I am not very inspired (by the odds) today. Bayern looks a bit short against Bremen, but even if there is some value, it's hard to imagine Bremen getting a point or more here. The last time they did was a decade ago Roll Eyes

I would have priced Hoffenheim a bit lower, maybe around 2, since Stuttgart is due for a loss imo. Hoffenheim has/had these Covid issues, but their expected line-up still looks fine and as long as Kramaric plays, all good^^

And as always I don't think Schalke will lose today. But they will not win as well Cheesy 0-0 or 1-1 is my call.

Anyone else got the feeling Mainz will get their first win on Sunday?

I got this feeling for a longer time already Grin But I think it will happen in a home game, so maybe against Hoffenheim next weekend. That being said, X2 for Mainz @1.90 is still a good bet, looks very draw-ish game and Freiburg at around 2.00 is too low.

In GER2 I played Braunschweig AH0 @2.57 (Pinnacle), because Karlsruhe being solid favourite is just wrong. Braunschweig has some Covid issues as well, but the market is overreacting here. The team from Lower Saxony is traditionally a very solid home side and are 3-1-0 this season. Karlsruhe in general are poor travellers and they are no world beaters. Last season they managed 3 away wins and they are not any better this year than they were last year. Could very well be a draw (1-1), but I will get my money back then.

Bayern munchi are my spot-clear favorite in this weekend bundesliga to win, but why am I now worried? I think it all about the international break, almost all German first team players are all first team starters in there national team, and they answered the national call of duty,
But their opponent can say their starters are as prestigious as bayern munchi players to start in their national team, but still I predict bayern to win

i think bremen will only keep up with the players from munich for the first 45 minutes. in the second half of the game there will be some goals for the bavarian team.
if bremen gets less than 3 goals it is already a good performance  Wink
a very interesting game is also on sunday. cologne vs. union berlin .
i didn't expect union berlin to be so high up in the national league at the beginning of the season

in my eyes today is the game bayern munich - werder bremen the clearest game that bayern will win without effort. the game tsg hoffenheim - vfb stuttgart is for me the game that is most difficult to predict - anything can happen here...
i'm also curious about dortmund and his youngster Youssoufa Moukoko. it's out of question that he will be substituted, but how he will perform will interest me

I think the chances for Werder Bremen hoping to get any points from the hands of Bayern Munich today are incredibly low, Werder Bremen might have only lost 1 game out of 7 games played but most of those games ended up with a draw, and even if Werder Bremen decides to play a defensive strategy against Bayern Munich today, I still believe Bayern Munich will have enough firepower to score goals against Werder Bremen and claim a victory at the final whistle today.

I guess or expect that Mainz will dont win in Freiburg as Freiburg was playing good the last weeks specialy at home.
My bet goes for Freiburg on a win in this Match.

I am more looking about Hoffenheim vs Stuttgart and my bet goes also for Stuttgart here .
Also would be intresting what Schalke will be doing this Weekend and Today against Wolfsburg.

Anyone else got the feeling Mainz will get their first win on Sunday? Freiburg has a history of beeing the perfect sparring partner for teams from the bottom end of the table and right now they are in slump by themselves. I don't really see them as the favourite here. I don't see the individual player of Freiburg that much better than the ones from Mainz. Also the H2H between both team is pretty even. Out of the last 8 matches either team won 4.

And Mainz now really has to start scratching some points together. Their next matches besides Hoffenheim will be against Bielefeld, Köln and Bremen. Together with Freiburg these are all teams Mainz have to beat if they wanna stay in the league. So that match on Sunday could be the start of the turn-around for Mainz.

What amazes me is last week when Germany lost 6-0 to Spain. If I'm not mistaken, didn't it say half Bayern Munich? That will probably not be good for confidence in this way. and that could also have consequences for that team.
I guess it would not have any affect for Bayern Munich if there players lose a game with the national team .
For sure it is not nice to watch for the coach that the half of team was playing bad in this match.
I havnt seen the german game about spain but looks like all was playing bad and it was an unlucky day for all.
You were too generous. Germany played terribly and totally deserved to lose. They were unrecognisable and completely out of focus: they did 0 shots on target (out of only two deluding shoots). Spain basically controlled the whole game with 70% ball possession. Trust me, if you watch the highlights you only get a glimpse of the utter defeat that German players went through.
Indeed. It was terrible. But so far nobody has been able to explain why this happened. We have to wait and see how Bayern will play on Saturday..... although Bremen is not comparable with Spain.

