People think Harry Kane has been cursed but i think he has just been unlucky and there is nothing as been cursed. He was also unlucky that ge joined Bayern Munich when they will suffer a terrible season the next season but now people are blaming everything to be on Kane saying his curse is what is affecting Bayern. I don’t believe it to be so, He just happened to be more unlucky joining Bayern at the wrong season but there is no way Bayern would go 2 seasons without winning a trophy.

Harry Kane is just unlucky as you’ve said and nothing as a curse following him that he’ll be blamed about. Even a team that has been doing well won’t be that easy for them to beat Bayern Leverkusen last season the where they were on top fire. He just have to join them when their most unexpected opponent was in their best form. I hope things get better with time for Bayern Munich so that Harry Kane can get to win his first trophy because I see it happening next season.

Leverkusen under the coaching of Xabi Alonso they look more mature in making plans that they will do in the coming season. By retaining many players who contributed or their success last season is clearly a step where they do not want the chemistry they have built to disappear just like that. I think I know what Xabi is thinking right now. It's not that he doesn't want to bother to create chemistry when many new players come, but he prefers to mature what he has started..

Retaining these players is the best thing Bayern Leverkusen did and I am sure it was because Xabi Alonso was retained so many of those players will want to stay  and still be training under his superb management. Xabi Alonso have put together a great squad in that team and if he grooms them more for the next two to three seasons, that club will remain strong and untouchable to be defeated by just any team.

Despite pre-season matches not fully determining the form of a team, the truth is that many teams that perform well in pre-season often do well in the main season. If a team uses its full squad during pre-season and their performance is poor, it's unlikely that they will perform better when the season starts. I haven't been watching Dortmund's pre-season matches, but based on some comments I've seen, it seems they have issues with their defense. If that's the case, the head coach needs to take quick action and find a solution, perhaps by signing great defenders. Sometimes, it's through pre-season that one can start predicting some teams performance.
The pre-season matches actually says a lot about the team’s preparation towards a fresh season, if a team is not doing well, they have to make adjustments before the beginning of the season.
On Dortmund aspect, I think it is obvious that they need to work on their defensive line if they really want to have a better season because defense wins you titles and no matter how good your team is, if your defense is bad, you will end up conceding a lot of goals that will make the entire team looks like a team with no seriousness.

Bayern Munich on the other hand has drew their second Pre-season match against Duren Merzenich. They narrowly level the score because they were losing since in the 40th minutes of the match, and they score in the 69th minute of the match to make it 1-1.
They display a wonderful performance in the match, and young players were given chance to play in the game as well. Kompamy need to put more effort towards building his team because all eyes on him.

Defense is indeed something that Dortmund needs to fix before they start the new season, I see Dortmund's pre-season matches are not too good they always concede goals from weaker clubs, it's useless if they have a good attack line but their defense is weak then their opponents will know their weaknesses and create strategies to defeat Dortmund.
However, I realize that if the coach does not bring out the best players in this pre-season match I think Dortmund still has a good defense let these matches be evaluation material for the coach to solve the problems that occur in his club.

In addition, this also aims to make Nuri Sahin sure for his players because we know that Nuri Sahin is a fairly new coach and his experience is not as much as other coaches because he is new to the world of coaching so it is quite natural if he starts concocting from scratch so that next season Dortmund runs well so I think the final results and performance in this friendly match are not bad for Dortmund.
Nuri Sahin i think knows what he will be doing and how to handle the players he have in Dortmund and a lot of players know him when he was playing there.
An interesting thing i just have seen is that Nuri Sahin was playing in Real Madrid in the year 2011 - 2012 damn.
But anyway for sure the most friendly games before the season starts is testing and to see how far the players are with there fitness and stuff.
Looking forward to see the first official game from Dortmund and who will be there playing.

They have also already brought in two strong players from their competitor Stuttgart, Anton (defender) and Guirassy (striker). With a few more strong players, they should be able to compete for the title in the Bundesliga under Nuri Sahin. It will now be important to find a replacement for Marco Reus, who played a very important role at Dortmund.

