in india we try this method:

we sprinkle flour near the gate of the house or anywhere where the ants are coming from, then they eat or carry the flour and goes to their home or whatever. it works most of the time without harming the ants.

A:

You can use a vacuum cleaner This is a good idea if you have a lot of ants in the house.
Alternatively, you can use a pest control sprayer to remove the ants from the house.

There are a few things you can try to get rid of ants:

1. Reduce any available food sources. Make sure to keep all food in sealed containers and wipe down countertops to remove any crumbs.

2. Plug up any potential entry points with caulk or sealant. This will help prevent the ants from entering your home.

3. Place ant bait around the perimeter of your home, windowsills, and anywhere else that you have seen ants. Ant bait works by bringing the poison back to the nest, which will effectively eliminate all of the ants.

4. Use an insecticidal spray around any entryways and other areas where the ants may be gathering. This will kill them on contact and will help to keep them away.

5. Make use of natural repellents like peppermint oil, citrus peels, bay leaves, and cloves. You can mix these ingredients into a spray bottle and spritz around the areas where you have seen ants. The strong smell of these natural ingredients will help to keep the ants away.

maybe the ants are attracted to the sweet treats you have. So, it's better for your sweet food to be stored as best as possible so that the ants don't come back. in my house there are also often ants, but not too many.

Last night was eating apple, under 5 minutes at least 50 of them gathered around my plate, they actually climb me every day and night, Can't find their nest, too many heavy objects in the room and I had my disc removed partially, so not worth it trying to move heavy stuff, but I do use something called ant chalk, it has temporary effects but it's better than nothing. You just need to use it once a week.

look for the ant nest, and don't let the ant nest close to your house.

Hello)) Try the following ways :

1. Keep food in airtight containers or the refrigerator.
2. Seal any cracks or crevices around the house where ants can enter.
3. Wipe up food and drink spills to avoid attracting the ants.
4. Use baits and traps to lure the ants away.
5. Use a shop-bought insecticide spray or make a natural solution using vinegar, water, and dish soap.
6. Boil water and pour it directly on ant hills.
7. Sprinkle diatomaceous earth around the house.
8. Try natural repellents such as peppermint oil, cinnamon, or citrus peels.
9. Use boric acid as a natural ant killer.
10. Plant mint or lavender around the house to repel the ants.

My house was built on ground that was used for farming. We get a lot of ants every summer, flying ants too, they are so annoying. Nothing seems to work, I have tried the powder you can buy which doesn’t have a great effect. I even boil the kettle & pour boiling water down the holes they surface from. Nothing ever seems to totally rid my land of them.

You can get rid of ants in this way:

1. White vinegar
2. Borax
3. Pepper
4. Flush with hot water
5. Lime
6. Cucumber
7. Special pesticides
8. Salt

I've honestly never shooed away ants, but at least I just know what will drive them away. Hope it is useful.

We used to sprinkle salt around the place where they emerge/disappear, but can't remember if that helped or not.

there are a lot of ants that enter my house, if there is sweet food. and the ant hides when there is no sweet food.

I think ants are different so the way to get rid of them must also be different.

but to be honest my father used to spray it with something and all the ants died, but I forgot what my father sprayed on the ants..😅

Ants can really be a serious problem. One time my sister had an ant infestation and it got seriously out of hand. The ants must have built their colony in the walls of her old house because it seriously looked like thousands and thousands of them were living in the house.
I hear they like warm and moist spaces and that’s why they are attracted to the walls. Eventually she had to hire a specialist to apply professional grade insecticide to make sure they didn’t come back.

Ants are hard to get rid of. I have used various methods but they are not very effective. but recently I used a mosquito repellent spray and applied it to the ants. and quite influential. or sometimes use eucalyptus oil. to throw him out.

In my case I just found where the ant hive was, and I put appropriate poison on top of it. It destroyed the whole hive within an hour or two. I have not had any problem with ants since. I actually felt kind of sorry for the poor creatures, but I didn't invite them in.

Tinners used on wood also helps in driving ants away. Try  identify their holes and pour the chemical there.

Let's face it ants are such a big problem for humanity. I really don't understand their meaning in nature, but I can't deal with that, and it makes me so sad bc I really want to get rid of them forever, like mosquitoes. They are my second headache! I have a big yard, and I like it, but not in the summertime when many mosquitoes are disturbing my silence. I didn't know how to make them leave my house for a long time when I accidentally found out about mosquito pest control services. I thought I was blessed by God when he gave me such a perfect solution.

I think they are wonderful creatures and need to be understood. Once you understand that part of their job is to keep the environment in order by clearing the environment off dead insects, food particles etc you will begin to see them as friends that don't need to be slaughtered mercilessly with insecticide and other harmful substances.

I actually let them be most times to help me clear the food particles and dead insects I missed while cleaning the house. Once they start becoming a problem, I simply look for their holes and get them sealed with candle wax... Or I make the house free off their foods.

Sometimes I let them bite me when I'm not feeling very well. It tend to make me recover or feel better

I discovered a little trick, I had a similar situation like you. If you catch (scoop up) some of the ants that are far from the borax and dump them on there to walk around on it, them will get the smell/taste on them, and bring other ants there too. It's worth a try, let me know if it works for you.

Genuine issue here, does anyone have any good solutions to getting rid of ants?

Last time they started getting inside the house, but luckily they haven't reached that stage yet. I've tried those store bought ant poison pellets, and it seemed to have no impact. I've tried making some sugar water and borax solution and it did attract a bunch of ants to the baits, but it seemed to only get half the ants. So half the area is clear of ants (for now) but there is another stream of ants like a metre away that was unaffected.

Clean more often and look for food or something under the shelfs and so on.

The key to preventing pests is to keep the room clean. Ants will protect its territory and look for food everywhere. They will find a route based on the breath of the surrounding food. Therefore, keep the food sealed, the floor clean, and all surfaces clean.

Cleanliness is the key and based on that only ants and other insects etc do come. So rightly said about keeping our surroundings clean and it has good vibes when things are tidy and properly organized. Pest control once a while is also a good idea to ensure that proper care is taken and problems are fixed.