Bisq Market Day - March 20th 2023
This Germany league with go to be hot for those teams that fail to buy new players for the tournament.
It will hard for schalke to win this game because their coach said they don't need new players in the team, despite they really try for the last year match that make them to qualify for quarter final. Burussia Dortmund are still maintaining the position to win this tournament base on the new players their coach purchased, to make the team stronger to make sure they win this tournament that will qualify them to final. schalke will definitely lose to Burussia Dortmund  because most of their players are getting weak for the second half.

Its just a matter of time if they get hit by it also

Yes, I think a lot will happen and we will be surprised how much influence the current situation will have on the Bundesliga in the next months and years.

This Wunderkind will be eligible to play for Dortmund from next round on now; he will turn 16 on Friday. I checked the odds, because I was fancying a bet on him to score, but well....not very interesting Grin Found him around 2.40-ish to score anytime, but this is very low imo. I can't imagine Favre putting him in the starting line-up - Dortmund was/is always very cautious with him, he is f.e. not allowed to speak to the media. So making him a starter right away is not what I would expect, he will maybe get subbed in, but even of that I am not sure (depends on the score a bit as well). With these odds, I would now even like to place a bet against him to score, but didn't find any market for it Tongue

Whatever will happen, it will be exciting to follow his development in the next years and he will be the youngest player to ever see the pitch in Bundesliga. Maybe not next Saturday already, but in the next weeks for sure then Wink

I will be keeping an eye on him moving forward. If he eventually gets to feature in any of Dortmund, I think he would so from the bench as he can't bench a senior player yet since he still has a lot to experience and prove in order to earn a first team shirt. Since it's his first time, the odds for him to score is quite low. I was expecting the figure to be somewhere between 15 - 35 odds and nothing lower than that. He's good but there's a lot for him to still learn.

Considering bundesliga is a league with over 2.5 goals in average for each match i think it is reasonable to put that low odds even for the debutants , they still have a big chance to score.
In la liga such low odds is for a player like messi or suarez lol.
Not surprising anymore if this kid gets his chance and shining then become a regular starting line up.
Dortmund is a place for this kind wonderkid to become a rising star , bayern munich probably scouted him already haha.

Let the Wunderkind play  Smiley Still I believe that entering the football business so early could be a bit dangerous for Youssoufa Moukoko. Do not get me wrong, that is a hug opportunity for a kid, I only hope he will build his mental strenght soon enough to cope with the big boys games. Good luck to him.

i am also very excited and find it very interesting how YM will prove itself in the 1. bundesliga... Smiley

If the pandemic keeps going as it is now and not really will be going better in the next year also the big Clubs like Bayern Munich or Dortmund will get in trouble.
They losing money from the games without the fans and specialy Bayern and Dortmund when they play in the CL and other Cups.
Its just a matter of time if they get hit by it also , so hopefully it will be getting better with pandemic and the Infections all over the World.

All clubs are in financial crisis this year. The effects of the coronavirus epidemic have diminished somewhat, but clubs have not yet fully resolved their financial problems. At this time, if the government lockdown everything again, the clubs will face more financial problems. So all the clubs will try to continue the game. But it is much more risky. I think the safety of the players should be considered first without worrying about finances.

Of course the pandemic had a financial impact on all clubs. Just look at the last transfer period the sums that were payed there were significantly lower compared to the times before the crisis.
But financially healthy clubs like Bayern, Dortmund, Freiburg and Leverkusen are not in danger of getting bankrupt. Because all of them acted rationally before the pandemic and therefore now have financial reserves.
Schalke already were in financial troubles before covid and if the current situation goes on for much longer than this could be final nail in their coffin.

You are right. All the clubs now have some financial problems because the spectators or fans are not able to come to the field to watch the game. Now if all the games are stopped again due to lockdown then how will the clubs pay the players?
Games won't be stopped and it will only be played after closed-stadiums. The second wave won't bring anything worse than the first wave if people obey public health advice and social distancing.

That would be good news for us if the games don't stop. But we still don't know what FIFA or the governments of the countries decide. If the coronavirus infection is high among the players, it may be decided to postpone the games.