I've just checked the odds for the outright winner of the Bundesliga 2024/25 and not going to lie, I was quite surprised with what I see.
I expected Leverkusen to be the favourite. There's no way they'll be as dominating as in the previous season, but I still think they are more likely to win than any other team.
Maybe I'm just not a big believer of Kompany being able to make Bayern great again.
Bayern Munich is a big team and champion candidates for almost every season in Bundesliga even before Leverkusen can broke their domination in the last 10 season Bayern Munich is really dominate this league without gets decent contender so i am not surprised why some of the bookmakers still placed them as the first favourite of the champion of next season instead of Leverkusen because they have possibility will able to taking over Bundesliga title from Leverkusen

Last season too the bookmakers placed Bayern Munich as the favourite even at that time the bookmakers too give low odds for Bayern Munich similar like this season but the predictions were missed because Leverkusen who able to gets Bundesliga title for the first time and what i want to says about this i think being an the first favourite will not automatically can gets the title because everything is still determined by the performance of Bayern Munich for whole season

I am actually a little disappointed to see the odds  that was given to Dortmund. I thought they are a better team than that.  Actually recently they have not been able to prove themselves. So that might be a reason why we see this.  Bayern Munich is definitely going to have a very good chance of winning the Bundesliga title. And I think we all actually agree that they are going to face a good competition from Leverkusen. But it is not going to be as easy as it was in the  last season for Leverkusen. Because in this season Bayern Munich will be ready for them. i would actually like to see Leverkusen win but i would also want to see some good competition for the Bundesliga title. In the last season I was actually a little disappointed to see Thomas Tuchel's tactics & the way Bayern Munich performed. Maybe with the new coach Vincent Kompany they will be able to see success again

Nuri Sahin is just continuing what Edin Terzic left behind at Dortmund, so I think next season we will see a little change taking place considering several new players are joining Dortmund at the moment, Nuri Sahin is no different from Kompany at Bayern Munich which is indeed the first time in coached a big team in his career so there will still be pressure placed on them next season to bring their team to a better level than last season, so far we see that Dortmund is still experiencing poor performance in friendly matches so Nuri Sahin must be able to improve it quickly so that there are no doubts for their fans, the friendly match should be an opportunity for Nuri Sahin to find a strong foundation for their team next season and it is appropriate for us not to bad judge Nuri Sahin performance just based on the results of the current friendly match, the third friendly match that has been played by Dortmund so far there has been a slight improvement compared to the first and second matches, so we can conclude that slowly Nuri Sahin is starting to find the right formula for his team, even though it is not yet optimal.

I don't know why you worry so much about friendly matches because I don't see it as a game one should take the outcome serious. Dortmund have a good defense but they allowed the younger players to play with you know about that so why sounding as if they have a bad defense and are not need tighten it before the season starts.

Dortmund coach knows what he is doing and I believe he used the match to observe something to see if he will make some changes or not. Hey are you a Dortmund fan.
The result of a friendly match is not always important for a team, its players and coaches. Friendly matches are not really good as a benchmark for assessing team performance, in fact you should not gamble on them because the risk of losing is higher than in official matches. If one wanted to judge the team's performance, then they would have to wait until the season officially started. All teams will play seriously because victory is the ultimate goal.

Friendly matches are nothing more than just entertainment matches during pre-season. The coach only gives a little time to the main players in such matches so that each player avoids the risk of injury, so I don't think the result of the match can be considered important.

When Bayer Leverkusen were doing great last season one thing that was the concern of some fans was that even if they have won the league and the domestic cup they wouldn’t be able to compete the following season, this is because of the reason that most of these clubs usually lose their best players and even manager to other top clubs in the next summer. But this time around it looks exactly like Leverkusen will be different, their first big story to me was the ability to retain the manager Xabi Alonso I think he has been instrumental in decision of many players still staying, had he jumped the ship when the top clubs came coming I believe most players will have also left.

