Not your keys, not your coins!
All clubs are in financial crisis this year. The effects of the coronavirus epidemic have diminished somewhat, but clubs have not yet fully resolved their financial problems. At this time, if the government lockdown everything again, the clubs will face more financial problems. So all the clubs will try to continue the game. But it is much more risky. I think the safety of the players should be considered first without worrying about finances.
The pandemic, the lockdowns and the closed-stadium matches uncover the fact on financial managements for football clubs globally. They are all operating on debts. Big or small clubs, the portion of debts in their club budgets are very big beside another huge portion for player salary.

In the last decade, player salary has climbed up unbelievably. It is the right period to have salary corrections massively on players.

You are right. All the clubs now have some financial problems because the spectators or fans are not able to come to the field to watch the game. Now if all the games are stopped again due to lockdown then how will the clubs pay the players?
Games won't be stopped and it will only be played after closed-stadiums. The second wave won't bring anything worse than the first wave if people obey public health advice and social distancing.

It is necessary to solve all the problems in the complex, the health of the players is important and it is just as important to keep the finances. Fans are not allowed to come to the matches, tickets are not sold, clubs are not earning a lot of money and only broadcasts save the financial situation. If everything is stopped again, then big problems will begin, clubs will not be able to pay their players, I think this will not be allowed.

I think the german government will try to proceed with the professional sports leagues in germany as long as possible.
Amateur sports already need to pause during november, but bundesliga clubs are also companies and employers and some of them already struggled financially even before the crisis.
So if another complete lockdown would occur now i think clubs like schalke for example could be in huge trouble and probably would be in real danger of going bankrupt.

Infection numbers increase everywhere around the world these days, it is really not doing that well at all in the whole world. We had it worst during March-April this year but we are really going very high once again and some nations are taking lockdown prevention once again, things are really not looking good.

I can't say what is going to happen anytime soon with this situation and football, maybe it may get a break once again if things looking like this, but we are far away from the start of the season when numbers were so good that people were talking about limited number of fans, nowadays let alone fans it is highly doubtful that soccer may continue like this if there isn't any recovery in the numbers. Plus it hurts the quality of the league as well when this many people are missing.

This Wunderkind will be eligible to play for Dortmund from next round on now; he will turn 16 on Friday. I checked the odds, because I was fancying a bet on him to score, but well....not very interesting Grin Found him around 2.40-ish to score anytime, but this is very low imo. I can't imagine Favre putting him in the starting line-up - Dortmund was/is always very cautious with him, he is f.e. not allowed to speak to the media. So making him a starter right away is not what I would expect, he will maybe get subbed in, but even of that I am not sure (depends on the score a bit as well). With these odds, I would now even like to place a bet against him to score, but didn't find any market for it Tongue

Whatever will happen, it will be exciting to follow his development in the next years and he will be the youngest player to ever see the pitch in Bundesliga. Maybe not next Saturday already, but in the next weeks for sure then Wink

If the cases will getting more and more at the German League i guess there will be coming a shitstorm and a lot of other blaming to the DFL and FIFA.

It's not the DFL that is to blame here, absolutely not. It's in the best interest of the DFL that the Bundesliga can go as smooth as possible and according to their planned schedule. These national matches are scheduled from the UEFA and FIFA and are a huge risk that could let all the natinal leagues collapse. That's why Seifert, CEO of the DFL, was criticizing these natinal matches just today.

It is very unusual for Germany to play and lose like they did yesterday against Spain! And now looking at the rising covid cases among bundesliga players it seems like a perfect storm for german football is just hitting the environment.

There are not much Games left before the Winterbreak will coming but i think its possible if the Infections not stop they will put the Winterbreak early in.
Fingers crossed thats not happen but it should be expected , things getting crazy a bit here in germany lately.

Like you indicated, Dortmund don't want Haaland to undergo 10 days of quarantine and miss Bundesliga matches. He is playing awesome lately and if he undergoes a quarantine period, it could affect the team in the league matches badly.
Not much if Dortmund consider it as a sudden injury of Haaland. Clubs survive through many injuries (minor to serious) of their players and include their key players. It's not serious and not kill them but I can understand why Dortmund want to have Haaland on matches.

there is a conflict between money and safety, as always, and money usually wins, we will see what will happen this time, but seems that safety should win this time, and Haaland would not be allowed to play, and that should be the only decision, due to whole Dortmund team could be possibly infected, and than they will have much worse nightmare than this Haaland one game quarantine
It mainly depends on the Protocol of Bundesliga (Dortmund must sign it before this season began and they have to obey the Protocol) and public health strategies of Germany to fight with the pandemic. Dortmund and Haaland can not break local laws (in football and health system).

Latest news says Haaland won't have to be restricted with quarantine (due to he did not have close contact with the infected player) but let's wait for more confirmations and final events.

Quote
According to Kicker, Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland does not need to quarantine and is therefore available for selection for this weekend’s Bundesliga fixture against Hertha Berlin on Saturday.

Norwegian teammate Omar Elabdellaoui tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday whilst on international duty but after questioning upon Haaland’s return to Germany, the Dortmund health department understand that the 20-year-old was not in close contact with his fellow countryman.

It appears that this international events are a prosper field to growing and multiplying covid cases, even Suarez in La Liga was infected while playing with his national team apparently...
Anyone have an idea about the number of infected players in different major leagues?

And the next corona case at Hoffenheim. Sargis Adamyan has been tested postive about covid-19. It seems he has been infected during the last 5 days beacuse the last test was at the 13th and is was negative. Therefore he got infected on the international match trip probably.

I think Bundesliga will be very challenging this year. Bayern Munich are the leader and they are playing at a very high level. They have scored nearly 4 goals per match in the league. Der Klassiker was very awesome to watch. I wasn't expecting Dortmund to lose the match though. Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen are playing very good too. But in my opinion, Bayern Munich or Dortmund will be champions.

Bayern Munich  every year playing at a high Level in the German League and also international and its hard to beat them when they have all player on board and they fit!
But there are in the last years catching some teams up on this Level from Germany , for sure they not the same but the way they going is getting close to Bayern Munich.
Still needs some more time and years but they can beat them in the Match maybe , but mostly Bayern has that little luck to win them also .

Are you serious with Haarlad positive covid 19?

He is not be tested positve about covid-19 but the whole national team from Norway is under quarantine. That means he isn't allowed to leave his house. But Dortmund says that the instructions of the authorities of Norway do not apply to them...

I know it's OT but these tests right after you had contact with an infected person don't really tell that much. Most of the German national team had contact with someone that tested positive on Saturday. And today, 3 days after that they have their next match against Spain. And it seems like no one cares or gives a fuck?! Sure, they tested all negative today. No wonder when the tests usually have a false-negative rate of over 65% even 4 days after exposure (Source ). I know a lot of money is on the stake for the UEFA but with their crazy and reckless plans they are not only risking the players health and the whole time schedule of all leagues but also the acceptance by the public for the special role football has right now.

This could really have an impact on the next Bundesliga matchday.
This will have for sure a huge impact to the German League if more of the german players would be get infected !
Specialy i guess Bayern munich as they have the most players in the german national team.
But fingers crossed and i hope that nobody will get infected from the Match from another National team.

There is no news about Haaland got coronavirus. Romania-Norway match has been cancelled because Omar Elabdellaoui got covid-19.

Haaland does not get positive test but he need to undergo 10 days of quarantine (isolation) and the debate is does he have to go through isolation or skip it. Dortmund don't agree with isolation.

of course, it is not easy to see potential consequences, but this league match in Berlin could be won without him as well, and that would be smart decision to let him stay home
