So, we'll have another match day this weekend. I expect Dortmund and Leipzig to win. If this scenario plays out, then Leipzig will maintain their 1st spot and Dortmund could move to second or third spot. Bayern will move to sith or so, which will make it more interesting.

Bundesliga is back on track with an interesting game this weekend.
I also hope that Leipzig is going to win Bayern Munchen. If this going to happen, Leipzig will show its dominance to the German league.

And nice to see Timo Werner and Forsberg are still there.

Werner is linked to many clubs. I wouldn't be surprised if he did leave Leipzig at the end of this season. But who knows, probably he will stay and dedicate his future there.

He could move to Liverpool and play with Keita, but I don't think he'll play that much. Liverpool front three is almost unreplaceable.

Life, Love and Laughter...
Didn't know Julian Nagelsmann is now Leipzig's new manager.  I guess I'll start watching their matches this season.  Lol.  He's gonna go places (he's just 32)...  Hope to see him manage at the EPL.  Smiley

I was shocked at the Dortmund results, they are the strongest team on paper based o
On paper. You say it. But if they learn from it and the made mistakes don't happen again in the future, then it can be seen as a slip-up. And the way I see the team and the coach, they should have learned from that.

I am with you here... they have the quality and a very good coach and I am confident they will fight back. I hope so since I would really like Dortmund to win the title this year - as hard as it will be with Bayern looking very strong once again!

What does gambling have to do with Dortmund’s loss?!?!

He's probably trying to say that Dortmund vs Union is a fixed match. That's some serious accusation and somewhat disrespectful to UB.

You should remember that football is a game of chance and tactics. Having better players doesn't necessarily mean you'll win. Lots of matches ended up in the same manner — Tottenham vs. Newcastle, City vs. Newcastle last year, to mention a few of them.

I was shocked at the Dortmund results, they are the strongest team on paper based on their players and the time they play together and they lost against Union Berlin a team that came from second division. This just shows how much impact gambling and sport betting has in major events nowadays.

yeah, pls elaborate the connection between gambling/betting and the outcome of that specific match...

What happened to the New German Bundesliga thread that was made. I have been looking for it for a while until i stumbled upon this one today.
It was deleted by a mod without further note, even without answer when I have asked.

But most probably and obviously because this one existed already and my new one was to similar, so it doesn´t need both. Thus we have revived this old one after 3 months of absence.

Anyway, Bayern Munich went on Rampage today hitting 6 goals while Dortmund lost points. I think this season Bayern Munich is lifting the trophy again without any serious Challenge which kind of makes this league so boring IMO. No serious fight from opposition.

Robert Lewandowski is already leading the top-scorer chats with 6 Goals from 3 matches

Agree here, Bayern last but not least after signing Perisic and Coutinho, do have a to strong quad to overcome for the rest of the league.

The only chance to fail is with a long-term absence of Lewandowski, what is highly unlikely.

I think money is one of the reasons. If there are at least three or four clubs who can perform transfer windows activity like Munich then it's probably going to be better.

Well, another solution would be to develop young players and make them loyal to their clubs. Like what Klopp did with Dortmund.

I am with you... Lewandowski is vital for Bayern, its crazy he was never voted player of the year in Germany by the way...

Because of that reason, they should look for alternatives as soon as possible. If not they'll end up like Barca if there's no Messi around them. A good team should be able to perform at their best even though some of the key players are missing.
agree with you, dependence on one player is a very dangerous thing in soccer, Barca's game flow without Messi will be very different from Barca's game flow with Messi.

Bayern Munich is the third biggest club after Madrid and Barca, hopefully with their strength, in the period after Lewandowski retires (most likely Lewandowski will retire at Bayern because he just renewed his contract at Bayern), they can find players who have the same abilities as Lewandowski.

Bayern will simply raid Dortmund again and buy their ready made players, that’s what they have been doing season after season. Sancho is one player that they failed to buy, but next season I feel they’ll buy him and further improve on their title credentials. Lewandowski is vital to Bayerns plans, but going ahead they can easily replace him but a lot will depend on who their coach is and what system would he like to play.
Until Dortmund stops that practice of letting their best players going to their main domestic rivals, then I think that the Bundesliga is going to remain a joke to with no serious competition unlike the major European football leagues.

Seems like it would be an easy win for Leipzig tonight.
The are ahead with 2 goals scored against Gladbach. I expect them to be a chaser for the Championship title. They have a strong core team and I hope them to maintain high performance from the beginning till the end of the Championship.

RB Leipzig is very strong - I expect another nice season!

Absolutely. I like teams like Leipzig who doesn't need to make expensive signings and still compete for the title.
Yesterday, they managed to win 1-3 easily. The only problem that maybe they are going to face is the fatique during the season, a fact that it is going to drop their performance.

I hope they won't be like Barca-Messi relationship. What a disaster it would be if you need this particular player to keep winning. Any team should be able to score using nearly all of their players, that's what makes it interesting.
You may be correct, team play is vital to a teams success, but even at that every team needs a key man up front to get the goals and make things happen when called upon, just as Messi, Ronaldo, Aguero, Mbappe etc does.

It's not enough if a team plays so well, but do not have a player who gives them that cutting edge, it's good for every player in a team to be able to score, but it's impossible for some to grab more than a few and that's how it is in every team, those with 1,2...5 or 9 goals a season and those with 25-30+ goals, and lewandowski is that man for Bayern without a doubt

Agree here and that is the risky play Bayern is playing since years. They fully rely on Lewandowski and trust in his body to never miss to many matches. So far this played out quite well, but tomorrow is a new day. And wheneever something serious happens to Robert, Bayern will find themselfes in troubles.

At this moment Müller would possibly the next realistic option behind Lewandowski, but not without losing a lot of quality if Kovac has to rely on him as lone striker.

Football style of play is changing and teams are not built around a player .Series of injuries of such players has prompted most coaches to produce a more team playing style. Muller has not improved his play in recent seasons and continho does not look to be a team player. It will require a couple of games into season to know the style to adopt

Can you guys fix your quotes? It's difficult to read your posts. Just quote one or two posts that you directly reply, no need to quote the whole conversation.