Although the transfer window hasn’t closed but I like the idea that Bayer Leverkusen are not looking to cash in on their players yet, even though the risk is there that if they don’t do well this season some of these players will have their market value reduced but it is huge risk that if it pays off and they have another great season again it will position the club at a greater height.
The club have been able to maintain some of the key players that made last season a memorable one. They have also brought in a few players like Martin Terrier, Aleix García, and Jeanuël Belocian. Some talented academy players have also been promoted to the senior team. Xabi Alonso also made an uncommon decision to remain with the club even when he had better offers from some of the best clubs in the world. Everyone will be looking out for Bayer Leverkusen both in the Bundesliga and the Champion League because of their exploits last season. But I am not sure that they will be able to replicate last season's performance.

Dortmund are not going great on this preseason games but same is to other big clubs to in Europe, Manchester city haven’t own a single game this pre season and not much fuss about it. Although I wouldn’t say they are a complete team yet but if you ask me they have at players that are capable of playing well just that team isn’t yet coordinated to me. The only position I think they need to take a very good look at is the left back position which is left open due to the departure of loanee Ian Matsen, i was hoping they would retain the player but they didn’t and now they need a replacement for him. The center back options are ok for me, Schlotterback, Hummels and a very fit Sule will be great if they are injury free. They also need to look for a second defensive midfielder to reduce the pressure on Emre Can
Considering the goals Borussia Dortmund conceded in two games, I am afraid they might not be in a good position to compete for trophies this season. Yes, preseason shouldn't be used as a yardstick to predict how the season will play out. But a club that conceded seven goals playing with some lowly rated clubs, should work hard on its defense. If they have players who are injured, the transfer window is still open. They can buy some good players based on their budget. They shouldn't gamble with players because other teams are preparing heavily for this season's campaigns.

I've seen kindergarten soccer teams with better defense than Dortmund right now. Giving up goals left and right? Even against teams we should be spanking? Thats not just bad, folks, thats embarrassing. Sure, you can say these games are just for practice, but this isnt some kids' league. This is the big time. And if you want to win trophies, not just show up for the photo ops, you gotta fix this mess.

This needs a total overhaul: new blood, new tactics, new everything. Defense wins championships. And if Dortmund keep playing like this, next season will be bad

The fans are watching. The world is watching. And some are tired of the same old song. Make some changes, and make them fast. The clock is ticking, and the goalposts are wide open. Dont let another season slip through your fingers because you couldn't keep the ball out of your own net.

True, Nuri Sahin is still very new in his coaching career but anyway, previously Nuri Sahin also served as Dortmund assistant coach even though he is still relatively new too, because Nuri Sahin became Dortmund assistant coach also occurred in January 2024. But in the middle of this year or for next season, Nuri Sahin was appointed head coach of Dortmund and not only that. Because anyway, it looks like Dortmund also really entrusted Nuri Sahin, because Dortmund also gave Nuri Sahin a contract until 2027.

Obviously, I think it's a lot of confidence to give Nuri Sahin the opportunity to become the head coach of Dortmund. And not only that, because the fact is that Nuri Sahin is also a Dortmund legend,  even though Nuri Sahin has played several times at different clubs. But anyway, the fact is that when he was a player too that Nuri Sahin played more for Dortmund. Thus, it is possible that Nuri Sahin understands Dortmund very well, so Dortmund did not hesitate to give a contract for a long period of time too.

