The next 7 days will be very important for Bremen. First they play against to Schalke and afterwards on Wednesday they will play at home against Frankfurt. I'm looking forward for the match on Wednesday. That will be a very important game for both teams.

This talk about home advantage - we only had three, yes 3, home wins in 18 matches, 10 away wins and 5 draws. This is pretty unusual.

In 2. Bundesliga we had 8 home wins, 7 draws and only 1 away win.

No home wins in yesterdays Bundesliga matches (3-7-12 now) and 2. Bundesliga followed the trend and no team was able to keep the 3 points in their backyard Roll Eyes

I don't really believe in some pattern in Bundesliga, but just variance. So we should start to see some more home wins soon. However for today I don't like anything prematch. Leipzig looks like a banker on paper, also because of H2H, which is horrible for Hertha:

Interesting observation. Maybe these matches played behind closed doors without supporters really take away the home field advantage completely.

(...).

We haven't seen that many matches after the restart of the league but even now I'd say it's remarkable. I wouldn't place a bet based on all these (silly) calculations but it really shows nicely the influence and importance of a cheering stadium full of your supporters backing you up.

Yesterday was a bit better for the home teams, no away wins Smiley Bundesliga teams went 2-3-0 (making it 5-10-12 in total) and 2. Bundesliga 1-2-0.

As discussed in this topic you can't ever take away the home advantage completely, when one team has to travel, live in hotel etc., while the other is in their usual environment. But I think it's pretty clear by now, that a good portion of home advantage is taken away by playing behind closed doors. The (german hardcore) fans are not happy at all with these empty stadiums as you can see with all the banners being put in the stands. Not only because they can't support their team and go after their addiction, but because this is all so weird, when you are used to packed stadiums with great atmosphere.

Todays match between Stuttgart and Hamburg will have added virtual noise/fans during broadcast afaik and I am curious to see how it feels. Makes no difference for the players, but will maybe make watching this whole mess a lot more enjoyable.

There isn't anything strange in a soccer match because anything can happen, with many gamblers complaining about this strange-looking result but I personally see it as something normal happens because I've experienced things like this in sports betting, so we No need to be surprised by results like this and we should be able to enjoy the game even when other leagues have not recovered. At least something like this can prove that skill alone isn't enough for you to win in sports betting, because betting is about luck.

Yeah, it's normal come on guys. Manchester City lost many games. Bayern had a shocking start to the season. So did Real Madrid. Leipzig drawing to Hertha Berlin is really not such a big shocker. I mean, they came back from behind so THAT is to be expected.

I think all the extra attention on Bundesliga means people are betting on favorite outcomes but it's not like that in football.

Oh, man. Another stupid game day. Betting on a draw is not so easy. And at this game day there were to many of them.

The 2nd Bundesliga has to offer a top game this evening.  Stuttgart - Hamburg. Third place vs. second place. Unfortunately it can be only watching at pay-tv.

Finally one good Bundesliga day for me. I played both to score on all matches except Ausburg one. That one I have chosen a home win. So 4/5 is not so bed with average odds of 1.7 per match. If Ausburg came trough it would an absolute delight since I also had a multi bet going on with all these pairs. Still nowhere near the positive 0 for Bundesliga games after the break bur getting there.

I had Augsburg to Win and Under 3.5 goal, then full time Draw, both options were parlayed with Victoria Plzen to win and Under 3.5, It was absolute delight, although I became nervous close to the ending of both games.

BTW, what the hell is happening to Schalke 04 ? they've lost all three games so far, but losing to Dusseldorf is new low, which has further dent their hopes of fighting for a place in Europe, teams can't lose these types of games and still expect to secure a spot with the elites

2/5 here... Augsbourg draw and Clowns 04 losing the game (as usual).
Didn't expect Leipzig to draw and Hoffenheim 3 goals
The 3rd spot will no longer be held by Leipzig after the next 2 games imo. Their performance is so laggy and disappointing.
If Schalke 000 was near relegation zone I would say it will be the chosen one (to be kicked ofc).

What do you think could they drop fifth and end the league there? I don't remember the standings but 5th wasn't to far away so they could easily drop there and that would be very sad for them, they lead the league for a while there in front of Bayern, than they dropped to second, now third and could go all the way down to fifth if they do not stop losing points and starting getting some more.

I don't think Leipzig will drop to the 5th place. They have relatively easy remaining matches against Koln, Paderborn, Hoffenheim, Dusseldorf and Augsburg. Their persecutors Bayer and Gladbach both still have to play Bayern Munich. I'd say  their match against Dortmund decides who's gonna be runners-up behind Bayern.

they have an easy schedule, but their form is on the low, so i still expect from Leverkusen to be third at the end, Leipzig fourth and M'Gladbach would be fifth

Thea all playing serious shit in someway , Leipzig has 2 goals and playing a draw in the last 10 min.
Todays match day already has 4 Red Cards from the teams that are playing.
If they all playing as nobody expecting maybe i should stop bet on it .
Wouldnt be surprised if Cologne plays again a draw against Hoffenheim , crazy and strange league !

So, Leipzig joined the 'crazy round' of the Bundesliga.

4 of the top 5 teams dropped points this week, 3 of them while playing at home and Monchengladbach away to almost relegated Werder.

It will also be interesting at the bottom, both Fortuna and Mainz currently drawing their games. A win for any of these 2 would really be big.

