And if Guraissy performs well at Dortmund next season and competes as top scorer, Dortmund will sell the player to another club to make a big profit
at least that's Dortmund's way of prioritizing its business of selling talented players at high prices even though he bought Guraissy at an affordable price from Stuttgart, so Dortmund will promote this player next season by highlighting his performance to attract the attention of other clubs.
Not at all surprised by Dortmund's habit and I think as a business club they know what to do. Instead of giving Guirassy a long time, when an offer comes in from a big club and even wants to redeem his clause, Dortmund will be very happy to let him go.
I think it is still quite difficult for any team to match the prowess of Dortmund management when it comes to player business and it looks like they will continue to do so forever. What makes me wonder, are the fans silent about the behavior of their beloved club? even though if Dortmund wants to keep their players then it will be much easier for them to win the title. But again, being in the top 4 in the Bundesliga seems to be enough to make them happy.
I do not feel that much shocked about this, but the only thing that is shocking is the price. Dortmund got him for 17.5 million euros, which is insane when you think about it. This dude scored 30 goals in 30 games, scoring one goal per 80 minutes, and they spent only 17.5 million on him.
Guirassy is 28 years old, so this is not some "buy now, play a bit, sell for a lot more later" type of transfer usually, but looking at how cheap they bought him, they could play him for a few seasons and then could sell to some Arabic club for very much more, or at least like similar, getting 30 out of those clubs is nothing so they could still make a profit.
All in all, getting a player like this, someone who has proven himself to be a great scorer, for such a low amount, is beyond insane. I don't know how Dortmund does it, but one of the talents they have is convincing teams to part with their talented players for very cheap, and they have done it again.
I am expecting Dortmund to be better this season, last year between Leverkusen shocking the world and Bayern being second, Dortmund couldn't show their true power, but remember this was the team that almost won it a year ago, so they are still a good team.