If seen from that side it is quite real that even the England national team itself did not succeed in getting the Euro trophy this year even though they had made it to the final and England's reply goal only happened after Harry Kane left the final match. This is really strange but real because a big club like Bayern Munich who used to always dominate the Bundesliga by winning more trophies in the Bundesliga had to feel that last season when Harry Kane was already at Bayern Munich, but I am not so sure that such a curse will continue on Bayern Munich next season.
I don't understand what you mean by a curse, I can't remember anyone laying a curse on Bayern Munich, not winning the bundesliga  which they did won almost every season in the las season, isn't enough reason to see them like they aren't probably successful enough with their game or making it loik like they are u der a kind of spell or something. It was only a normal thing that at a point, a team will not be able to really win the league title even if they have successfully winning over the years and having Harry Kane wasn't an assurance to that so he wouldn't be blamed.
This is what many people are talking about when Bayern Munich could not defend the title because it was thought that Harry Kane was in it. I myself do not believe in something like this and I just think of it as a joke. We cannot always see a team continuously defending the title, there are times when they have to fail to defend it. It's just that at the same time Harry Kane came, so many people associated it with Harry Kane's presence and started calling it a curse. Actually in football this is something very common, there are teams that dominate but in certain seasons they have to fail. Moreover, in terms of play, the player who is considered to be carrying a curse played very well with Bayern Munich.

He did well by retaining them but when he leaves it will be difficult for the team to retain these players all. The players seem to be in love with his philosophy and style of play and so when the brain behind it leaves some key players will have no choice but to also seek a bigger team. I believe one more season is all they have before losing some of their players. Xabi Alonso is doing a good job at the club and even the pre season games so far has been great i just hope things work out for them well this season.
It makes sense when players choose to stay because they will still be with Xabi Alonso this season, they already know what Xabi wants so they want to help to realize success with Leverkusen. Moreover, they will also be in the highest competition of European football so they don't need to bother looking for a team that can take them there, because their previous team was able to take them to the Champions League, of course it's all because of the hard work of all the players and also the coaching staff and don't forget the management behind the scenes. They will try to realize that dream, they don't need to be champions they just need to show their best and be able to go far in the Champions League.

I think I know what Xabi is thinking right now. It's not that he doesn't want to bother to create chemistry when many new players come, but he prefers to mature what he has started.

The foundation is a basic thing in football and it seems that Xabi Alonso is trying to maximize it. The foundation they have built in the last 2 seasons is a good foundation, so with that they only need to do a few touches to make their game even more perfect. Also the players they have can be said to be even and actually if the coach can be observant, it is the even squad that can have very strong strength.

Of course it is not impossible that Bayern Munich is hit by the curse of Harry Kane who has always failed to get prestigious trophies, whether it is the Domestic League or the Champions League and wherever Harry Kane is the curse will apply to big clubs like Bayern Munich, I also hope that this curse will end soon at least doing things that might be able to buy and bring luck to Harry Kane to get prestigious trophies.

Finally Dortmund managed to win this match with a score of 2:3 this time Dortmund did well and did not disappoint their fans as a top club at least Dortmund must continue to show their best even though this is only a pre-season match. Dortmund scored 3 goals early in the first half and it was a good start, Karim Adeyemi scored 2 goals in this match in the 26th and 30th minute while Jamie Bynoe scored in the 29th minute what an extraordinary 5 minutes Shocked
I originally wanted to place a bet on the Dortmund match because I had prepared for it but apparently I missed the time Sad

I wouldn't say Dortmund did poorly, they did well and I'm impressed but I did expected more and you would wonder how, I expected more in the fact they they would have not just scored the goals but would have been able to defended it to the point they wouldn't conceded that much goal already but then they conceded two goals which makes me feel they had just a goal by the margin, Dortmund is a better team as compared to their opponent and they have a better strength and capacity to than their opponent, depth wise, their opponent is even of a weaker depth so all this are reasons I kept a higher expectations on Dortmund.
We don't need to worry too much about Dortmund's performance just because of one friendly match because after all, friendly matches are only used as one of the events to find a suitable formation scheme by looking at the performance of several players on the field, therefore we see almost the entire line-up players being replaced because this is also used as material to research about who are suitable players to be in the line-up in preparation for the budensliga next season.