OMFG what an shitty match day again .
Why Leverkusen get 4 goals at home against Wolfsburg ? First they playing very good and Wolfsburg bad and now this Lol.
From Bayern Munich was to be expecting they maybe win about Dortmund but i was risking a good bet on Dortmund.
Looks like Gladbach also having a bad day .

Yeah right, a number results have went side ways for this round of fixtures and Leverkusen's defeat was the highlight of it all, I watched first half and they weren't totally a bad side then and were rather unfortunate to have gone behind before the half time.

I expected an better 2nd half from them, but It was a total disaster and Wolfsburg were head above shoulder the better side from there on, they had more attempt, shots on goal, the only thing Leverkusen could boast of was having the better possession of the ball.

It's been a relatively quite half for tonight fixtures, 3 goals from 4 games and only Hoffenheim are ahead against Koln, every other fixtures is at a stalemate.

EDIT:
BTW where is everybody? No comments for Leipzig failure?

Tbh, I wouldn't say I was totally surprised, I expected Hertha Berlin to put up some performance, they haven't lost any of their last 5 games, and they scored 7 goals in their first two games after the resumption. I believe Leipzig were highly undervalued by the bookies ahead of the game.

It was a wonderful game but I still didn't wagered because I am not sure about how the teams will be right now. I have seen enough to see now and I think I am going to end up wagering on the high end teams from now on before I start gambling again on the lower end as well. Next week I am going to gamble on bayern munich, dortmund, gladbach and liepzig games, those will be different and exciting this time around.
-snip-
Are you sure about Leipzig? Its results are weird. 2-2 vs Hertha at home... It can do better..

3 red cards in today games, wow! Draw for all except Hoffenheim leading 1-0.

Not gonna lie Hertha for an upset was called out here, they actually managed to get a draw and I wasn't expecting it at all but it turned out they were almost capable of winning too. Liepzig is not doing that well at all, they didn't come back with full power and it shows that they weren't really ready to come back and their shape is nowhere near the level they should be by now in second game neither.

There is also the fact that when you just watch a game and not even German, I am just watching a game for watching sake, but when you wager there is added excitement on it as well. Let's hope that nobody gets injured or worse infected, this is going great and the last thing we need right now is any player getting infected, that would cripple a lot of the situation we are in right now.

So guys if you want to earn some money play against my predictions since I can't get anything correct in Bundesliga after the break (2/8).
I respect your honesty (message written by a guy [me] who failed so hard to predict anything Tongue ). Well, I believe most of us sucked at this and failed. I believe also that staff/players are asking themselves how we won or lose that game (first Leipzig game for example...). Many surprises occurred!
Back to my suckish prediction for today:
Leipzig +2 goals vs Hertha (3-1 maybe?)
Augsbourg draw vs Paderborn
Mainz +1 goal vs Union (1-0 ?)
Hoffenheim draw vs Cologne (1-1)
Clown 04 vs Düsseldorf. I just wonder know whether Schalke will impress us like always and lose this game?

By the way Kimmich did so much defensively that he is my man of the match without contest.
Man, Kimmich as midfielder is world class, idk why Guardiola thought putting Kimmich as centreback or right-back was a good idea...It's not like he was bad in those positions, it's just that he feels so much comfortbale as a midfielder. He totally reminds me of Schweinsteiger who was also a very versatile player.

No home wins in yesterdays Bundesliga matches (3-7-12 now) <...>
Yep...I told ya'll before the restart to avoid home wins in your bet slips  Roll Eyes

Hertha for the upset you think guys?
double chance @3.xx odds is decent, but Leipzig found their groove in the last game vs Mainz so...but like @Trofo said, BTTS might be the pick for this game.

Interesting observation. Maybe these matches played behind closed doors without supporters really take away the home field advantage completely.

I just looked at the previous seasons. And according to this source the home win percentage was most time around 45 % (± a few percent), with mostly under 30% away wins.

I am not really sure if the stats from the current season are up-to-date, so I checked by myself and calculated the percentages. Before the Corona break (match days 1-25) there were 97 home wins (= 43,30%), 49 draws (=21,88%) and 78 away wins (=34,82%). So even before the break, we had slightly higher winrate of the away team than usual.

Since the restart we have, as you already calculated correctly, seen at this point only 3 home wins (only 11,64%), 7 draws (31,82%) and 12 away wins (54,55%).

We haven't seen that many matches after the restart of the league but even now I'd say it's remarkable. I wouldn't place a bet based on all these (silly) calculations but it really shows nicely the influence and importance of a cheering stadium full of your supporters backing you up.

Hertha for the upset you think guys?

I am not sure about the upset but they have been scoring like crazy after the break so I believe they can at least score a goal today. Hopefully, Leipzig will score one or more so I went with both to score. I managed to find odds of 1.70 for this game which surprised me since I expected something like 1.5.

So guys if you want to earn some money play against my predictions since I can't get anything correct in Bundesliga after the break (2/8). I also think Ausburg should do well today so probably it will end 0:5 for the visitors.

Hertha is pretty unpredictable for me now with their new coach. They had some impressing results lately but, without beeing disrespectful towards Union Berlin and Hoffenheim, Leipzig is on a completly different level. It's these kind of matches I'd usually skip but betting for both to score is quite a good call imho.
