sure that Union Berlin will be able to win the Bundesliga this season by beating more teams, including the Bayern Munich team, which this season is still dominating the Bundesliga. If Union Berlin doesn't waste the remaining time and tries to make the best opportunity this season to rise with a better focus, then Union Berlin will surely get its best position this season.