Leverkusen is currently retaining almost all the players who were in their squad last season, this indicates that Leverkusen seems focused on trying to defend its title next season, so far Leverkusen has brought in several new players as you said and they have not sold a single player this time, Xabi Alonso seems to be still trying to recruit several new players at this time in order to strengthen their squad to be ready to compete in the Bundesliga and also the Champions League next season, It is even reported that Leverkusen is currently also trying to recruit Arda Guller from Madrid and who knows how much what are their chances of getting it?
Belocian is one of the central defenders who has performed quite impressively with Rennes, with his reliable play in the build-up game, of course he will be one of the central defenders who will most likely be able to get a place in Leverkusen midfield next season.

Leverkusen under the coaching of Xabi Alonso they look more mature in making plans that they will do in the coming season. As their defense has been poor, they need to reconfigure every single position in dortmund because if it is what they played last season that they want to play this season, they won't go anywhere. Their play last season was with a direction to archive something because even when they qualified for the champions league final, a lot of people already know that they can't win the champions league because they couldn't even win their own league, let alone the champions league.

Dortmund conceding goals from weaker club is just embarrassing because dortmund that we know, and they act as if they don’t care and refuse to improve even after so many criticism they get from people last season they continued exactly the same way they have been playing. The coach is looking tired of the whole thing and even pre season won’t change anything.

I don't believe in curse and if people are talented, skillful, ambitious, laborious, professional, they will succeed sooner or later. Some players like Robben faced with rumor about curse but finally he won Champions League with Bayern Munich. Some coaches did not have impressive coach careers before they won big titles, Ranieri with Leicester City and Premier League title, Spaletti with Napoli and Scudetto.

Harry Kane is very professional and plays well, scores many goals in his career but most of his career so far is with Tottenham Hotspur. It makes sense that he did not win titles with Tottenham Hotspur because they did not win titles in many recent years. Moving to Bayern Munich increases chance of Kane to win titles and one failed season is not enough to say he will never win titles because of an assumed curse on his career.

Bayern Munich are strong and they will return to winning track, then we will have to stop discussing about curse on Harry Kane.

What is a curse, I'm not even sure it exists. in this discussion, it's too vague if we talk about a curse, especially specifically for one player. as you said for example, we agree on that. after all, in football the role of players in every line is important. Kane has done his job very well and he has contributed 36 goals during one season. unfortunately, the efforts he has made with his colleagues have not gone according to what the club or Bayern Munich players want. several obstacles faced by Bayern last season, made the team handled by Thomas Tuchel unable to smooth their steps to win trophies in various competitions they participated in.

This season, Bayern and its players will do their best work. although we must always carry the name of their new coach, Bayern Munich is still a strong team in the Bundesliga. their chances of returning to being the team at the top of the Bundesliga standings until the end of the new season are still wide open, because in any case Bayern Munich has a very competitive squad depth. let's just wait, whether Vincent Kompany is able to bring Bayern Munich back to the top of the Bundesliga. plus, how strong Bayern will be in the new season with Harry Kane and his friends. It is worth waiting for, because they deserve attention as a giant team in the Bundesliga.

This is a very unfortunate coincidence for Harry Kane. As a joke of fate, Harry Kane has achieved many impressive personal records, becoming Europe's top goalscorer in recent years. But Kane has yet to win a trophy wherever he goes, from Tottenham to Bayern Munich and the England national team. The trophy has eluded him. Up to this point, he has had 15 years of professional competition, it is sad that Kane has not won any major titles, from the club level to the national team. Bayern have won the Bundesliga for 11 consecutive seasons, winning the title every season. But it seems Bayern cannot break the curse as everyone said. It's hard to explain and one can't help but wonder if Harry Kane is cursed.

Leverkusen is really maintaining their winner squad for next season. They aren't just making do with that as well though. They are even strengthening it more. Martin Terrier, Aleix Garcia and Belocian are new arrivals.  Smiley

Does anyone know much about this Belocian guy?  Huh  He is a 19-year-old CB who left Rennes to join Leverkusen. Rennes is really great at growing solid players honestly. I have seen many young talents leaving this team and joining bigger ones in time. Some French teams are really good at this actually. Lille can also be given a good example for that.

Anyways, I believe he can improve his skills easier under Xabi Alonso's management. But he had better be prepared for a big competition in his position.
