Today victory against mainz is a pretty important win for dortmund, the 3 points made them managed to extend their unbeaten run in 5 matches in the league, indeed now dortmund have a difference of 4 points with munich and make them return to the championship competition, I think if dortmund can maintain the consistency of their game of course it is not impossible that they can shift the position of munich, moreover they have the advantage of not playing in europe now and of course they have to be able to focus in the remaining league matches, while munchen which has a busy schedule can be ascertained if they will have a player fatigue factor and may make them slip in one or two games later, but the question now, is it possible dortmund can be consistent in the rest of the game?
If dortmund don't do it, I don't think they will be able to break the dominance of bayern munchen.

Dortmund are doing a good job recently. They won against Mainz too and dropped the gap with the leader to four points now. And I've started wondering whether they can make this gap even less to have a chance for the championship for real. Dortmund have seemed to be an inconsistent team in general. But they have a big opportunity ahead now to make up for their mistakes. If Bayern Munich continue to make mistakes like this, Dortmund can change something about the league finally. I mean they could end this domination of Bayern Munich.

Indeed, I truly believe they are back on their own game right now, just like in the previous Bundesliga season, of 2020,-2021 I could imagine they will be giving Leverkusen a hard time anytime soon when they snatch the 3rd spot from them, and from that last, Next match will be against Frankfurt and they are not a pushover team back on October 31, match it was a draw so this could be a hard match for Leipzig, but maybe their win against Furth will surely give them the edge a bit, the momentum from that win they might get that, and I think Leipzig gameplay changes now they surely have precision this time,


Well, I was surprised even without Marco Reus, but Erling Haaland is there so it is no problem but Dortmund did struggle a bit maybe because Borussia Dortmund has a great issue with injuries Right now even though Erling Haaland is playing they had 9 can not play players, Marco Reus, Raphaël Guerreiro, Thomas Meunier, Youssoufa Moukoko, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Steffen Tigges, Mateu Morey Bauzà, and Marcel Schmelzer, with the addition of Mahmoud Dahoud that is suspended, still Dortmund gain the momentum and win against the Mainz.


It was a good game for Dortmund, but the lack of players have seems very clear that Dortmund has struggled a lot 9 players that can not play is a huge number and Dortmund is just rotating with their available players, and Erling Haaland is not 100% into the game there must be something about him this time, but whatever at least they have won the game and I think that is the more important.

In the match against Mainz, Dortmund's performance was not so good. Although the dominance of possession still belongs to Dortmund, what they have planned is not very effective.
Mainz almost held Dortmund, they played tenaciously despite losing possession. but judging by the number of shots, it's the same as what Dortmund did.
The match is not so interesting, because the fight in the middle makes the ball always hit the opponent's defense. both teams may struggle to find gaps in each other's defenses.

They are now 4 points away from Bayern Munich with  more good games they might catch up with the leading team seeing how inconsistent Bayern has been lately. Granted they played better than Mainz, but yeah it's like you said, luck hasn't been on their side. They should be happy because they got it even in the last minute before the final whistle sounded.
Now that they are closer to Bayern Munich, they should just focus on finishing their remaining games with a win.

Dortmund created many opportunities but did not succeed. But I was hoping to see better gameplay from Dortmund. Because Haaland was in the squad. I thought Haaland would score in this match. I have seen the review noe for the Dortmund game and i have to say that Dortmund has got more chances that Mainz.
And they was just unlucky for not score more goals and also have seen that Haaland is back and playing again.
Fingers crossed he get back to his very nice performance in the next games and maybe we will see a surprise for the title,

The goal that Dortmund fans have been waiting for has finally come in 3 minutes in normal time before the match ended. This goal brought them to get maximum points dam reduce their distance with Bayern Munich.
Dortmund controlled the game, but they were unable to penetrate the defense of Mainz, I thought it would be a draw, but everything changed after Witsel was able to clear the net from Mainz.

I think clearly Dortmund can dominate the game because Dortmund has 57% ball possession, 11 goal attempts, 4 shots on goal, that is a good record and can lead in aggressiveness. So, this win is a deserved result and also, Mainz are a bit lucky because their goalkeeper played quite well and thus, this result is not a lucky one as Dortmund put a high effort to win.

Dortmund were lucky to score a goal in yesterday's match against Mainz. I thought the game would end in a draw without any goals. Now the gap to Bayern Munich is only 4 points. That makes it a bit more exciting. Dortmund will play against Cologne on Sunday. Bayern Munich plays the day before.

hopefully it will stay like this until the end of the season and not that dortmund loses points unnecessarily in the next games, especially since the two teams will play against each other in the alianz arena on matchday 31 ... in any case, it is now more exciting

Dortmund are very lucky that they were able to score full points. After the first half was over I thought the match would probably be a draw. But in the 87th minute, Axel Witsel's goal helped Dortmund to score 3 points. Expectations were higher from Haaland in this match. But Haaland's presence on the field was not well noticed. from the whole game Dortmund played ineffectively in this match, there were many opportunities that failed to be used to become goals. but fortunately there was a goal in the last minute to seal victory for Dortmund.

Dortmund needed 3 points and they were able to achieve that. Although they did not attack too much. Dortmund may have wanted to win without conceding any goal. They made a total of 11 shots in the match. Winning this match reduced the points gap with Bayern Munich. Dortmund are now just 4 points behind Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich are a bit off form now. If they lose more points in upcomming matches then winning the title will be uncertain for them.

Wow, yea, they actually did it and won the game. Looking at the remaining games, Bayern and Dortmund have fairly similar opponents (at least when looking at the current ranking). The next 2 games are against teams between ranks 4 and 8, and could be quite difficult for both teams (e.g. Freiburg vs Bayern in 2 weeks or Koln vs Dortmund next week or Dortmund vs Leipzig in 2 weeks). Then they'll have 2 "easier" games and after that they play each other in Munich. The last 3 games are relatively easy again.
I still doubt that Bayern will lose many points in the remaining games. So the only way to beat them is to 1) also don't lose many points and 2) win the direct duel (which will be hard as Bayerns will play at home)

Dortmund vs mainz .It was very important that Dortmund has won the match.  Dortmund are lucky to have won the match because  in Dortmund did not put much strength in match, mainz performed more better to me than Dortmund.  It is still nice Dortmund won the match because they needed to win to get more point

Dortmund deserve the win. Despite the Fact that Mainz had so many scoring chances but couldn't convert one to goal, let's just say last night wasn't their winning game because they really put in much efforts to stand out against their opponents Dortmund, but all goal attempt resulted to no goal for them. The late minutes goal scorer for the Dortmund team was Axel witsel, he gave Dortmund the lead in the 87th minutes of the game and that's his first goal in 774 days in the Bundesliga.
